He never swore an oath, but he knows hes failing in his duty and i want to root for him and want him to succeed so badly. Maybe his failing will be a lesson to others. Maybe this hand or foot can serve the realm some day. I dont know. But by God I want to see him succeed against all odds so badly

>>222580867I don't agree. We dont know which plot points he told them and which were filled in. The books and tv show have diverged so much. I think everyone agrees Dany was always going to go Mad. And its the execution that was the problem. Brann's character ends when he leaves Tyrion in his trial and doesnt need to continue the story. People hate Jaime going back to Cersei but I have the minority opinion that its appropriate for his character. He did not have a loving family growing up. Cersei was a romantic partner that made him feel loved, a member of his family that loved him, a victim of the same abuse he suffered, and most importantly, he will tell himself that he can save her even though he knows he cant. Hell try anyway. He never cared about his own life or well being deep down. Bran becoming king in my opinion is down to poor execution and pacing. Its retarded in the show, but if paced properly serves as a "happy ending" for an otherwise extremely brutal and gritty story. The only part that is fundamentally bad imo is sansa and the night king. I doubt grrm gave them that as a plot point. The night king isnt even in the books. It reeks of modern writing - girl power, subverse expectations, fan favorite character needs something to do.
