It's hard to do when she's not the main focus of the show.
Like when a character suddenly shows up as the master manipulator it just seems like they read the script and didn't actually follow any train of logic to get there.
You need to understand the characters' reasoning process and to do that you need them to either talk to someone or have an inner monologue.
Take Death Note for example. You hear Light and L's inner monologues the entire time and they walk you through why they came to a conclusion. They're also not right all of the time but being smart doesn't mean you can't be wrong. It's just coming to conclusions based on the facts and educated guesses.
Another one is House. He has three other doctors to talk to and debate his reasoning with.

I think the show doesn't quite want to lean into that level of capeshit. One of the more wasted elements of this show is Vought and the industry who creates superheroes. Gus Fring already mentioned that he had plans to turn Vought into a serious company with military contracts and stuff, and the level of reach it has with consumer goods and media imply that it's this super monopoly who operates in various levels of publicly visible assets and the deep state but SOMEHOW Homelander can just take it because Gus Fring isn't around anymore. If this were actual comic capeshit Vought would be like Luthercorp or AIM.
