it bugs me that they always have to paint Aegon as incompetent, lazy, entitled by having characters directly telling him this and nothing in the narrative to disprove it, whereas Rhaenyra is still painted as well meaning, even if her choices are bad. She is just as entitled and incompetent and lazy as Aegon and she knew she was the heir Viserys named all along, so I find it even less excusable. She is a terrible person, yet the show tells us she is a good person treated unfairly and her poor decisions are always excused somehow by external factors.
