The closing ceremony happens, but the vice-president has to do the speech because Kurumi ran off.Get a double page spread of the girls lighting sparklers. There's some unknown girl who looks a bit punkish. It doesn't show her face. Maybe someone from Naoi's past?Kokoro gets walked home by T-Shirt girl. Turns out she was one of the girls in the flashback in chapter 7, so she's also a childhood friend of Kokoro and Kurumi. Turns out her name's Akane Mori. Seems like she'll spend more time with Kokoro over the summer.It cuts to Kurumi and Naoi who are eating at McDonald's. Kurumi talks about going to cram school, going home etc. which leads Naoi to question if she's getting ditched again. They then go to Kurumi's house together. Kurumi's mom is missing, so she calls her grandmother. Kurumi plays it cool to keep from worrying her grandma. Kurumi breaks down and tells Naoi about her past. See a flashback of her parents arguing, then her dad's gone. Apparently, her mother thinks she made a mistake in her past (getting married maybe and not being successful herself???) so she forces Kurumi to become a sucessful woman in the future. Kurumi cries and Naoi hugs her, but Naoi's thinking how happy she is that Kurumi's like her now.They leave the house and walk around together. Naoi mentions her part-time job. Then asks Kurumi on a date so that they can stay out late together, which flusters Kurumi. It cuts to the phone at Kurumi's house which is Kurumi's teacher wanting to set up a parent-teacher conference. Isanuma and possibly her parents will also be there.End chapter.Think we'll see Isanuma's parents?

Funnily enough, it wasn't done on purpose at first. Naoi just so happened to be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of Kurumi's mother's actions.
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about the latest ZenKowa chapter and volume. Going back and changing chapter 7 to add a random classmate to their backstory and then have that girl talk like she's known both Kokoro and Kurumi for years just felt so off. It really feels like parts of the story are being made up as it goes along and it's very noticeable.As for the story overall, I think Kuwabara might pull a reversal of expectations and have Naoi get in over her head with Kurumi, who is more mentally unwell than Naoi realizes. She's playing with fire without realizing it. Only the reader realizes Kurumi has had both suicidal and homicidal thoughts during the story. Isanuma showing back up at the meeting with the teacher and Kurumi is likely to go very poorly. Alternatively, Kurumi pisses off Isanuma again and Isanuma decides to target Naoi instead of Kurumi. Considering her accusations against Kurumi have been seducing her crush, I don't see what Isanuma would consider payback for that turning out well for anyone involved. I think it would be something on a "spike Naoi's drink when she's not looking at her part-time job and then take advantage of her" tier.

ZenKowa is just inconsistent on details. Their homeroom teacher's name changed from Horie in chapter 1 to Hotta in chapter 11.
