It's interesting because she was in the Ice Nine Kills music video for the Terrifier song they did, which seemed like a show of solidarity while the other girl from Terrifier 1 was so psychologically raped by her appearance in the first movie she had to make a weird meta movie where she plays the final girl from a movie about an evil clown and has to reclaim her power
But then the blonde randomly decided she needed to sue

I like him in 1 best because he's literally just a incel maniac who basically does his own mass-killing and then shoots himself like most of those people do. I dont think she ever intended the lawsuit to go public, its really just a pay-dispute deal and people are running with it like the creators are evil incarnate who raped her

and yeah, the actress for Tara doing that movie where she literally kills Terrifier fans is really stupid. why even agree to star in the movie if you are gonna be mad about it? I think she was just mad that Damien made her look attractive when she deliberately tries to be ugly IRL

Terrifier actually has some unique little motifs and direction. Theres thought put into the movies despite appearances.

Compare that to "Stream", Micheal and Jason Leavy's slasher. its not good, not at all, yet it has nearly the exact same crew as Terrifier, except Damien is not directing and only did some of the effects. It shows.
Trust me, once you see Stream, you'll realize atleast Terrifier has identity despite being ameuterish at times (mainly 1)

Horror = feeling of fear, dread, shock or terror. It happens when something seems frightening, threatening or deeply disturbing.
Gore = elicits feeling of revulsion or sickness. It happens when something seems revolting, unpleasant or repulsive.
You are brown.

>>224014579

>Horror is an intense, painful emotion of fear, dread, shock, or disgust. It also refers to something that causes these feelings or a creative genre focused on frightening or disturbing audiences.
Gore is disgusting, disturbing, and shocking. Thus, is horror.
>>
Once again, a disingenuous argument from a loser.
If you don't like Terrifier, that's great.

Watching the unrated director's cut of Laid to Rest. This movie is brutal but kinda feels like "Terrifier Lite". Very similar vibes, but the slasher himself doesn't have the comedic wit of Art the Clown. Still would highly recommend.

blood is not necessarily the same as gore. remember esrb ratings? "blood AND gore"

some people can handle the blood of halloween 1978 or texas chainsaw 1974.

Some people wanna see something more extreme, like Saw or Terrifier, thats cool too. neither party is inferior, everyone has different taste

it's just the same old response hollywood always does when there's a lawsuit
did the same thing with the blade 3 dispute between wesley snipes and the other producers and the director
his dispute was that because he was one of the producers of the film and the titular character the movie should be about him and any changes to that should be brought up with him and so he threw a lawsuit against them when they for some reason started phasing him out in the third film
their response to it was to label him as difficult to work with in every interview and commentary about the film and came up with the lie behind the now infamous scene where he didn't open up his eyes for the final scene, which happened because they out of the blue decided to change the ending and instead of getting him back on stage for a reshoot they cgi'd them opening

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

No. But you certainly latched onto it.

I've got to say, most horror movies should not be full length films and would be better stories if they were short films instead of being something that only has enough content for a short film padded out to be feature length so they can be in theaters or advertised to a level only feature length films get.
You all know this to be true.

How many fake out jumpscares or it was just a dream scenes do you need before you start to feel cheated?
You think that adds to the movie? If it's not actually consequential to the events of the movie it could be cut and is clearly just padding, or someone going, "wouldn't it be cool or really scary if?" when the story does not call for it.
My stance comes from the complete opposite opinion, I don't like seeing stories made to conform to a set timeframe and I think it creates a better paced, higher quality, tighter story if fluff like that is cut.

>>224015391
Asking ad hominem questions doesn't legitimize your point.
I like characters more than anything else. For the same reason I prefer a full length horror novel over a short story, I want to care about the characters so that if bad things happen to them, or they escape from the danger, I'm more interested.
>>
>>224015320
I agree, there's a reason why most celebrated horror literature are short stories or short novels.
>>
>>224015420

it's about a really greasy gross unpleasant guy and shot in uncomfortable realistic cheap DV, and it blurs the line between reality and fiction in a pretty effective way. the main character's performance is extremely off-putting, but if you can deal with that it's a pretty unique movie.

Chuck just used an urban legend, not like he invented the idea. Also it actually happened to a small girl recently. She almost died. In retrospect, maybe it had actually happened in the past thus sparking said supposed urban legend, even if not documented in a local newspaper along the way.

>>224015504
It's especially grim because the twist isn't just a gotcha. All of the early scenes have 0 tension because you just know that there are no stakes to them.

Just watched Brain Damage.
Kinda fucked up that both this and Basket Case feature brother cuckholding.
The scene where Brian has the nightmare of pulling his own brains out of his ear had me squirming. It was a great effect until after his ear popped off and then it switches to a cheap looking shot of blood flooding out.
Overall pretty good. I was worried it might be lackluster since I didn't much care for the Basket Case sequels, and this was made around the same time. I guess I'll give Frankenhooker a go pretty soon.

So I watched four movies which shared the idea of a killer moving between bodies and being hard to catch. There's more, but I focussed on movies that had theatrical releases and known actors.

<1> "The Thing" (1982) with Kurt Russell
<2> "The Hidden" (1987) with Kyle MacLachlan
<3> "The First Power" (1990) with Lou Diamond Philips
<4> "Fallen" (1998) with Denzel Washington

In <1> and <2> the entity is an alien, in <3> and <4> it's a spirit. "The Thing" is total chaos with maximal death, distruction and disgust for its runtime. "The Hidden" is the most straighforward of the four: The alien just wants to inhabit human bodies, rob money, fast cars, wants to score women and kills whoever gets in its way. It's motivation is clear and understandable. The hero knows what he's doing and follows a plan. "The First Power" on the other hand doesn't know what it's doing or going for except for cashing in on the satanic panic at the time. A cop and a psychic follow murders without having a plan or knowing what they're doing. And in the end, salvation comes in form of a holy crucifix prison shiv that they then decide NOT to use just so there can be a final 10 minute fight scene? This is the worst entry of the four. "Fallen" is a very 90s movie - fast cuts, sound not matching the picture, meant to get on your nerves at times.

Of the four, only <2> and <4> seem to have rules for how the entity can move. Physically in <2>, to people or animals in close proximity in <4>. The motivation of the aliens in <1> and <2> is understandable, in <3> and <4> it is not. Why toy around with one cop if you're an ancient spirit/demon that is hundreds of years old? For the horror aspect, I recommend <4>, or <1> if you're thing is goo and gore.
>>
>>224016016
I like fallen. the ending kinda pissed me off but i guess humans can't really know all the rules demons play by
>>
>>224016030
