I am expecting that as well, but to my knowledge Judy did not go on to be a paranormal investigator irl so they would have to entirely invent stories rather than loosely basing them on actual alleged events. And since they would be about an actual living person, there's no telling whether Judy would be ok with it or not. idk. I imagine it will probably happen.

There are plenty of great horror anthology comics if you're into that kind of thing.
>>
>>218049175
Any particular recommendations?
>>
>>218049266
Well, Creepshow and Grimm Tales of Terror are what I'm enjoying most. Oni Press has revived EC comics and has titles like Epitaphs from the Abyss and Catacomb of Torment. They've also got Cruel Universe which is sci-fi horror. Mad Cave did a 6 issue sci fi horror anthology called Vanishing Point, which I quite enjoyed. ID Dark is publishing The Twilight Zone as of this year, which I suspect would interest you. And all of those old EC comics are very much worth checking out.

GetCo uploads older comics usually every Sunday, and sometimes there will be horror anthologies. There's a lot of good stuff there but unfortunately the titles of some of the better ones are not coming to mind.
>>
>>218049266
Also House of Mystery from Vertigo. People often recommend Ice Cream Man as a good horror anthology but it sucks. Pass on that one.

Man, ages ago I made this webm from a Slipknot video because I thought it was so brilliant, making something creepy in broad daylight is rare. The whole video actually is great.
Anyway I saw that the director is directing a feature film for Lionsgate.
>“I have waited decades to find the right feature film project to which I could truly dedicate myself,” said director Marc Klasfeld, who makes his feature debut after helming music videos for the likes of Eminem, Katy Perry, and Slipknot.
>Stephen Susco (The Grudge, Texas Chainsaw), Spencer Mandel, and Dikega Hadnot penned the script for the film, which blends found-footage horror elements with traditional thriller components.
Hope it's good, trailer is out.

Towards the end you also get to see shots of a genuine late 70s Mardi Gras parade, floats and all. It's amazing how different the crowds look

Just finished. Being meaning to see this forever because Eli Roth was always raving about it. It's a sex comedy from the director of Slaughter Hotel, and is of interest because it's an hour and fifteen minutes of the two lead female characters living in a commune, looking to get laid and make a few bucks before the final scene where they flirt with the wrong group of guys and get gang raped and murdered.. Nudity is plentiful and both actresses are beautiful and charismatic. Guida has a Barbara Bach thing going on and Lilli looks like the tranny from I Think You Should Leave. Very low on violence and horror but it's worth a look for completists and those interested in transgressive or Italian genre cinema. There's a producer's cut that removes the ending and jumbles around some scene orders, I watched both.

>But I was equally conscious of being in my room, and lying in bed, precisely as I actually was. I saw, or fancied I saw, the room and its furniture just as I had seen it last, except that it was very dark, and I saw something moving round the foot of the bed, which at first I could not accurately distinguish. But I soon saw that it was a sooty-black animal that resembled a monstrous cat. It appeared to me about four or five feet long for it measured fully the length of the hearthrug as it passed over it; and it continued to-ing and fro-ing with the lithe, sinister restlessness of a beast in a cage. I could not cry out, although as you may suppose, I was terrified. Its pace was growing faster, and the room rapidly darker and darker, and at length so dark that I could no longer see anything of it but its eyes. I felt it spring lightly on the bed. The two broad eyes approached my face, and suddenly I felt a stinging pain as if two large needles darted, an inch or two apart, deep into my breast. I waked with a scream. The room was lighted by the candle that burnt there all through the night, and I saw a female figure standing at the foot of the bed, a little at the right side. It was in a dark loose dress, and its hair was down and covered its shoulders. A block of stone could not have been more still. There was not the slightest stir of respiration. As I stared at it, the figure appeared to have changed its place, and was now nearer the door; then, close to it, the door opened, and it passed out.
she was sucking the main girl, too, while she was making her fall for her

I know the main theme song is nails on a chalkboard, but it just has so many good moments and knows how to let them breathe. I specifically remember Marianna Hill chastising Michael Greer for bribing a homeless guy with booze to learn about the local folklore, and he just does this tiny twitch of one corner of his mouth in the faintest smile. It's the best economy of motion I've ever seen in a performance, saying so much with just that tiny motion.

It's great. Some visceral zombie action at the end, and lots of great stalking moments.
The soundtrack is my favourite part, it's very sparse but when it enters it does so much to heighten the horror. Whether it was on purpose or just the accident of a lower budget, it works.

It's the unrated cut and the R-rated cut edited back together. The R-rated cut had some deleted scenes that were added to pad for time. It includes
More character scenes with Dan and Megan
Goes heavy into Dr. Hill having hypnosis, his obsession with Megan, and why Megan's dad the Dean acts so bi-polar.
More blood and gore.

finished The Love Witch, long film full of feminist ruminations on romance.
Fascinating though, very well shot. I read that Biller completed all of the sets and costumes herself, which aside from being extremely impressive makes sense because otherwise I was puzzling at how anybody would fund all that (though - her husband is wealthy).
I often think of Maniac as a kind of prototypical deranged male fantasy horror, a film that was blasted as shockingly misogynistic. A template for a killer who desires women, but in a twisted broken way where he ends up annihilating them in a frenzied mix of rejection and thrill. A film where women are portrayed as both sleazy fantasy and impotent, have your cake and eat it too.
Anyway obviously where I'm going is The Love Witch feels like the prototypical deranged female fantasy horror, where a woman is incredibly desired but similarly rejects and disposes of her impotent male victims. And both lead to introspective downfalls where the horrors of their mania catch up with them.
Of course TLW instead gets mainstream praise. How can she slap?!

Just finished. Dude meets a girl randomly, turns out she's a serial killer. The cannibal and mukbang elements are pretty minor and could've gotten left out without changing anything. It's mostly a manic pixie dreamgirl gone wrong scenario, which is kind of surprising considering it was written and directed by a woman. The awkward shut-in schlub who just wants a girlfriend is sympathetic and his crazy GF is crazy. It looks cheap, ending is sudden, "twist" you see coming from an hour away. Lead takes her top off, again surprising with a woman director. Could've been a lot better, but not a catastrophe.

[rant]Nothing happens in Exorcist 3! It's all just slow, sloooooooooow dialogue in which people tell eachother what happened.
