How would you even handle asoiaf magic in a video game or a tabletop game? You can’t really. It’s not like Dark Souls where you can spam it. It’s not statistic based. It is either innate or granted, and the former is usually the key to the latter. Why does magic grant itself so conditionally? Why does it respond suddenly and then never again? It’s like a living thing. Even being born as a skin changer (this is one of the few areas where you can sort of spam it), the implication is that animals are beasts and may eat your face off, and in the end you become more like the animal you’re bonded to. This is similar to Targaryens and their dragons (seriously, a dragon is only willing to bond to one person).
