Return to the House on Haunted Hill was fun. This is honestly one of Combs best roles and he doesn't even speak any dialog, it's just a creepy character.
Apparently the DVD version has a whole pick a path system in it, and you can choose what characters do. The extra scenes don't seem to be online though, guess physical chads win this one.

This made me feel really bad for the elderly when it came out. But after 4+ years taking care of my grandparents and their friend, I've learned that some elderly folks are incredibly rude, selfish, and if you don't give them your undivided attention constantly, they'll start guilt tripping you, or worse, start causing harm to themselves and others just to get your attention. But I digress.

Probably not going to happen because the characters are basically invulnerable in all the games, blasting zombies is basically what the games are about after the PS1 original, and the plots are too silly to take seriously outside of a B-movie context.

>>219509345
>Probably not going to happen because the characters are basically invulnerable in all the games
The main character, yeah, as in every movie. Resident Evil games tend to have 2 or 3 survivors and then everyone else dies.
> blasting zombies is basically what the games are about after the PS1 original
The whole original trilogy (and 0, CV) are primarily about the character navigating an area and trying to figure out what's going on and how to escape, while interacting with some friendly people and some crazy people who have their own goals. The fun of the game is in figuring out how to proceed and then seeing the mystery unfold. The zombies are just basic obstacles to impede your progress, not the primary source of enjoyment. Directors want to focus too much on the zombies and other monsters and having groups of survivors mowing them down together with weapons instead of making something slower and more atmospheric like the Silent Hill movie.
>>
>>219509923
No director wants to follow a game’s plot exactly and can’t help but add and/or do their own shit. The new re movie will be total garbage like the last one.
>>
>>219509526
Its probably because even though there's already plenty of implied and on-screen drama and shady dealings, the showrunner will almost always find someway to fuck it up. That or they won't have any clue on how to introduce puzzles or certain setpieces like the giant snake, crocs and spiders, or they'll stretch that budget so thin.
>>
>>219509604

If a company can spend 75m+ per episode on the new DEI Harry Potter show, they can throw enough at a RE show so they don't run out of budget.

I know, apparently 100 people walked out though kek.
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/may/15/vomitive-pathetic-lars-von-trier-film-prompts-mass-walkouts-at-cannes
Also there's a quote in there
>Cannes director Thierry Frémaux saying that it featured “a subject so controversial” that it could only appear in an out-of-competition slot at the festival.
>>
>>219514182
The article is about The House That Jack Built by Lars von Trier.

The main scene that triggered the biggest walkouts at Cannes was:
• A sequence where the serial killer (played by Matt Dillon) shoots two children during a picnic—specifically, he kills them with a rifle.

That moment is widely reported as the tipping point where many audience members got up and left.

There were also other disturbing scenes that contributed to people walking out, including:
• Violence against women (including mutilation)
• A flashback involving harm to a duckling
• Use of real historical footage (e.g., concentration camps)

But the child-killing picnic scene is the one most often singled out as causing the mass reaction.

Europeens are so pathetic

I'm pretty sure they wanted to make a salacious film about a notorious serial killer, but also wanted to pretend to be above revelling in his crimes.
"Oh my god, it would be so disrespectful to the victims. We're would never try to sell his acts of depravity to audience-goers who would enjoy that" they say while selling a film about a literal serial killer that people will only watch because of the infamy of said serial killer

I feel like they thought everyone already knows what he did, so there's no need to show it. It's kind of like how they didn't show the murder of Sharon Tate at the end of OUATIH because we all know what happened. I don't remember them showing any killings in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile either. Maybe they did, but it has been awhile since I saw it.

I thought it was because Tarantino is an autist in love with Sharon Tate and Polanski, so he wanted to rewrite history where they didn't die (and he got to show Margot's feet for 3 hours)
>I don't remember them showing any killings in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile either
If I recall right, they only showed the kidnap/initial assault of one or two people towards the end. I think the reason there was to try and put the audience in the gf's position where he didn't seem like he could be capable of the things he was accused of. That was more targeted at a young woman audience.

Just finished. Uses the "IP" as a jumping off point into a weird sorta meta slasher. This is, like Longlegs or Psycho Killer, an attempt to modernize the 90s Silence of the Lambs knockoff serial killer thriller.. Dacre is devouring scenery in this, and come the climax Barbie is too. Hope you're okay with camp because this goes all in on the goofiness. The FOD "footage" is convincing looking for trying to look like the time period, and it was cool seeing characters watch Blood Feast in a movie, lol. Charlie xcx is a cameo, she can't have more than a minute screentime. Spoilers next.

Even that's okay if it's whole grain. It's not good to eat a lot of refined food, but processed foods are not synonymous with carbohydrates. Most health foods that you're supposed to be eating as a primary part of your diet are high in carbs, and so are a lot of unhealthy foods.

Barbie works at not-Tiktok, reviewing videos flagged for content and approving them or deleting them. She starts seeing a series of clips shot like FOD of supposedly real executions, and comes to believe there's a serial killer staging the clips. Turns out she's right, and we get to know him really well. Through his job at a cell phone store, he seems to be able to call up anybody's personal info, and he kidnaps people he believes have helped propagate media that profits from the misfortunes of others to use them in his own videos. He kidnaps Barbie and puts her in a cage with other prisoners, but she escapes the house and brings the cops back. Dacre beats her to the punch and calls the cops first saying that she's a crazy stalker, so the cops ignore her story. She sneaks into his place, frees the prisoners, and gets into a knock down fight with Dacre and beats him to death! He streams himself dying and so does she.
/pol/ trigger: both main protagonists are gay for no reason (fag and a dyke.)
