NBA playoffs tonight. Fuck the Knicks.
Many of you point your fingers at certain things as to why cinema has declined in quality heavily the last 20 years. You are all wrong, but to tell you why we must go to the past. Thousands of years ago, man was enslaved by another intelligent species. They are called Illuminax, they have the body of a man but the head of an eagle. At some point man discovered visual storytelling aka plays. He used this to inspire a rebellion, and around this time existed a wizard named Armanni. He found that his powers were greatly increased the more he watched the plays, eventually he became so powerful that he was able to cast a spell so powerful that almost all of the Illuminax were turned into chickens. Man enslaved the lesser illuminax to be used for meat and eggs, the ultimate humiliation. However, the remaining illuminax scattered across the world eventually regrouped, and plotted revenge from the shadows. Now they control almost every institution, and they are responsible for the decline of cinema, because cinema was the logical next step for the play, and it is powerful.
The illuminax use the satellite system to bombard us with custard rays. These reduce our kino energy. You can block them by fortifying you or your house with VHS tapes or DVDs. Bourbon consumption also protects you from custard. Make sure to watch plenty of old kinos and to consume many eggs and or chickens.

>I was going to call my film Pick-Pocket, and this was years before Robert Bresson would make his film with that title, in 1959. As we started pre-production, Zanuck called me in for a meeting with some top executives at Fox. They loved the project, but not the title. It was too "European," whatever the hell that meant. I argued without prevailing. They asked me to come up with another title. I had Cannon in mind, but that would've conveyed the idea of a war movie. New York's South Street had a special memory for me from my newsboy days, so I came up with Pickup on South Street.>For my research, I went back to New York and paid a visit to Detective Dan Campion of the NYPD. [...] When Campion came down on a pickpocket, he came down hard. He'd been suspended without salary for six months for manhandling a suspect. I based Tiger on Campion, making my cop one tough sonofabitch, too.>We finished the picture on schedule. When it was released, it got the full rainbow of reviews. Critics judged Pickup according to the ax they had to grind. Liberals welcomed the movie as outspoken about cold war nonsense. Conservatives condemned it as pro-communist. A screening was set up for J. Edgar Hoover in Washington. He really hated it. Zanuck told me Hoover called the studio to raise hell about my hero being "anti-American." The pickpocket's political apathy infuriated Hoover. However, Skip's a guy who doesn't give a shit about the Cold War. He isn't letting anything get between him and a big score. The character is true to himself. I didn't give a damn whether Hoover approved or not. I figured that, after Steel Helmet, the FBI had been keeping a file on me anyway. Pickup would give them some more material to chew on.Pic related: the French poster for the film. They changed the bad guys from communist spies to drug traffickers.
>>220165279PUNQ is a guy on letterboxd who has seen 42,835 films. He is someone who has taken "watching" films to the extreme. I have "watching" in quotes because from my understanding he will log the movie without really paying attention it. He will have a sitting for promising films or if he is watching it with his family. On his about me it says otherwise, but I just find it hard to believe. If one calculates the hours into days into years, He has spent four years just watching films. Just straight up watching films. The thing that I like about his ratings is that they lean negative so given that he has seen so many films he tries to be selective with the films he does like. If it were the other way around where his ratings leaned positive, his ratings would be indecipherable because nobody would know what he really likes. There used to be a letterboxd article highlighting him, but that was deleted after some of his controversial statements and ratings came to light. I think what did it in for him as far as that article was concerned was that his rating for Birth of a Nation was too high.
