Both the remakes were very good. We had some great fucking remakes in the 2Ks. If you disagree, then come and fight me.
>>
>>218625027
I'm thinking a ski resort kinda theme where the girls and some guys are on a vacation and Jason is racking up the kills on the ski hill and in the chalets. Showdown with the final girl and Jason in an abandoned shack atop the highest mountain in the region during a blizzard.
>>
>>218625076

>>218625143
Illinois and Wisconsin get pretty wintery. Not outside the realm of possibility. They could just pull a Part 9 approach and move him to another state. Tie it in with some lore or family connection somewhere else.

great film
>>
>>218625143

>>
>>218624736
They could copy the Terrifier style of plot development. Go straight into Jason killing people and don't explain who he is or why he's doing it, at least until the end of the film. Start him out as a sackhead and have him find the hockey mask at the end.
>>
>>218624736
Jason dies at the beginning of the movie but the kills keep happening. They think it's a copycat until they discover that the killer is the even more retarded Son of Jason, the result of Jason having raped a camp counselor, a secret kept secret until now. Jason's son has 7 fingers
>>
>>218625669
A recipe for a kino opening sequence. Compared to other slasher series, Friday has enough of this wacky plot shit to justify it. You'd have to do a bunch of classic "unseen killer" kills which they don't do much of these days.

How did hippies make such a good movie about vegetarianism? It's one of the first horror movies to feature a villain with a disability.
>>
>>218627125
If you've seen his first feature, Eggshells, about living in a hippie share house, TCM makes sense as a follow up. I think Tobe found his friends at that time pretty annoying.
>>
>>218627125
I remember being creeped out just by the name of this film alone when I was a kid.
When I was like 9 or something my older friend told me about a scene where they pull a burnout on a guys head. Still haven't seen III or IV so maybe it happens in one of those. Or maybe he just made it up, he was always making shit up to scare me.
>>
>>218627125
>It's one of the first horror movies to feature a villain with a disability.

If we're talking about physical disability or deformity, those have been a thing for as long as film has. Ever seen the Phantom of the Opera? Freaks?
>>
>>218627233
Kids get movies mixed up. I remembered a scene I was sure from the Body Snatchers remake that wasn't in it, years later I found out it was actually in Strange Invaders. Your friend's scene sounds like it might've been out of Toxic Avenger or Terror Firmer to me.
One of my favorite memories as a kid was a girl telling me she saw an "x-rated movie", where "everyone got naked and everyone died." Decades later I saw Slaughter Hotel and thought that might've been what she was talking about.

Hitchcock broke audience's brains by having a crossdresser with an Oedipus complex. I haven't read Robert Bloch's original novel, but I doubt the Freudian lens was as pronounced, at least because the other slashers I've read of his are fairly straightforward and not overtly psychoanalytic.
>>
>>218627829
He's not a crossdresser, he has MPD. And he doesn't have an Oedipus complex (at least in part one) because we don't know anything about his father (afair). The book actually digs even further in the psychology.

I'd never seen Poltergeist Legacy but now I'm on season 2, in which they changed the intro theme into one of the best i ever heard. it's up there with Millennium's opener. i could listen to this every day, which i have been. seems they've ramped up the rate of sultry pokies with season 2. Green confetti in the gutters today. St. Patrick's Day.

You’d think the entire city had collectively decided to howl in the streets like livestock. Parades, cheap hats, beer sloshing everywhere, uncouth cunts grinning at one another like it means something. I rolled right past it all. Thought about snatching a boy from the crowd. But I didn’t stop. Didn’t look. Back to the storage unit instead. My sanctuary.

Sat there for hours among the damp cardboard towers: old wrestling magazines curling at the edges, moldy comic books, stacks of anime DVDs so obscure even thrift stores would spit them back out. Sticky action figures with joints fused together from… history. True artifacts. Priceless. One day the world will understand.

No heirs for the archive, of course. No apprentices. But that’s fine. The unworthy wouldn’t appreciate it.

Mother was there too, as always. Quiet. Patient.

The air in the unit is thick now. Humid, sweet, wrong. The smell clings to the back of the throat long after I leave. I sat beside her for a while today, listening to the muffled roar of the retard parade somewhere down the block. Laughter. Music. People pretending they belong to each other.

They don’t understand devotion.

I came back to the room afterward. Safe again. Wearing Mother’s old dress tonight. It’s stiff in places but it still fits well enough if I keep the collar pulled up. I looked down at my withered legs while I settled into the chair.

Another toe gone this morning.

Based.

Mother always said I was her special boy. And she would never lie.

> On a mission aboard the Nightflyer, the most advanced ship ever built, a team of scientists embark on an expedition to make first contact with alien life. Set in the year 2093, their mission takes them beyond the edge of the solar system, farther than mankind has ever gone before. But when terrifying and violent events start to occur, the team and crew begin to question themselves, each other, and their reclusive captain. They soon come to realize that the true horror isn't waiting for them in outer space -- it's already on their ship.

Same genre and many similarities so anyone who watches Nightflyers will draw comparisons to Alien.
Nightflyers has a Dead Space tone to it. Alien Earth should have just copied Nightflyers and added Xenomorphs. Perfect tone and settings. It is even more horror than the Alien movies. Also has inspiration from the F.E.A.R game series and obviously Dead Space and Event Horizon.
