>>222898531>starring Matt Groening's nieceNeat.
>>222898436TrueI still gotta watch her Snow White movie. I found a DVD-R of it that somebody was seeding last year. I don't think you can stream it anywhere. But I could be mistaken.
>>222898723hah, damn it's true. I remember her being highly erotic in it.I was browsing to see what she was up to and and turns out she was nominated for a canadian screen actors award alongside... no... no it can't be...
>>222898712You don't lock your door?
>>222896560coincidentally, I just put on Death Kappa
>>222898771Same here. I still have her Snow White on my watchlist after discussing it on /hor/ last year along with another Diane Rigg film (Theatre of Blood).>>222898783>it's real
>>222899011>Death KappaInteresting, post thoughts afterwards
>>222899156Diana Rigg was Emma Peel of The Avengers. Not horror, but highly recommended viewing if you like fun and the eccentric. I mean of course the 1960s British TV series "The Avengers" and not some American comic book heroes.
>>222899011>>222899413>the Kappa looks and acts a bit like Danny DeVito>befriends an idol>there are kaiju fights and, more importantly, kaiju volleyball>the bad guy is so low-effort and stiff that he looks like a cheap 90s dinosaur figure>japanese fishmen try to conquer America and detonate a nuke>the American army is comprised entirely of miniature models (you can even see the wires lol)>Hideaki Anno is in itthere is a charm to how cheap and unpretentious this shit ishttps://tubitv.com/movies/610028

For some reason a ton of biographical miniseries and TV movies about killers came out in the 80s and 90s, but very few ever made it to DVD, let alone HD
Just finished. Back from my three day vacation and here's what I watched:I'm a millennial and a sucker for the "le childhood thing is... evil!" stuff all the rest of you probably hate. Problem is it's fucking impossible to get right. Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is still probably the best attempt at it. This one is a direct parody of Barney and it's another only partially successful attempt. They capture the vibe of the show and the child actors nail the overemotive acting style of Barney's kids. Problem is the script is a mess. They had no idea what to do with the concept. Keegan Michael Key does such a good job copying the original guy's voice that I thought they might've already gotten him. Patton Oswalt is here and I hate that motherfucker, he seems to leech onto everything I think looks interesting. Cristin Milotti gets put in a kids show style nurse uniform that was driving me crazy. I have a sneaking suspicion it's a TDS movie, Buddy is orange with unkempt blonde hair and is hypersensitive to criticism, lmao.also I went to see Coyote vs. Acme and it was surprisingly good
if you know you know
>>222901315I guess this is a prequel to Train to Busan? Same director and it's the story of where the zombies came from. It's super stupid, two hours long, and boring as hell. It's the typical "run hide fight" model of zombie movie and adds nothing new.
>>222901351oh yeah, I think Colony has been on digital for awhile already but I saw it in the theater. This I finally watched on my computer. I've known about it for a decade but I nice blue collar dude I work with recommended it so I pulled the trigger. The bear's in like 10 minutes of the movie. The rest of it is relationship drama about a couple of douchebags camping. Them and the girls from Fall would probably get along great, what a gaggle of imbeciles. The one real bear attack in the movie is great, the practical effects are impressive and the character gets super messed up. But it does not justify sitting through the rest of the movie, imo.
>>222898572this is one of the best looking practical horror effects I think I've ever seen
>>222901351I thought it was fine, but that ending zinger pissed me off
>>222898531>vertical packaging>cardboard scuffs>discThat's a new one for me
last day of august
>>222902025Not much of a horror film, but still one of my favourites I rewatch from time to time. Good music, too, all written by the little guy who plays Swan in the movie.
>>222901342Did you get to play the game?
>>222902025>>222902197How long has it been since /hor/ had a Phantom edition?
>>222898452>>222898484Extremely based. It's a shame rape revenge kino doesn't really get made any more. You'd think it would appeal to the woke crowd.
>>222902765the timing on this guy
>>222902671I just went through my screenshots and realized I watched "Phantom of the Paradise" last Halloween. It isn't really autumn themed, but I enjoyed it all the same.

Juliette Lewis is quite disgusting
>>222904638
>>222904871what the helly
Has anyone managed to see it yet?
Is it any good? The cast looks like a bunch of awkwardly diverse zoomers
>>222901351Cope. It was a fantastic movie. Better than what the majority of Hollywood has made recently.
>>222901351>>222901393Probably not enough western roastoid girlboss characters or blacks for him. Seeing an asian female actually act female instead of like a man in his movie triggered him.
>>222905395it's not great, but I liked how hopeless everything felt the whole time
>>222905542Felt pretty comfy to me desu
>>222905560can't relate
>>222905638Probably a loser zoomer then
for me, it's Nukie
>>222905523This. Seeing a homogeneous movie without blacks or annoying masculine acting female characters triggered him.
>>222903022I watched this one last night. A middling attempt that doesn't even have the guts to show the rape on camera. Also set in the 80s but that doesn't actually matter to the plot much and it doesn't feel like it takes place in the 80s, except I guess conveniently none of the victims has a cell phone to call for help. All in all I wish I could get my hour and a half back.
>>222906191Pussied out

I really really liked “Buddy”. Not the highest on the scare factor but a really engaging concept that they hard committed to. A Twilight Zone tale in the best way.
>>222906882You put way more thought into it than I did. I had no idea what it was about.>start up Shudder>see new movie>press play>hour and a half goes by>well that suckedSimple as. Don't know what anon you've been having these conversations with about getting baited but it wasn't me.
Go home. You won't find a better horror movie.
>>222907045Well it ain't coming to my theater so I hope it hurries up and hits VOD by October
>>222907126Female director. You got baited.
>>222901393this movie got gender swapped becayse the story its based off of had the male rowboat his dead gf bac to civilizationof course the movie in turn made the woman out to be a girlboss and the husband is the reason they get lost and stuck with a bear
>>222907366I hate women so much
>>222907131Are you brave enough to watch the sequel?
>>222907384it takes a special kind of evil to see a IRL story of a couple getting attacked by a bear, and the husband valiantly try to save his wife, and turn it into a "stupig smug man throws away their phones and maps, ignores bear tracks and is mean to his wife so the bear mauls him to death while the stronk woman fights off the beand and rowboats herself back to safety"
Bad Moon was a solid werewolf movie. Loved the effects and it was fun to see Paré since I’m a big Streets of Fire enjoyer. Good characterization of the family and one of the better trained animal performances I’ve seen.
the living deadand the dying livingare all the same
>>222907544Technically speaking, we're all dying slowly
>>222898452>31 days until Octob-- ACK
>>222907454Well, modern women are pathetic loser creatures
>>222907544
*gives you nightmares as a child*
>>222907454Modern females have an overinflated ego but as long as men exist, they will be the lesser of the two. So with this ego and all the dei girlboss woke nonsense, their ego is super inflated but reality shows them as inferior and they hate it. So they will lash out and cope and seethe. The farther they are from being submissive obedient feminine creatures, the bigger losers they become. They are digging their own grave. Modern females are pathetic and you should read what they say and think online.
>>222907631BasedThe music that they constantly play says nothing to me about my life
>>222907967What drives someone to waste their time writing this stuff?
>>222907504No lies detected. Colors, sounds, vfx and yes that dog was so damn good. GOOD BOY THOR
>>222908009What makes this happen?>>222907454
I watched "The Whisper Man" (2026). Some of you may say "that's not a horror movie", and I see your point. It did however have a ghost and two serial killers in it, as well as some dead bodys and some skeletons. Very good cinematography, acting, sets and locations. The story was decent, too. But after you've seen "The Silence of the Lambs", you'll be able to predict what'll happen when Michelle Monaghan rings that doorbell near the end. Anyway, I found it thrilling and entertaining, 7/10 from me.

>>222909023>Carol J CloverNo thanks
>>222901351It was fine. I didn't really feel like it brought much to the table cinematically, for all that the premise was slightly more novel than than average zombie slop. And after a while the plot became tedious. And the acting is all very k*rean.
conan of horror?
>>222905395I liked it. It doesn't break much new ground but it has a point and it articulates it pretty well. The characters are all intentional and not unlikeable.
Might be the best body ive ever seen in a horror movie
>>222909139Fulcis Conquest
>>222908009The fact that they deliberately switched the genders of the characters around from the real story it's based on in order to have the woman play the more heroic admirable role, please follow the reply chain if you want to comment
What are your thoughts on the House of the Dead movies? Are you looking forward to Anderson's reboot?
>>222909251I’ve exclusively heard how terrible they are. I adore the arcade games (series is in my top 10) but haven’t checked these out.
>>222909077Lmao. It was better than anything from Hollywood this year.
>>222909184Nice tits anyway.
>>222901351Train to Busan was fantastic, but I never bothered with any of the other stuff because I heard it wasn’t really able to catch that lightning in a bottle again. That said, I’ve got kind of a high tolerance for shitty zombie movies, so I’ll probably give them a go at some point.

A frat prank went wrong back in the 60s resulting in a massacre, and at the start of the 90s the sons of one of the guys involved do another prank involving snapping a photo of the killer who's locked in an insane asylum but accidentally let him out. He teleports around with a little hand pickaxe slashing everybody with little oneliners that start with "no": "No peace", "No TV", "No sex", "No parking", etc. Lots of cute girls and a good amount of tits in the middle third. Watched it because I saw Davin McGavin (top billed) and Sam Rockwell were in it but combined they've got less than five minutes of screentime. They never figure out who the main character is and it's a messily shaped story in general. Has a lousy custom punk end credits song about the bad guy by The Slush Puppies
>>222918503one of the only kinda neat moments in it
>>222918516kinda cute sneakily stacked lady cop
>>222912686There's no such thing as bad Evil Dead movie.
>>222916514>>222916553>creepy smileIt's called the uncanny valley effect which makes us humans feel uncomfortable. It's not as ridiculous as you're making it out plus I'm sure she's going to do more than just smile creepily the entire runtime.

>>222918781my fantasy is to get simultaneously sexually assaulted by a female cop, clown, and nurse :)
Redditors seem to be seething about Ti Wests Ebenezer because he said something about humanizing his view kek. More importantly,>I’ve always thought no one’s really made the movie version where the ghosts are a little bit spooky. So I'm hoping it's good
>>222919290I assumed they were angry purely because of Depp
not falling for this psyop

>>222909913Stop shilling your shit movie.
>>222919290Christmas Yet To Come's always been scary, esp. in the George C. Scott version. Marley too.The FX miniseries tried to make things a bit darker but failed in taking too many liberties.
>>222909023I really would like for someone to do an unabashed chudout horror flick where the killer is a crazy gross tranny. We know theyre crazy and gross, most of them know that, too, and most normal people are uncomfortable with the entire thing but will bend over backwards to seem like a "good guy". Easily exploitable modern fear, and half the freak and freak supporters would probably squint hard enough to make it actually very feminist and empowering
Hello, working class. Do you guys watch horror movies in the day time?
>>222919953I try not to
>>222919686Wish Russell Crowe would make more horror kinos, but apparently he doesn't really like the genre because he says he gets too scared usually. He admitted it on the press junket for the movie so it's a bit curious why he said yes to do two of them basically back-to-back.
>>222919953Yeah all the time

The 60s The Haunting is so good wtf why do people like mike flanagan
>>222918503Thanks for the review anon. Sounds like it's worth a watch anyhow.>>222919290>I’ve always thought no one’s really made the movie version where the ghosts are a little bit spooky. That's not even true
You best be ready for your daily horror movie watches in October, if you have not started already for September.
>>222920251I'm /hor/ year round, but October is horror only except for new theatrical releases. I'll get at *least* one movie in per day. If I really get myself focused I can get to 100. I'll probably aim for that this year because post-October I'm planning on drastically cutting back my movie watching to do more productive stuff.
>>222904871This may be the movie that gave me a glory hole fetish. Or maybe Porky's.
>>222920903>FruitHeadGushers didn't have to go so hard on that one. I wish more companies made body horror shorts based on their own product/lore.
>>222901315No thread about this movie so i guess ill ask herewhat was that place she went to at the end?, was buddy created? And for what purpose? What were they trying to explore?

It looks like Onslaught is hinting that the soldiers belong to the same test project that programmed the guy from The Guest
>>222921530It's clearly some sort of big conspiracy/project.It's show that there are three Buddy type creatures on a mural on the wall. Also the project has been going on for decades, as we see headshots on the hallway walls of different hosts going chronologically backwards to cowboys and I think clowns in B&W (and Clint Howard & the ventriloquist dummy allude to that as well. There are at least three soundstages, one for each Buddy, as we see three Mr. Mailboxes each marked "Stage 1", "Stage 2", etc. There was a room that went by too quick for me to really make out where it looked like they might have had kids hooked up to brain scanning devices. I don't buy that Casper Kelly actually knows what any of this means, he was just adding some Backrooms style flavor to tantalize us with.
>>222901004>Hi there, I'm here with your Doorda- OH MY GOD, I CAN SEE YOUR DICK, THIS IS RAPE!!!
>>222920238>That's not even trueyeah it's fucking absurd lol. Marley's ghost, the Ghost of Christmas Present unveiling Ignorance and Want, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come are all unforgettably frightening in the 1984 version. I don't expect someone adapting it to have to watch all 100 previous adaptations but that's a very well known film
