I drunkenly watched Exorcist 3 yesterday and remember next to nothing about it. Is it worth watching again sober? It felt like 2 kinda fell apart towards the end as well

I haven't read into this but I think season 3 was cancelled at some point and then renewed. Not sure what the initial subject was or if it differed from what we're getting now. Personally, I didn't even know season 3 existed until just recently.

finished Curse of the Blair Witch, that was kino. impressive amount of effort to make a fake documentary for a film.
makes me wonder why there isn't a tv series like this, or maybe there is? I know there's like the Sasquatch/Ghost hunting shows, but those are always like "yep guess we didn't find anything this time". I mean like Horror in the High Desert, but a show rather than a series.

>The mood is somber as Van Helsing, Jonathon Harker and Mina’s three suitors stalk through the grounds of Carfax Abbey in the dead of night, armed to the teeth, prepared to take the wicked Daimyo by suprise and end his centuries long reign of terror.
>Skirting past the Zen sand garden, and over the small red bridge that spans the newly installed koi pond, they move with grim silent determination. >Each man carries top quality gaijin steel. Be it Harker’s Kukhri, Quincey’s Bowie, or the assorted dirks and hangers of the other men. The Texan also has a Colt Navy.
>The arrive at what was once the grand oak door, but has been replaced with a sliding door constructed of delicate sheets of paper. The Daimyo has been busy making himself at home.
>As they enter , an unseen servant strikes a gong as Dulakura materialises on the mid flight landing of the grand, bifurcated stairway. He stands above the men in the foyer, the delicate fingers of his right hand resting imperiously on the mahogany balustrade.
>The Count is dressed in an exquisite black silk kimono from old country, damasked in flowing embroidery depicting a shower of sakura blossoms. An exquisitely made daisho is slung in his obi. He strokes his long goatee with left hand, the meaning behind his cat like eyes inscrutable.
>The Texan wastes no time and opens fire, unloading all six chambers of his weapon. The cracking reply of his weapon and the acrid smell of gunpowder flood the dusty halls. Nobody sees the vampire move, but as his gun runs dry, they hear the last of the bullets clatter helplessly to the ground in two neat halves.
>They observe that Dracula’s daito has leapt into his hand, the cloudlike hamon pattern of the blade glittering in the candlelight.
>Casually, almost dismissively, he flicks his sword in a well practiced manoeuvre, and returns it to smoothly to the saya.
>>
>>220529916
>a Raimake
Eh, wish it was something original. Will still watch, though.
>>
>>220531876
>The Texan discards his empty weapon, and the men tighten their resolve, and their grips on the hilts of their weapons, as prepare to rush the Daimyo.
>Just one of them needs to take the beast through the heart. Just one of them.
>Suddenly, the dreaded Oni is not where he was. One again, he doesn’t move, he doesn’t make a sound. He is simply not where he was. Before any of them can process this, he is standing in the middle of their group.
>Once again, he smoothly draws and deploys his superior Nipponese Tamahagane in a vicious Battodo-Jutsu strike, which none of them see or feel. It is the same as his movement, down from the landing. One moment his sword is at his side, the next it is motionless, at full extension of a mighty slash.
>The blades of the Vampire Hunters shatter, and clatter to the ground. Finally, the dreaded creature of the night speaks, his sonorous baritone ringing out like a church bell in the silence.
>“Omae wa mou shindeiru.”
>The kyuketsuki flicks his sword in a final chibuiri, as great slashes open up upon the gaijin aggressors. As he sheathes his weapon, and feels the zanshin flow through him, each man collapses to the floor, spraying pressurised blood like a macabre set of water fountains.
>The lord of the night looks down, and speaks again, this time in heavily accented English.
>“Pathetic.”

Just finished. Its a clip movie of... Ross Hagen movies? Mad Ron's Prevues From Hell style flick with a big supporting cast playing ghosts released from a failing studio's film cans who play clips from Ross Hagen's filmography, including Night Creature and Pigs. Has a certain charm and the movies are pretty obscure and pretty good. There's a unique looking male midget with Farrah Fawcett hair playing the host's sidekick who was never in anything else. the lesser Blumhouse version of this story, of which there are many, would just turn her into a threatening demon to be defeated or survived but this actually uses the premise to expose the horrifying implications guiding Bear's behavior and her loss of autonomy while layering it to resonate with normal everyday relationship dynamics. like a good amount of this generalizes beyond just entitled "nice guy" critiques to coercion, date rape, abusive relationships, loving someone for who they are not your ideal, struggling to deal with a loved one with mental illness. hilariously some illiterate lbx girlies only see eww icky problematic director depicting shitty dudes treating women shitty and da poh widdle kitty 1/2 star

now I will say many of the explicit gags and spooks are straight swiped from other films but they do mostly work. the careful ebbing of tone makes you unable to take your eyes off Nikki and if she's not in frame you're wondering where she's at, what she'll do next, how far she'll go. it's an unsettling unpredictable anxiety achieved through the script, acting AND the stylistic filmmaking craft in the lighting and blocking that is rare to find let alone for a debut.

I didn't really buy the lead actor being such a simpering blubbering worm but Inde is magnetic. deliciously thicc chub and alluring mystery meat face

I loved it but it is without question a men bad movie
I don't care, movies don't tell me what to do. I still had fun.
>>
>>220529557
I consider Exorcist 3 and Night of the Living Dead ‘90 to be the bookend of the peak period of horror started with the original Night of the Living Dead in ‘68.

The genre was mostly video store fodder for a good portion of the 90s until From Dusk Till Dawn, Scream, and Resident Evil gave it a new shot at life toward the end of the decade.

I always do the MonsterVision versions of 1-4, with the uncensored movies edited in. 2 is the best one, btw. I think it nails that summer camp feeling better than all but maybe the first one, it’s still got enough of that 70s grit in it which was completely gone by 4, and I will always think that Hillbilly Jason is scarier than the walking action figure they eventually flanderized him into. Plus, rural Connecticut reminds me an awful lot of rural Illinois/Kentucky/Missouri where I grew up.

Fun Fact: the severed Pamela Voorhees head that Ginny finds in Jason’s shack was the only work that Stan Winston’s studio has ever done for the franchise. I always wondered why it looked so particularly good compared to everything else in that movie, and that explains it. The guy who owned the property where the movie was filmed found the head hanging in a net from a tree where the crew had hung it during the wrap party, and he kept it until his death.

Not really since it can only travel by foot. Fly to Thailand, find the most popular prostitution spot for tourist, and fuck the most popular prostitute. It will be chasing whoever fucks the prostitute after you, which will be a tourist who also flew there. That means it'll get all the way to Thailand, have to walk after the new tourist, kill him, then either kill the prostitute or kill whoever they newly fucked. Even if It succeeds killing all of them, it still has to walk all the way back to the other side of the globe.

Finally get my two days off to watch kinos.
What were this week’s meta?
>Hokum
>Obsession

I am honestly drunk with power. lol. Each week, the majority of people keep doing worse and worse and I am part of the small group that keeps doing better and better. The recent gas price hikes which will make everything else even more expensive is giving me a huge lead and sense of well being over every one lol.
Daddy also got me a lawnmower man so I don’t even suffer heat and stress from mowing.
>>
>>220534878
Is this a crossover with the ocean/beach horror chart or did that one...mutate?

Either way, original Piranha should be on there. (ignore the 90's one. it's just a scene for scene reshoot)
Valley Of Death
At least the 1st 4 Jason movies.
Re-reccing The Horror At Party Beach

>>220535059
The 2nd one is
low-budget schlock compared to the 1st. 3rd is much better if still a bit gory.

Oh and for island horror I forgot:
Who Can Kill A child? (there's a reshoot of this too, Come Out And Play)
The Killer Shrews
Killer Mermaid
Black Rock
Blood Tide
The Breed (also the sequel A Breed Apart if you're feeling masochistic)
>>
>>220545212
A Breed Apart was peak garbage. Turned it off within 15 minutes. Wanted to turn it off within first 5 when the girl with so much plastic surgery was giving a monologue.

You can watch the new one simply for that fucking ending. You can also watch the bad and unrelated The Pumpkin Man with the thick shortstock lead. Better yet, watch Carved because it does have its moments.
>>
>>220529877
I liked it. One of the leads I saw in a few youtube videos which was funny to recognize but I liked the movie. Pretty fun time/concept
