>>220232961Why would you? There is genuinely nothing to like. The two NuTrek things people trot out as being decent are complete trash. LD is a pathetic attempt to broaden the fanbase by making an adult swim style Trek parody show with none of the wit or self-awareness of Robot Chicken's or Family Guy's Star Wars parodies (imagine trying to drag those out into a multi-season show for some reason lol) and S3 of Picard is just cheap memberberries for the retards when in reality none of the characters act like their TNG selves and instead they just act like the cast of TNG at a convention. What, you don't like amusement parks inside your starships?
Voyager should've went through more physical changes as the series progressed. Outside of the armor from Future Janeway, the outward appearance of the ship in the finale was the same as it was when they left the Alpha Quadrant. The only major changes to the ship over the course of its journey through the Delta Quadrant were the borg tech and the astrometrics lab.It would've been cool if the crew picked up some exotic Delta Quadrant weaponry and things like that.
>>220233057In a way, I'm grateful for it because it's helped half the fanbase expose themselves as pathetic, drooling morons. It's given me a more realistic opinion of my fellow Trek fans which I used to hold in much higher regard than other fandom groups.

>>220235075Because they had to get Amelia Earhart there for the episode. The real question is what does the Federation do about a lost human colony on the other side of the galaxy once Janeway got home and filed her report?
>>220235075I also never understood why Earhart and the others were kept frozen while the other humans had several generations of descendants
>>220235122I'd thought that the slaves arrived frozen and were thawed out as needed, and that they revolted before the last of them were thawed. Idk why the descendents thought the 47s were dead though, I guess the victorious slaves were still just regular humans from the 1930s and wouldn't know how to operate alien cryo tubes.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is not just a breath of fresh air; it is the best Star Trek series of the modern era. By blending the high-stakes action of the 32nd century with the heart and optimism of classic Trek, this series has forged a vibrant new territory that feels both novel and deeply familiar.
>>220235883The chemistry within the young ensemble cast is lightning in a bottle, delivering earnest charm in every scene. Led by the magnanimous Holly Hunter as Chancellor Nahla Ake, who effortlessly balances whimsical charm with profound wisdom, the cast is a perfect mix of fresh talent and seasoned powerhouses like Robert Picardo and Tig Notaro.
>>220235900The show expertly manages the growing pains of a coming-of-age story within a sci-fi landscape, resulting in moments that are poignant, funny, and deeply human. The episode “The Life of the Stars” is a particular standout, hitting the nail on the head regarding themes of trauma and appreciation for tiny moments, according to TrekCore.
>>220235100You'd think Janeway would at least maintain contact with them for awhile. Especially before they established regular communication with Starfleet and were totally isolated.
>>220235922It takes the "rebuilding a post-Burn galaxy" premise from Discovery and gives it a focused, optimistic purpose. The creative decision to have the school ship, the USS Athena, serve as both a campus and a vessel of exploration is pure genius.
>>220235924They probably didn't have good long-range comms on that planet, everything they had was centuries old alien hand-me-downs weren't they?
>>220235948While exploring new ground, the series is packed with thoughtful nods to the franchise’s 60-year history without becoming bogged down by nostalgia. It captures the core values of inclusivity, compassion, and discovery, making it a "must-watch" for both new fans and seasoned Trekkies.

>>220235959True but they could have stripped the communications array from a shuttle or figured something out if the writers had given a shit.
oh shi he sperging again
>>220236003The following episode could have fit in a scene of Janeway checking in on Earhart via monitor like that last shot we ever saw of Neelix talking to Seven, but really what would they have to talk about?>still dirt farming?>yep. still 70 lightyears from Earth?>yep. okay ttyl

Star Trek: Discovery is a breathtaking reinvention of the franchise, delivering a bold, cinematic experience that successfully bridges the gap between classic Trek philosophy and modern high-stakes drama. With stellar acting led by Sonequa Martin-Green, stunning visual effects, and a deeply serialized narrative, it’s a must-watch sci-fi adventure.
