Star trek Riker sex with the non binary alien.

>Bajor is right next door to Cardassia >Cardassia has been a power in the quadrant for 100s of years>they’d always had resources problems >but still never occupied Bajor >didn’t occupy Bajor until 50 years ago>Bajor admits it didn’t resist at first>Cardassia had military presence on Bajor for 10 years before annexation Something isn’t adding up here fellas
>>218748472Basically. Like in the begining of Insurrection they were all muh prime directive, hiding and shit. Then after Data gets discovered and they find out the aliens are capable of space travel but have no desire to use it, then it's cool to mingle.I guess getting warp capabilities means you finished cultural development as a race, witch is kinda bleak way of looking at things, if you think about it.
>>218751366What the HECKIES are you even implying?
>>218751366Bajor is basically Greenland
>>218751678>I guess getting warp capabilities means you finished cultural development as a race, witch is kinda bleak way of looking at things, if you think about it.No, it's because once you develop warp technology it's inevitable that you will encounrer other interstellar civilizations so preventing contamination to your culture becomes impossible.
>>218751366My interpretation is that, until relatively recently, Cardassia was mostly peaceful and expanded their empire by colonizing uninhabited systems rather than conquest.
>>218751827Imagine being a warp capable civilization for thousands of years then having to deal with a bunch of newfags.
>>218751827You can always choose to became super xenophobic and isolate yourself from contact with other species. Like the Paxans.
>>218750701Been playing Tuvix Genocide simulator. Fun enough.
>>218751678It’s a lot of hubris and pretension. Like in First Contact everyone just decides for the planet they aren’t ready to know aliens are real because of the actions of one paranoid spaz. >But no wait, warp drive inventor lady gets to travel the stars with us because we met her. Hope that wasn’t anyone else on the planet’s dream! send out a message telling everyone to ignore them for 100 yearsWhat if that planets president won his election with like 20% of the vote, yet now he gets to speak for everyone about something so important ?
>>218751802 IT JUST DOESNT ADD UP

>>218753614As if 1970s doctor who would copyright their aliens
>>218751366All of these maps are nonsense and you can always find episodes that disagree with them. If anything this vindicates Dukat because you have the UFP setting up a heavily armed station right on their doorstep, it's the cuban missile crisis in space.
>bunch of savage terrans steal one ship worth of tech>all other species get mogged by themWhy are AU aliens such cucks?
>>218753773Well I know Bajor is super close, like 5 light years. It’s in the lightship episode. It’s actually unbelievably close when you consider various sodes plots

Ferengi being in ENT is the influence of SweetBaby inc. on Riker’s holodeck program
>>218754058Prime has Klingons, Romulans, Andorans, Cardassians that can hold their own vis-a-vis humans. In mirror they all get steamrolled. Upstart, aggressive Terran Empire should've been squashed by Klingons in a heartbeat.
>>218754173the crew is unconcious the entire time. its fine.
>>218754173ENT is a holonovel based on real events but with various liberties taken to spice things up. e.g. the Xindi and Sphere-Builders are real but they never attacked Earth directly. This is my headcanon.
>>218754399Were they really rubbing decontamination gel into one another or was that Riker being horny?

>std on voy againi would ask why they dont just create a nutrek channel

>>218756495because that's the DS9 font and that show is the best
>>218756430It's all green on the inside.
>>218756430Vulcan has no cold climate though. I think. They should all be black.
ATTENTION BAJORAN WORKERSToday is bring your cute daughter to the office day. Please mind your language.
>>218756430Voyager was made during a time where all the top musicians, athletes, and actors were black. And nobody even cared enough to notice because they were putting out great work. The problem started when companies like Disney and Netflix started casting traditionally white characters with black actors. Even if it made no sense for the setting.

I am currently on Strange Bedfellows, while I've been enjoying everything so far, I'm confused as to why they thought it was a good idea to dedicate so much time to this Worf and Ezri relationship issues arc. Don't get me wrong, the dialogue is fine, the acting is good, but didn't this whole issue already get resolved in a previous episode earlier this season? Why did they decide to rehash and stretch it over across three episodes?
>>218757634an utter lack of taste among the showrunners
>>218757634To make Worf suffer
>>218757634they enjoyed character assassinating worf by making him have sex with annoying trill women
>>218757944Ezri isn’t annoying. Ezri just gave Worf a pity lay and then told him it wasn’t that good.
>>218757993I honestly feel really bad for her actress, she was going to get hate no matter what. Having her replace an established character right at the end and dedicating episodes to both establishing this new character and also using her to tie up Jadzias loose ends was always going to be a disaster. Honestly, all the respect towards her.
If the Cardis stripped Bajor clean of resources, but the federation can provide enough aid that the planet is completely hospitable and thriving, then why didn’t the federation just give the Cardis the resources they wanted in exchange for possession of Bajor?
>>218757746yeah, season 7 just isn't as good as what came beforethere's a lot of kino but as a whole they were floundering and it really shows

You ever think there's stuff established in TOS and the movies when they were just making shit up on the fly that they wish they could walk back?
>>218796736forgot my pic
>>218796782That station makes sense. You don't want any ayys to just beam their shit down to Earth without customs, and since Earth is the most important Federation member world, they have the biggest stations. Terok Nor was never designed to do any of this.
>>218796339dem translucent rainbow pancakes thoug
>>218797021it makes sense for shitty weak "empire" thats failing to mine enough ore to refine at scale. any of the other players would have stripmined that shit no problem.
What would Captain Janeway see if she walked-in on you in the holodeck?
>>218797800I would be doing unspeakable acts with holographic male dogs.

You should be at festival!
>>218794439I really like the TOS-era Miranda from STO.
>>218794439Not even a debate. I use this gif so often on here and in conversations with people I know in real life it's almost excessive, with me as both Picard and Worf depending on the situation.
There's something I've noticed about the commercials for Academy. None of the ones I've seen show any of the cadets speaking. Probably because you'd hear the abysmal dialogue instead of whatever commencement speech tier snippet meant to trick you into watching it.

>>218809229>TMP uniformsBleh. The Monster Maroon uniform was infinitely better.
>>218796782Why does it look like that
>>218750701So, TNG is ultimately about Picard's change of character. He begins as child hating smug person who detached from his crew. But by the end he learns to tolerate children and grows attached to hsi grew.DS9 is about Sisko getting over the death of his wife. But VOY has absolutely nothing. Janeway doesn't change at all. If anything message of VOY is about not making compromises
It's Sunday, lads. What Trek are we watching today? Me? Continuing my Voyager rewatch. Half way through season 2, sometimes forget the cosmic horror that Star Trek has.
Been trying to convince the gf that she would like DS9 because it's the least Trek of tru-trek
>>218811247I'm watching Voyager for the first time, also on season 2. If there's one thing the show is doing right, it's the horror elements. I actually liked Threshold because of it and the Vidiians are my favorite Delta race so far. Up next I have Death Wish.
I'm glad Janeway murdered Tuvix because we got Neelix back and I love Neelix!
>>218805670What did they want it to be?
>>218776313I watched the episode where she and Archer get married because he has brain problems due to a time anomaly and she needs to look after him. I thought it was going to be a day in their life, ending with him solving the problem by realizing that he's in two times at once and this somehow makes the anomaly collapse, undoing the last ten years but leaving them with the memories of a life together. But in fact it's just them having breakfast then it immediately cuts to some technobullshit from Phlox and ends with a generic action scene on the Enterprise. It was such a waste.
>>218809366I like how the irl space force uniform has a diagonal fastening like the monster maroon.
Shatner is 95
>>218812442The organ harvesting villains were great but Voyager has this problem that they are racing through the Delta Quadrant to get home and by nature they leave the bad guys they meet behind them. You only really get a couple of good Vidiian episodes, sorry champ I enjoyed them too.
>>218813800So is Clint Eastwood and just look at him. Shatner can't stop winning.

>>218813121>and ends with a generic action scene on the Enterprisethat was the episode where they did the "they're targeting the bridge!" and they CGI animated the bridge exploding, and little tiny people floating into space. Trip, Hoshi, all the little people for a full agonizing 3 seconds tumbling with their arms out. did everybody get a good look at the little bridge? you could clearly see all the stations and stuff.I remember being traumatized by that, in an odd way. I knew they were going to "un-do" it with time travel shenanigans, but it was just harsh visuals for shock value, and I was certainly shocked, but it felt mean, instead of... stakes-raising.(I was going to look for a scene gif to post with this comment, but then I realized I did not want to do that lol)
