I do NOT fuck men, fuck you.
>>222230091kino, muppet sleepy hollow when?
has anything good come out of korea/taiwan/japan the last couple of years?
>>222230455The biggest one was Exhuma. If you like slowburn, Kyoshi Kurosawa who did Pulse/Cure, then he has two new films Chime and Cloud. Also a kino ghost story that clones his style Missing Child Videotape. And some found footage, Incantation (2022) and The Medium (2021), About a Place in the Kinki Region (2025).
>>222230555I watched all of those except the medium because it's thai but i'll give it a shot. I just put Kinki on my list and found out about Koiji Shiraichi. Is his other stuff good too?I like the korean murder/horror/thrillers too but the last thing that came out was No Other Choice
>>222230650imo Koji is amazing but you have to like his style. He has put out a crazy amount of low budget but consistently fun found footage. Occult and Noroi I'd prioritize. He occasionally does traditional films as well, adaptions and such, which I think are meh in comparison. Kinki was just ok.
>>222230721I didn't even realize it was the same guy that did Occult and Noroi. Those are both kind of a blur to me. I think I watched them blackout drunk.I like that youtube channel that does short movies kinda like his. Fake Documentary Q
got around to watching Pontypool. that was a hell of a ride. would recommend.
>>222231679kind of weak ending but yeah an essential watch. I'd watch a remake, I love radio horror.
Justin Hardy has apparently died. Kind of shitty news since I was quite looking forward to seeing Wrath of the Gods. Makes you wonder what's going to happen to the Wicker Man IP nowhttps://www.aol.co.uk/articles/justin-hardy-dead-beloved-director-200600000.html
>>222219762>Just shake hands and each agree to 50/50 profits or better yet just put the IP under one companyThey would rather kill each other with their bare hands than missing out on profits and revenue.
INCOMING
>>222232166>Alien vs. Predator directed by Paul W.S. Anderson>Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem directed by Greg and Colin Strause (literally fucking who?)It's the year 2026 and we may finally get a good AvP movie because Fede Álvarez has said he is open to directing a third AvP movie with Dan Trachtenberg. And if this doesn't happen, at least we have a bunch of good horror movie directors these days that can possibly do it.
>>222224147crazy, I finished this just an hour before you posted. it's kind of a typical japanese ghost/curse movie, with the slight wrinkle that it ends up a possession movie, and this has imo the best possessed loli I've seen in anything. it's a "classy" horror with a slight edge, the gore is light and there's no sex or nudity to speak of. Bit of an enviro-horror too, since it's all about shutting down a uranium mine. A lot going on, felt like two plots crammed into one movie.
>>222231712know any other similar movies?
>>222232612same director as the Female Convict Scorpion movies. nowhere near as wacky as those.
>>222232734honestly no it's pretty unique. Carpenter's The Fog has some radio centric stuff.
>>222232734oh actually maybe YellowBrickRoad. not a "one location" film, but some similar concepts. also I liked it.
>>222232734Here's a movie with the exact same premise while being much less experimental about it
AM1200 is vaguely radio-ish but probably not similar.
>>222230091
>>222232748Nice
>>222231717https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXlO68qPeD8It looks alright. Definitely looking more promising than The Wicker Tree
>>222232950im going in
>>222232166>>222232596Those movies were meh. I think the biggest problem with them was that they were both set on Earth. Like wtf man.
>>222228129Cute!!
>>222233787I'm betting the rug pull this time is that the kids aren't missing or dead and neither is her husband. Everyone is in on it because the widow is the sacrifice it woule mirror the original. The other two had some grand deception going on so I wouldn't be surprised if it was something along the lines of this this time.
>>222233833nta but interested in what you think as I haven't seen it
>>222235188it satisfies the same itch. i enjoyed it. gets a little preachy for no reason, but is entertaining. have fun

>>222236666Holy checked and that's a damn shame.
This was fucking fantastic except for that CGI fox.
>>222237209I hated it, it was the dreary trauma horror didn't gel with the dog. Would have been kino if it'd been a dog based found footage about ghost.
>>222237209I liked it too, anon.
>>222230721Just finished Kinki. Not very good. More like a sliddeshow of spooky stuff with an incoherent plot. Maybe that guy should do a VHS style series.
>>222237299yeah it was adaption of a book and I think it tied his hands. some anons loved it though.have you seen the Senritsu series? it's on youtube, and in comparison it's great. check out the first episode to get an idea of what most of them are like.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86SJFGwuMf0
>>222237241Honestly (and I know I'm going to get basedjak quoted for this), I thought the whole disease aspect of it was much much scarier than the supernatural parts. Facing your own mortality while still relatively young, and in such a slow and painful way, is extremely dreadful IMO.
>>222237335I like urban legendsThis reminds me of the World of Horror game I'm really bad at.
Decided to try the Killjoy franchise, it's about evil clowns. Starting off a lot more black than I thought, seems they phase out the black cast as the films go on. I thought it had a young Phill Lewis in it (drunk manslaughter, Hooch from Scrubs, etc) but the guy just looks how I expected a young Phill Lewis to look.
>>222237335yo this is just scooby doo
>>222237892>Reehhehehehehe
Putting on Jimmy and Stiggs
Just finished. It's funny! It also drags a lot and has the barest sliver of plot imaginable. Body count is high, Mickey managed to kill nearly all the passengers in one go electrifying the floor of the room they all get evacuated away from him to. The little mulatto kid they keep having to protect was annoying. This isn't a terrible monster slasher! It's at least the level of what Full Moon does nowadays. Kind of reminded me of the first Leprechaun. The scene where he kills the OF sluts practicing their ahegao faces gave me a hard-on
>>222238717
>jumpscares are... LE GOOD
>>222238729This looks awful.
>>222238717Honestly the film would have been much better if it hadn't been an tiny inexplicable man-mouse, and had just been an man-sized inexplicable man-mouse.
>>222230650>the mediumworth watching for the qt alone
>>222238795eh not my kinda thai. there are some cuties out there thoughi'm still up watching this slit mouth woman youtube movie. it's not very good. no reason for it to go over an hour long.
>>222238831she looked better in the movie, its hard to judge from a single image
>>222238831so does he kill people with little penisesor kill them with his little penisor has a little penis and kills people

It has someone from one of the Terrifier movies in it. I would appreciate if someone braved the runtime and came back with a report.

nvm here it ishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgpXHqHs8UA
>>222237831First one wasn't particularly good. Blaxploitation with the audacity to lack significant nudity (you get a boob with nipple and that's it). They have a full plot recap 40 minutes in to pad time, delivered by bootleg Forest Whitaker Magical Negro. It really lags to fill the runtime, and has two fakeout endings. But I know later entries have clussy, so time for the second one I guess.
>>2222391915 minutes in an I wish someone learned how to use the mic's correctly.
>>222239191

>>222230143Speaking of Sleepy Hollow, I found out recently that the actual town of Sleepy Hollow, New York is now majority hispanic. There's no part of the US that can retain its historic culture or peoplehood. Everything has to be replaced by mexicans or africans.

>>222240137So he was betrayed
>>222239883The clown just showed up. Noticeably a different actor. Far worse, not that the original Killjoy was particularly noteworthy.
I loved both Obsession and The Chair. Is Warnings or Milk and Serial worth watching?
Jimmy and Stiggs was a great looking film but it suffered from a lot of repetitive puppet wrestling and struggling and so on.
>>222240357I thought The Chair sucked.Watch Warnings and Enigma.Milk and Serial goes one about twice as long as it needs to so I give that a negative review too.
>>222240218My god that was a fucking boring slog. The ending was just "throw a random jar of stuff on Killyjoy's face and that's all".Killjoy three at least starts with clowngirl titties.
>>222238741couldnt even be bothered finishing it
>>222238741

>>222240573The clussy is not sufficient enough to put up with this film.
>>222240855This has all the quality of "quick put something out so we don't lose the rights" to it. It's cheap, gay, and lame.
>>222241115hot
>>222241137She's barely in the film, and has an annoying voice. It's really not worth putting up with the rest of the film to see her. And from what I understand, they don't bodypaint her in later films, it's all non-nude clowngirl stuff.

>>222230091when I was younger, a friend of mine (who was prone to exaggerating) said there was this movie he saw in canada called "the mole" or "moleman" or something. it was a horror movie about a guy who ripped his victims from the inside out. it sounded gory as hell but ive never been able to find it. i reckon my mate made it up...does anyone know what the hell movie he could have been talking about?
>>222241967>molemanthere's that one with Robert Englund but it's shit
>>222241257Finished. Took a break to make some mexican muffins. Finished watching it. Really cheap and shitty film. They beat the evil clown by laughing at him, basically the stock 'I'm not afraid of you' ending. Don't particularly care to watch the rest of the franchise. The clussy was unworthy of my time.
>joel happens to get struck by a car moving 60 miles in a residential areawas this the trauma entity tying up lose ends?
>>222240762That's the actor who plays Gaal in Foundation, she has a distracting ass. But I'm afraid I shan't be watching Passengers tonight, might watch it some other time will see how I feel .

I've been invited to stay at a friend-of-a-friends house and apparently the guy is a huge horror buff. Guy even works as a video editor. I'm trying to think of some movie recommendations so I can impress the dude without looking like a total pleb. >Malatesta's Carnival of Blood I got this recommendation from this very general and it always blew my mind for the plastic-wrap zero budget visuals it created. Love this movie.>Brian Paulin's Fetus Or any of his movies, but Fetus is the most impressive one to most people>Razorback Killer boar movie really propped up by it's Wake In Fright inspired Aussie psychopath twins more than the titular pig, an 80s talking point. Or Pumpkinhead, which he'll have seen but I really think it has some of the best set design and spot comp of any 80s horror movie. It will also be a perfect scenario for me to be murdered in real life, thereby getting to live my very own horror movie. I've tried impressing women with Malatesta's before and holy shit do none of them give a fuck. This guy might like it though.
>>222243094There's always Don't Go In The House
>just randomly googling lair of the white worm>realize it has both hugh grand and peter capaldi in itwtf
>>222243915That movie is a lot of fun, I do recommend it.
if the decided to make a live action diablo film, how bad do you think it will be?
>>222241967Dunno, but it sounds interesting. I saw pic rel recently and it involves people getting their insides removed, but is obviously completely different. If you happen to find your movie, do share.
I watched Whistle last night and it was a solid 1/5.Which horror film should I watch tonight? I can only think of Backrooms and Nightborn. But I fear both of them are mid as fuck and I don't want to waste a nice Sunday evening.
>>222245602Leaving D.C.
>>222245602I watched Whistle a few months back and I would give it a 5/10. A little cheap, but well done for its budget. Also those Aztec death whistles were featured on "The UnXplained" two weeks back, and they actually blew one of those whistles. Sounds like the wind in older horror movies. The theory in the show was they were blown en masse by an army to creep the enemies out.
>>222245602> lead actress isn't even attractive and gives mid performance> is also a nepo babyno surprise there. at least the yellowjackets girl is cute
Are the Evil Dead Trap movies worth watching?
So was Soulm8te better than Megan 2?
>>222246337No, but they're different genres.
>>222246337>yet another "men who buy female robots are creepy predators" flickCringe
>>222246502You clearly didn't watch the movie
>>222246544Should I? Is there nudity?
>>222246856I didn't like it. It's an underwhelming 5/10. Yes, there are 2 scenes of tits.
>>222246337I wasn't expecting much from this but I was pleasantly surprised, decent flick.
you could tell they were just having fun with this one when compared with the first
>>222246337demon seed>ex machina>964 pinocchio>the trouble with being born>soulm8te>companion>Mthreegan>subservience>black eyed susan
>>222247343same>>222246337After watching Soulm8te I've decided to watch some other movie with the main actress. For some reason I thought she's the same person as the actress from You(the cuck serial killer tv show). Turns out those are two different people. I've also learned that the actress from You is the same actress with the flabby cellulite ridden ass from Forbidden Fruits.Anyways, i've decided on watching Forgive Us All. Post-apocalyptic zombie Western sounds like an interesting idea, but unfortunately the movie is boring with too much pointless drama. And almost no zombies.
Having a sexy female robot utterly obsessed with you is literally the male fantasy though, why does hollywood keep trying to make it bad
>>222232734the vast of night, luz (2018), the void (2016), in the mouth of madness, after hours (1985)i think these will suit you well. eyes wide shut also fits the bill and ninth gate, but we recommend those a lot. each of these is different from the other, but the share a common mood.

>>222245602>>222245759>>222252110Mesoamerican history anon here, to be clear "Aztec death whistles" aren't a real thing, it's mostly online viral misinformationThere are some ceramic Aztec whistles that are shaped like skulls, but there's basically no evidence they were used in battle (We know that conch shell trumpets and drums were used, and armies would yell, hoot etc, but there's no sources that discuss whistles being used warfare. Diaz mentions soldiers "whistling" but he seems to mean vocal whistles rather then using whistle devices, though it is admittedly a bit ambiguous), nor is there really any evidence they were meant to sound like human screaming (no sources mention this, and the only research that brings that idea up is a paper that was specifically evaluating the online rumors/claims around the whistles, and the results of that paper seemed inconclusive at best, though I'm not an acoustics or audio person so I admittedly have a hard time following what it's actually saying)If it were 2008, it's the exact sort of thing that snopes.com would be debunking
>>222254223
>>222253047I bought this on dvd when it first came out because it has Jennifer Sky in it. It's been over a decade since I've watched it though, so I really don't remember if it's good. >>222254255Hello, history anon! "The UnXplained" is not a serious TV show, it runs on the History Channel, which tells you everything. The show covers eerie items like medieval records of werewolves, or the dancing plague of Strassburg (which was a real thing), or the suicide forest Aokigahara below Mt. Fuji. Those death whistles were featured because they're often skull-shaped, because when you blow them they sound like the wind whisteling through the cracked windows of a spooky haunted house, and because we don't know why those whistles were made or what they were used to, so the show could speculate. The whistles sounding like the cry of the Banshee and summoning death was a nice idea for a little indie horror movie. "Whistle" wasn't really good, but not too bad for its budget either.

Made it 35 minutes into Undertone and gave up. Why does everything have to be traumaslop? Horror doesn't need to be mommy/motherhood issues all the time. Give me a god damned slasher with a decent budget, fat big naturals, and gruesome kills.
boring

>>222263447I stumbled on her review of Primate. She was surprised that a horror film would have gore in it then complained that the chimp wasn't completely CGI and that they must not have been able to afford CGI.
>>222272885Just from that alone, I bet her favorite horror movie is The Conjuring.
https://x.com/BDisgusting/status/2084287972963242082Good news is we're getting another VHS movie this year, but I'm nervous about it apparently being music heavy. Definitely not expecting it to be better than VHS Halloween; also found it weird that they announced the SCP VHS film for 2027 before this.

>>222276603Damn, guess I should start liking coffee.
>>222276536I still love Deadstream but this looks like something completely unrelated, like the smaller budget equivalent of VHS. Speaking of which it's weird that the Deadstream guys haven't done anything since their short for VHS '99, it was the only great short in that film so you'd think they'd be getting more work in the indie scene.

>>222276289This is a great documentary. But desu their music kind of sucks. They have like 2 songs that are listenable. And if this is a new movie, it's probably nu-Gwar with the new lead singer.
>>222277992gwar isn't about the music, it's about the experience
>>222278360Yeah, I saw them live 3 or 4 times before Dave died. But as you know from the documentary, the only original member at this point is the drummer. From the videos I've seen, their current stage show isn't even as good any more. I'm kind of just done with them at this point. and their actual music was never really good.

>>222278870sounds like a dean koontz book
>>222278870Ew. They tried so hard to push this guy as some rich suave playboy. Lmao.
I saw "Stir of Echoes" (1999). It was OK. It was written by Richard Matheson, so it had a proper script done by somebody who knows how to write a good script. Real actors, sets, a good director, professional camera work and editing, all you could ask for in a movie. It's the story of a murder and it's horror as a ghost appears and kind of leads Kevin Bacon to investigate where the body's buried and how the victim died. No sexploitation, no gore, no gross-out horror. But it was made in a time when not everything had to have a diverse cast and when people still shot on film, so the colors are nice and not all dead and gray.7/10.
>>222279123>They tried so hard to push this guy as some rich suave playboy.I remember his debut. He was a creep in "Death Wish", he was the guy who raped and murdered Charles Bronson's wife and daughter and drove him to become a vigilante.

>>222279123For the longest time, I thought he was gay. He did that Disney+ show where he went to Reebok or Nike or one of those shoe companies and demonstrated some high tech pressure pad thing they use to measure where footfalls hit the hardest when someone is running, and he did the most swishy, mincing, faggy run that I’ve ever seen. I was shocked to find out that he’s always been somewhat infamous as a bit of a pussy hound.

im watching this one Tubishit movie called Don't Peek and its like one of those things where its like and influencer couple and something happens to them and the movie is basically their "content" so, you know it's made by some dipshit, which I expected. but what actually offends me is the premise of this movie is that the influencer couple is moving into a new house. they say they bought it in an "estate sale." they go on to explain that this is the reason that the house is already fully furnished. the actual retard who made this movie thinks "estate sale" means you buy an estate which is just a fancy synonym for house. he couldn't even be bothered to look up what it meant and that in an estate sale is when you try to liquidate all of the personal belongings INSIDE a house so its actually the LITERAL opposite of what he put in his stupid gay movie.

I showed Cure (1997) to my sister but she didn't get it. She didn't like it. I was so exited to show the film to someone and talk about it but now I feel silly.Second time I see it and it almost as tense as the first one, kept noticing more stuff with the composition and blocking of the shots. The editing is really incredible
