Time for another Heaven Burns Thread, where we managed to survive 1000 days and keep kicking! The Isuzu event came along to bring us more Ohshima goodness, but the yuri was mostly limited to side-couples. But the implications for the "learn the military's secrets" group are very important.Another RukaYukki unison style doubles down on the main couple yuri for the 1000 Day celebration. Let's hope for the best on the memory episode. The next event is on the horizon already, but what we really look forward to is more info on 5.2.
The new game icon.
Isuzu knows all the gay little secrets.
>>4307824Ghostbin seems to have died permanently, so I had to switch the content order guide paste to PrivateBin which will only be up fort 1 month. With the pace of these threads we get a new one every month anyway, but I would love alternatives.I updated all memory episodes of course.
Something I saw on the CN side, I am not datamining so I cannot confirm how legit it is. Apparently in this update they added files/strings forNew style class called Admiral(??? Maybe for Tama? No idea)New game mode called/code named(?) "Duel"Another new game mode called/code named(?) "Wave"It seems like the game will have proper skill description windows in the future, so you don't have to check datamine sites just to know what the skill actually does
Say what you want about the Unison flip, this art is AMAZING. Even gayer than the Ruke version.
>>4307840The CN server is way behind though. Or did they datamine the JP version?
>>4307834Try rentry.org or maybe google documents.
>>4307841>Zero sexualization. You can't even see their thighs despite the shorts.>Yukki is looking at Ruka and not at us unlike Ruka and Yuina in the last two unisons. Similarly, Ruka's expression is only visible to Yukki.>Mostly preserves their canon dynamic while also offering yuri fanservice in an AU.See, this is what I really wanted from unisons so I can't whine too much.
>>4307844I dont like google docs for many reasons, but I will be looking into Rentry. Thanks.
>>4307843JP, of course. I'm saying that I can't confirm how legit it is, but the dataminer himself is legit, I just have no way to check it myself. They also said the new modes will have boards, cards, decks and stuff, so maybe it's an extension/evolution of Arts Battle and not a completely new thing.
>>4307841>>4307846I'm not even a big RukaYukki fan and I squealed looking at this art. If that had been the original unison's it would have been even more impactful.
>>4307840I assume "admiral" is just a mistranslation and this is going to be "Instructor".By skill description you mean like on hbr.quest with actual number values and detailed data?>>4307848Well duel and wave mode combined with deck and boards makes it seems like they will finally turn Arts Battle into a proper card game mode. Or at least have that as an option. If they actually add a PvP component I will laugh, because that's nuts for some side-mode. Not to mention the effort it would take to make viable decks with so few characters.
>>4307852He didn't elaborate, it's just a slide at the end of this video, you can google lense it if you want.https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1s22uYxE34It also has the unison ult animation if you want to spoil yourself.
>>4307853The update stream is right around the corner, so I don't need to looki it up that urgently.
>>4307854Sure, it's this slide then. 4chan won't let me upload files right now or for some reason, so here's a linkhttps://litter.catbox.moe/9a7tva.jpg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NsUbQTGuIkStream about to start.
>>4307869Operation Perseus Part 2 looking good. Layered town like environment, new remixes. Cool.
>aoi ka>aoi kuru deshou>aoi aoi aoiChatters are in for a rude awakening.
>>4307883They were talking about the blue rock anon.
>>4307887It was before the segment started, I was just distracted to post it right away.
I gotta say, they really keep improving the battle UI. It's all gradual, but it's so much better than it used to be. Seeing how many turns a enemy is down is really nice. In the heat of battle with OD and DP breaks it can be a bit confusing whether you have 1 or 2 free turns.
That ult animation is really cool though. They sold this style pretty well with the romantic pre-amble.
Don't they understand that people consider this to be a MeguTama song, even if Maeda didn't intend it that way?
>>4307894It literally plays in 4.2 and in Interlude 2, which are MeguTama centric points, so yeah that's what you would expect. No idea what song MeguTama would get then... Don't be Afraid? Or maybe Dear R. Heinlein?
Damn, the ult's debuff even has a unique icon.
He tries so hard to sell these gimmick interactions, and then Irene just insta claps this by exisitng.
>>4307899Don't be jelly just because the Phantom Thief wins again. She steals the win.
Whoa... did I see that right? 100 free rolls??
10% to get 10k quartz….I get this is cooler but they should’ve just given everyone an extra 1k instead. Unless I win of course.
Info about 5.2 in November. I thought we were getting something, but it was an announcement of an announcement.
>>4307906Hmm... 1 month is not impossible, but usually they give the first teaser several months ahead of time.I guess this proves the chapter wont be out in December. Sigh.
>>4307907I don't know, I feel like December is actually possible because of this announcement. If they were silent about it today, it would be 100% over, but now I can see it happening.
>>4307911But it would be very weird. Consider that they usually give you a teaser and then a trailer. The trailer comes out really close to the chapter release, which could be in November, but if they don't even have a teaser right now, how likely is that gonna be? There is no way they are so far behind they can't even make a 30 second teaser...
>>4307840Well if this was real then it certainly will not be implemented for a while. Not even a hint of any of this in the information stream.
>>4307912Maybe it's copium, but them doing a teaser in November and then an actual announcement stream in December doesn't sound too crazy to me. They started doing teasers in the first place because the chapters were getting delayed. If they were actually on time, they wouldn't need a early teasers like that.
>>4307914I mean 新バトルコンテンツ is right there on the road map. Having two different modes seems weird, it's likely they're just both part of the same mode. A new class would feel really out of place for standard battles, but it's possible they made a unique class for some mechanic in the new game mode.
>>4307921Eh, that's flimsy. They might as well be talking about adding more to Arts Battle in a conventional way. But we will see.
>>4307921I actually predicted a long time ago that they would make special snowflake classes for some characters. I think my guess was ninja class for Adel and Mari and savior for Megumi. The classes are such a meme in this game with attackers that buff, breakers that debuff, debuffers that break, defenders that attack, so getting more labels for flavor and unique presentation is fine. It's just that Admiral feels too out of left field, like it's a code name or they're reusing the class system for something rather than a real class.
Halloween cosplay.
>>4307926It might be a leader class, similar to how some saga games or Genius of Sappheiros allows you to make one char a "leader" that gives your party a leader skill and some general buff(s).Just due to it being a gacha, it'd be dedicated styles for that. Some gacha also have this like Counterside's operator system. And in a way the bike thing of conquest could be the base for it. You already have the menu, so may as well build up on it.
>>4307824I know when you are there every week doing daylies and burning through content like a ravenous swarm of crickets it may not seem that way, but for any gacha to reach 1000 days is a big deal. Making it to nearly 3 years is not easy in this absurdly competitive industry and only few can say they kept their initial selves intact.HBR started out almost amateurish, like a doujin circle trying to make a gacha. It was clunky and weird and unique. Over the last 3 years it really has grown to be more competent in many ways, constant improvements in all sectors, ridiculously ambitious story chapters and set pieces, monthly events the quality of which other gacha can't even reach in their main chapters and a bunch of modes and new ideas constantly being added left and right. My Steam account says I played over 2000 hours of this game and while there is definitely inflation of me just keeping it open in the background a lot, this is still not too far off. I hate gachas. I hate this entire industry and it's gambling simulators and all the pandering and waifushit. Yet here I am putting more than a 1000 hours into a gacha game and sticking with it over 1000 days. I even spend a little money on it here and there. That's how good HBR is. And sometimes its hard to appreciate that fact when I get lost in minor grievances or make fun of another absurd decision by WFS. It's all in good fun in the end. Yeah there were lows (Slutkasa, looking at you) and maybe the game has become a bit more waifufag pandering as it went on, but compared to the joy it gave me that's basically irrelevant. Thanks Jun Maeda, Kai, Yuugen, Kaki-P and the staff at Key and WFS. You somehow made a good gacha game. Let's hope for two more equally amazing years and a satisfying conclusion to the main story.
They picked 31X. Damn, how much do they hate 31D?
I kinda forgot that it was revealed from the start that Irene uses a fake name.
>>4308067>hating on 31D and treating it like trashAt least the EN server keeps up one tradition from JP.
>>4308067>Damn, how much do they hate 31D?They did a bunch of weird ass jumps before too, I don't think it's about that.
I guess this means Ruka will get another unison style with Yuina.
https://x.com/heavenburnsred/status/1844588186523271325Apparently all ults that buff/debuff stats, including the new unison, are bugged and apply the effect after the attack and not before like normal buffs/debuffs. Which means that unless this bug was newly introduced, Risa's SS1 could have been bugged for 2+ years, it was just so bad that nobody ever noticed. It will be fixed in November, which is a little crazy when it affects your new limited special style.
3k quartz and the scam gave me one of the two styles I have LB4 of. Thanks game. Fuck you too. Not that I expected the 5%, but my fucking god.
Let me guess, the punch line of this long bike charging joke would be Yuki doing it and feeling absolutely nothing.
I didn't get the 10k quartz but twitter shitposters hit the 10% for posting about this game every day. That's enough for me to call it rigged.
>new yukki style means a new memory story>remember how good the last two ones were>excitingly go to play the new one>see KETSU in the titleoh fuck off not this shitto again
>>4308739I feel the same way when they release the new memo story for Tama, I look at it and it's waku waku time again. Like, come on, we had enough of that.
https://x.com/hbr_official_en/status/1844769931734454474They again posted about the cancer, so yeah, they walked back on that stupid translation choice.
>>4308739The first three ones still had their gay moments with KETSU being treated like RukaYuki's child but there's absolutely none in this one and on top of being pretty short, it didn't really feel like a Yukki memory story. It felt like they were setting up flags for future plot points but that's pretty much it.Feels like they said to make do with the unison's homescreen lines, which were all pretty gay, to be fair.
I wonder if they'll even stick to the unison = 2 styles format, or if Yuki just got preferential treatment. Just think about it. Let's assume they don't go into full greed mode and continue with the current unison-every-4-months format. That means 3 unisons a year. Now let's count1. RukaYuina2. KareTsuka3. MeguTama4. TsuKare5. TamaMegu6. AoiSomeone7. SomeoneAoiThat alone is 2+ years, without them even scratching the surface of this game's pairings. Are they really going to commit to that?
>>4308861Why would they need that? -RukaYuki-YuiRuka-YukiRuka-RukaYui-AoiRuka-RukaSharo-RukaAoi-SharoRuka-MiyaRuka-RukaKoju-RukaMiya-KojuRukaAnd so on ad nauseum. Damn, if that's what we get I suppose i should pull this Yuki style.
The difference between Tsukasa's and Megumi's charging scenes is interesting. One is a complete victim of waifufag/fanservice push, the other fights hard to show a bit of her personality even in such a cursed scenario. That was probably unintentional, but it can also be interpreted in a meta way as a refusal to just succumb to being a fanservice doll.
>>4309108Tsukasa's reaction was really subdued though...? Like she barely reacted. Compared to the Ruka and Tama reactions it was not a big deal.
>>4308706Except I have see a pretty even spread between all the regular HBR posters on xitter. A lot got 10k, but just as many didnt.
>>4308574You dont use Risa's SS1 to deal damage with her, you do it to buff the party. And the numberfags would have noticed if the ult buffs didnt trigger for 2 years.
>>4309177I really don't want to explain this in /u/, but Tsukasa's was the least comical and the most coomer targeted, just pure arousal, as if she was genuinely reacting to it sexually.
>>4309230I think you are interpreting way too much into this. The entire gag is that it feels good. Tsukasa just went a subdued moan and then said "oh is it already over" afterwards. It's no worse than super addict Tama or Megumin's "no I wont give into the pleasure" with the maximum horny face... As if that wasnt a popular porn trope.
>>4309237Anon, you really don't get how lewd fanservice works. Tama's super addiction reaction is pure comedy, it doesn't appeal to actual coomers in the slightest, it's just too over the top retarded for that. Tsukasa's realistic sounding >Wait... What is this... It's amazing...with a moan and an erotic delivery going into>It's already overwith a disappointed tone as if she wanted more is just pure fucking fan service, there's nothing comedic about it. I don't know if you're actually that innocent or if you just don't want to see what's in front of you.Anyway, let's just stop this discussion on this board, if you don't see what they were going for, it's for the better.
>>4309245Anon, we all unserstand that the gag is comparing this action to sexual pleasure. And everyone has had that done to them, including Tama. Over the top or notWhat I take issue with is that you made it sound like Tsukasa was somehow more exteme than Megumin, who as I jist stated did the usual "I wont give on to the pleasure" trope. Also /u/ is a red board and sexual themes arent exclusive to hetshit, so you dont have to act like its something you cant talk about here. It's just a trashy gag, but it is unspecific enough that you might as well imagine that this is how the girls act when they have sex with each other. It's already obvious Tama will ask Megumin to electrocute her with psychic power so this is super accurate.Tsuskasa is totally a bottom for Karerin, so this seems pretty appropiate too.
>>4309247>What I take issue with is that you made it sound like Tsukasa was somehow more exteme than Megumin, who as I jist stated did the usual "I wont give on to the pleasure" trope. That's because you're being really disingenuous for some reason. Was it actually the usual "I wont give on to the pleasure" trope? Did she actually act it out the way it's supposed to go, or did she switch to her ora voice mid-sentence and start yelling like a gorilla? Ironically, I literally just saw some waiffag shitter whining about it, just before typing this post> 制圧戦のめぐみんメスの声期待したんだけど酷く残念だ
>>4309259There was a minor subversion in her second line when she shouts, sure, but that doesnt undo the sexual CG or the trope. You also ignore Tama's lines which are the equivalent to the partner teasing the embarrassed girl who doesnt give into pleasure. The set up was not accidental. This isnt a porn scene, it's still supposed to be a shitty gag, so it's not that deep on any front.
I gotta say, I really love the gimmick of the Sharo event boss in Score Attack. It's really fun. The fully charged canon even ignores Aoi's block, so you have to work around that!I did a team with A-san and Mari using their shadow clone skills which made them dodge the big artillery attack. That feels so good.I really think they should do another boss with front and back lines. Maybe for the 5.2 final boss.
>>4309309It wasn't a minor subversion, it was the entire point of that scene. She broke the indented setup and went down in-character instead of delivering a proper lewd fanservice scene like she was supposed to. It's not about it being deep or not, that's literally what happened, I don't know what I'm even arguing about right now.
I assume 2 of the remaining 3 events this year are B and D in any order, but I wonder what the third one is. Probably not E or F, C already got 2 events this year, so it should be unlikely (but not impossible) for them to get a 3rd. So A, G or X? Hm.
Took me almost half a year but I'm almost caught up with the main story with only 5.1 missing so far.I want to take a break from all the hard gameplay main story stuff, do you guys have some favorite must play event stories?Really enjoyed the 31E's stories, the six sisters have really grown on me
>>4309446My first recommendation would indeed be Muua event. What elevated it was the timing. It came right after two shitty and het events in a row. So it was kind of a fresh air. The second pick is Akari's event. Read it.
>>4309446good job catching up anon. I second Akari's event, it also has one of the best songs in the whole game. If you wish to continue reading events with a similar emotional mood then read Sharo's too. Read Adelheid's event (the non-swimsuit one) to understand why Adel/Mari are one of the most popular ships in the game. And read Carole's event if you want something comedic and light-hearted.
>>4309466Het? Which events and how so?
>>4309531The first was Tama event. It wasn't about her, it was about old mermaid and a man who was in love with her when she was young. The second is first Angel Beats collab event. It's so shit you can see how much Maeda didn't care about it. I was surprised the second one is actually good. It's about Irie. Her story is her """friends""" collectively decided to start on her a psychological torture which they called "a prank". It ended up costing Irie life in an accident. The girl and one of the boys overcame with guilt stepped on the path of self-destruction. The other one, however, was secretly in love with Irie (don't you worry, he was all to eager to participate in the prank). And he decided for himself that he would not let guilt take a hold of him, decided to become better and even got the other two from graves they were digging for themselves. All because "Irie wouldn't want that". And many years later he died a virgin middle-aged man because he "loved" Irie all his life. And in the end of event Irie and him reunite in the afterlife (maybe).
>>4309562>First AB event is worse than second First AB event actually gave Irie a new backstory while the second one just repeated everything that was known from the AB game then rewarded the mentally ill suicidal freak like he was the victim. Maybe it had more yuri in it, but I wholeheartedly disagree with it indulging people who are miserable and want to drag everyone down with them. The scene of Hisako coddling him genuinely disgusted me. Irie's classmates realized their mistakes and atoned for it, but this guy who ruined Hisako's life gets away with it just because he was doing it out of his twisted sense of love. It could've been written so much better since Hisako and his band was also in the wrong for not getting him help. In any case I would prefer Maeda writing about stupid mermaids and cats over him simplifying mental illness and suicide like he did here and in 5.1. I'm sure he can do it well, but the amount of time he spends on it in the instances that he does in Heaven Burn just doesn't sit right with me.
Love Isuzu × Ichiko so much.
They will have a second 1000 days gacha after the next event, won't they? It'll be around the actual date.>>4309446If you haven't played them yet, play U140(Maru) and movie squad(Carol), the amount of references it gets all over the game is insane to be out of the loop. After those two, it's nice to continue with an A-san event (the non-swimsuit one).
>>4309446We have a play order guide in the OP for a reason. Dont just play random events, they are connected. If you follow any of the suggestions the other anons gave, definitely check what requirements events have first. With beating 4.2 you at least are past most main story spoilers for now.
>>4309562This is fucking bullshit though. Calling the Mermaid event "het" because there is a guy for a combined 1 minute in her flashbacks who had a crush on the mermaid is really stretching it. She never have ven requited his feelings nor does the story's main message have anything to do with romance. It was about human warmth and connections.
>>4309607You are really trying your hardest to gloss over how terrible the first AB event was on EVERY level, just so you can justify your hateboner for one topic you disliked in AB2. Here are the issues with AB1:-The HBR side was worthless, they characters had no reason to interact or be in HBR's setting, they do nothing interesting when there -Irie's backstory is garbage. You think suicidal guy in AB2 is bad? Here comes male self-insert guy who is the super savior who will fix everyone even though he got Irie killed too, but its fine because he Loooooved her (disgusting hetshit is always the worst sin) and then we are supposed to be emotional because the fucker visit her grave as an adult to tell her he will now fuck some other woman after not getting over his 2 months crush on Irie from high school. Who cares? Holy shit.-The event just fucking ends out of nowhere. It's so bad-The gags were 99% terrible amd characters are stuck to chapter 1 logic so they cant even properly interact The only saving grace of AB1 is the Crow Song cover. In comparison AB2 has really good gags, is actually trying to integrate 31A into the damn plot, even reveals more about Ruka's past and feelings, gives major closure for a yuri pairing from AB and has a genuinely creepy mood at times when it tries to.You dont like that the suicidal guy who has abandonment issues gets to be treated nicely in the end, but the entire point of this situation is to resolve regrets so they can pass on. It's not gonna be a 10 year therapy session.AB2 was not amazing, but I actually tried and had good things to it. That makes it infinitely better than AB1.
>>4309625We used to this as a thread pic while ago. Great art. Kinda sad the current Isuzu event has so little IsuIchi content. I had hoped them sleeping in together in the same bed would spawn mote fanart, but Isuzu's reaction wasnt gay enough.
>>4309676That's unfortunate to hear regarding the event, but oh well, sometimes it can't be helped. They're so cute together and are my favorite ship anyways.
Speaking of the play order list, I guess I have to put Operation Perseus somewhere in there. Was it unlocked after chapter 3?Considering how Megumin acts it's clearly post 4.2 though.
>>4309781Yeah, it's 100% post 4.2, not only Megumi being very Megumi, but also Tsukasa doing her newer awakening dynamic. I'm not sure why they put it after 3.
>>4309835You know WFS. They are deathly allergic to locking content behind anything above chapter 2. So even a chapter 3 requirement is already out of their comfort zone. Those absolute morons. This reminds me that when they said there would be story chapter news last stream I saw a bunch of people comment "I guess its finally time to start chapter 5". This is literally what I'm always talking about. The player needs INCENTIVE to do later content. The story stats suck because people know there is nothing waiting for them after the latest chapter so they dont feel the need to hurry. If they locked events behind later chapters the players would need to advance more often.
For some reason I thought the new chapter news would be revealed in late November, but I checked the schedule again and it's probably around November 7th.
>>4309973Doesn't really matter. If we follow previous patterns, it's a teaser in November, a full trailer in January and the chapter in February for the anniversary.
Trying to make Tezuka cutesy: Impossible challenge.
They've been posting new 4komas nonstop, but I feel like they didnt even do all the ones from the last batch? Also this one is hilarious.
https://gs-ch.com/articles/contents/arVxRvR5CpuKcuZc9awewJ9aNew 4komas. They seem to be changing the posting format again. Now they let the game twitter to post the first half without spoiling it early, then post the 2nd half in a batch.
>>4310308Goddamn, Higumin is a menace.
The chef Tama cooking for Megumi subplot is cute, but I don't understand why the author pushes this angle so hard when in the actual game it's the other way around and it's Megumi who learned to cook and cooked for 31A in several events. I often get the feeling from this 4koma that she cares too much about her newly introduced gags.
>>4310312I'd say it would be worse if she just repeated existing jokes from the game. But she has also been implementing more canon dynamics lately. And pages like this >>4310302 where she uses Yanagin's death animation fron the game panel by panel is really good.
I wonder if they will allow unisons in the style popularity poll next year.
"What are you peeking at??"
Somehow Yuki was kind to me. 11 SS+2 tickets +spark. Luckiest banner I ever had. Although unison came only on 170th pull.
https://x.com/hbr_official_en/status/1846281016983671001More info about EN server. They seem to follow what CN did.Pre-reg PVhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGnlHxx1r-4
>they translated "styles" as memorias?
>>4311222What do they mean by Flashback battles? Do they mean the event battles you do for tokens?Lots of weird naming conventions here. Makes me worry for the translation in general. Sometimes they get too fancy. Now more importantly, there seems to be a planned release date for November 15th. And they start with chapter 3 and events up to Koju. Weird. I guess they are keeping 4.1 and Interlude 1 for the first big update.
Psycho trio from the new Operation Perseus is looking good.
>>4311235>And they start with chapter 3 and events up to Koju. Weird. It's just like CN. They started in July, released 4.1 in September, and will release 4.2 later this year, in November or December. While not perfect, it's nice in a way, players get to experience the post ch.3 and post 4.2 cliffhangers like JP did.And I'm not sure if they will follow CN on events, but what they did there is that Inori and Survival events are also part of the already "done" events in the archive, they just unlocked them after release, not on release.
https://x.com/heavenburnsred/status/1846385588062323064They will tease the "new battle content" and announce who will get the next set of master skills in the next stream already. And the event of course.>>4311419>post 4.2Post 4.1. I'm so used to writing post 4.2when talking about plot that I just wrote it automatically.
I pulled the onsen Isuzu on her first banner a good year ago, probably gave her one LB for the extra SP, similar to how I did this year for her latest style's banner. And this is how she looks as of today.I mean, I suppose it's mutual. But dang. One of my favorites, of not most favorite chars of the game, otherwise I'd not directly pull for her styles. They are good but not absolutely needed.
>>4311222It’ll look quite bad if they don’t hit the 200k milestone by launch
>>4311419I thought CN started with 1st anni and AB1? Well whatever I dont give a shit about CN.>>4311437They havent properly advertised the game anywhere, so its their own fault. Relying on word by mouth isnt always the move. Yostar STILL doesnt even advertise HBR on their main page.
>>4311438Yeah, it's not like Uma Musume, which had like 5 anime shows by the time global was announced, so even if it's not popular in the west, people still know about it and will check it out. If you want this game to have a chance, you need to go ham on advertising, the average gacha player doesn't know it exists.
>>4311437Only 50k, ouchIdk if I should bother with global if it’ll EoS quickly, might as well just start with JP
There is an EN discord now. Do you think we can send the newcomers there? Would be easier than doing 2 threads.
>>4311438They started on AB1 with events up to Koju available on release, then added Inori and Survival as archive unlocks along with the newly added events. Then they used such a format as an excuse to skip the Byakko event and also add it as an archive unlock, even though it was not the same.
Also, it seems that EN didn't get the rights to AB? They would probably promote it heavily if they started with it like CN. Or maybe they will do it later.
>>4311458Would be kinda weird not to get the ok for AB content when working with Key and all.
Tell me Tama isnt the top on this relationship.
>>4311222They are calling them cancer in the pv? I thought they changed it
>>4311566Slowpoke we already talked about that days ago.
So for the new Perseus chapter I did everything I could. Was quite nice. Makes me want an open world game even more.Add echolocation to Megumin's psychic powers I guess...That Ruka confession fakeout qas really dumb. I laughed though. I also love Dumbkasa being afraid of bugs, but Awakened Tsukasa respects cockroaches' resilience. Sometimes they are literally two different people. For lore, we got a Cancer that was clearly enhanced by scientists, which is worrying. And the implication by Asami at the end that Nanami being able to sync with the bike via voice command not being expected must mean sonething. The idea that the bike uses a function that calms Nanamin down in combat and that it seems to have some negative effects also seems important.Honestly makes right now the whole floatbike thing feels like filler, but what if it gets used in a future chapter? There are so many side-missions about retrieving more bike research and testing it. But they are optional! Could you imagine a sequence where the bike is used and its health bar/fuel depends on how much optional content you finished? That would be cool.
Wait, Tama has biri-biri addict lines in perseus? Is it really after 5.1, or is Maeda adding interactions from the future again, like screaming Tsukasa in AB2? >>4311994>Honestly makes right now the whole floatbike thing feels like filler, but what if it gets used in a future chapter? It can go either way, but right now I feel like it's the other way around, like they're setting up these mystery things to explain why they can't really use it in future chapters so people don't question it every time.
>>4312091It's totally possible that the floatbike will be destroyed by the end if Domination mode (or this arc of it). Maybe it sacrifices itself for Nanamin or whatever. But all the research makes it very hard to justify why they wouldn't mkae more. Unless that tiny hint of negative feeback was supposed to imply that using the bikes will eventually harm the rider. But even then you would think the military would accept that risk for more firepower.
31X is done. Only 31D is left.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0vNsUjYDiAThe official EN channel posted Dance Dance Dance today. The lyrics seem fine, I guess. But it's a weird choice to post something like this ahead of release. Hopefully they don't do this with all the SiL songs from the release content.
I honestly love the King Ruka x Princess Sharo bit. The love triangle with knight Yukki is good.
They translated Otama-san as Cappy. Karen-chan as Karrie.
>>4312486Did they though? Where did you see that?
>>4312488They started sponsoring random youtubers, if you skim through the videos(you can mute them too) you can see more of the translation. It's in the first video at 5 minutes.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tELF5nIZmUkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_Bg6demew0Also, they fixed Yanagi, she's a butler again instead of the lady's maid her profile said she was. No idea if they fixed the chosen one/savior thing yet.
>>4312490Seems like Yostar at least does take people's complaints into consideration then. Though it's too late to chance a lot of those things now.Karrie is a fucking dumb boomer reference. Who even knows that book/movie these days except horror fanatcis? That remake bombed. And cappy has nothing to do with otama-san...
>>4312491>And cappy has nothing to do with otama-san...It's especially interesting because Bungo is still Bun-chan, so they're not even against using Japanese nicknames with honorifics. It seems they just wanted Tama to have some kind of meme nickname.
>>4312492They pretty much took out all the honorifics though. And they do the usual dumb localization thing of making everyone use first names. But apparently only for some characters? I just dont get the logic.
>>4312493Well, the video says it was the test server, maybe the release version will have more shit changed.
>>4312494The test server that was never publically announced and that they put a bunch of braindead gacha influencers into apparently. I think the ones actually testing the game should be people who care about the plot and characters and not just the gameplay. Especially because the gameplay is already handled by JP. EN just copies what JP gives them? The only thing that needs testing is literally the translation.
>>4312486Such weird choices. Biggest whiplash though was seeing Teheperinko translated as Torpedo Whoopsie Gravy.
>>4312575I think the Torpedo version is the upgraded one. Like submarine teheperinko.I kinda get the whoopsie gravy thing... it's a pun on whoopsie daisy. But it doesnt even remotely relate to the original word.In generall all these references and puns are based on kind of old stuff. Maybe because Maeda's references and jokes are also all for oldschool Japanese entertainment.
I need 5.2... KareTsuka...
>day 7 chapter 1>300 quartz>a week left for yuri unisonCan i make it to guarantee it as a new player? Should i top up?
>>4312604Sorry, I dont think there is any way to get enought currency in 7 days unless you are either ultra lucky or no-life story mode and events. But I really dont recommend that just to get a style. If all the free shit from the 1000 day special wasnt enough you might just have to bite the bullet and pay.
>>4312604>>4312607Or... alternatively you could reroll.... if you havent spent money yet.You would have to redo those 7 days of chapter 1, but it might be worth it if you want the style that badly. You can reset your game in the options menu and restart before the tutorial gacha. Just roll for unison over and over until you get it.
>>4312607>If all the free shit from the 1000 dayIsnt it "just" 100 rolls for non-uniso styles? I also got 3k quarts which i already rolled on the banner.>>4312610No, i dont want to reroll. Guess ill see how much quartz i get and then try my luck.
>>4312615>Isnt it "just" You probably dont have a good overview of the systems yet, but the 1000 day celebration has a mission campaign for achieving stuff that gives you 1k quartz overall. But you need to spend like 150 life stones on it if you want to rush it.Also you just missed it, but there was a log in bonus of 2k quartz just a week or so ago as a lead up to the 1000 day celebration. Sorry, that doesnt really help your case...>No, i dont want to reroll.Just to be clear to avoid pain, the Unison cant be rolled in the tutorial gacha. Instead you have to skip through the prologue and then go to the unison banner and use the free currency you get on it. Dont know if the 1000 day currency loot chest will reset too, but technically you could get 10k quartz from that if you are lucky and roll 3 times in a row. It will make rerolls much easier than usual.I honestly think this is the best option for a new player. You have a unique chance to cheat the system. Especially because rates for new players tend to be fudged so you get more SS styles.I just really don't want you to rush through the game for this is all.
>>4312617>Dont know if the 1000 day currency loot chest will reset too, but technically you could get 10k quartz from that if you are lucky and roll 3 times in a rowWhere do you get that chest? Or rather, where can i look the event details up?
>>4312622That chest is something you just get for logging in right now. The one that gave you 3k quartz. It has a chance of going to 10k. It's gambling, just like a gacha banner lolAs for getting the details on the homescreen there should be a link to all current campaigns.
>>4312625Ah, i understand. The chest was a one-time thing and i got 3k instead of 10k. I see. The banner pity doesnt transfer in HBR, right?
>>4312628Nope, the points you accumulate from banners are turned into golden coins which you can use in the cat's shop.
>>4312628>>4312632And yeah, they are basically worthless
>>4312636They are kind of useful early on. It's the only way to unlock Ruka's special SS gear. And some of the items and ressources you can get there every month are kinda rare. But the longer you play the less interesting that shop becomes.
Well, im 100 pulls into the banner, i hope i can scratch 100 more pulls by playing the story and stuff. Should be doable in 6 days, i hope.
>>4312639(me)Of course, without rushing things. But i do play quite a lot a day if i want to.
>>4312639Absolutely not. That's 30k quartz. Even if you beat all story chapters right now that wouldnt get you close. You would have to also grind out several archived event shops and each even takes between 2-5 hours. And each only gives 1.5k quartz max. You can get quartz from doing well in Score Attack and Arts Battle, but as a beginner your teams will never be strong enough to pull that off. There are small incremental gains from filling your accolades and from beating the rhythm game mode with good scores and for daily missions, but that is pocket change.I'm sorry, I really am, but unless you spent the next 7 days doing nothing but finish story and events you will not get a spark with free currency. All you can hope for is getting lucky with normal pulls. Good luck though! I am also still trying to get unison Yukki myself. I can barely scounge together another 3k by the end of the weekend.
>>4312644Well, in my case i can always just buy the 30k quartz. I still got those two packs available in the shop. But i always prefer getting something for free lol Ah, if youre wondering why im not rerolling its because my account is a month or two old. I have both previously released Unisons and a few tier 0 buffers and stuff. Just didnt have much time to play anything recently. But its good to know that even newcutie quartz isnt enough for the remaining 100 rolls.
>>4312649I see, that explains how you even managed to get to 100 pulls in the first place. I was so confused how a newbie just spends 30k quartz.
>>4312649Adding to that, i also got this lesbian yandere, who is my pride and joy. >>4312654Yeah, technically still a newbie since im still at the beginning of the story. But even when i was busy with reallife i found time to pull on some stuff. Too bad i got late for the 1000 days event. Didnt expect it at all.
>>4312655Sharo... That is also a style I still want. I swear I got like 80% of all styles, but all the ones I want elude me. Missing Isuzu SS3 hurt.Anyway good luck. Enjoy the story and events first so that the girls in these styles actually mean something to you too~
https://x.com/hbr_official_en/status/1847306655689580612Interesting that they promote free Ruka when the counter hasn't even sniffed that goal. I still wonder why they call the styles "memoria", do they know something we don't, or is it just translator's fan fiction?
>>4312659Good luck to you too, nee-san. Hope you can get the Yukki as well.
>>4312662You are talking about the same localizers that wanted to call Cancer "the Phage". Safe to say they just love getting unnecessarily fancy.
Flipping mama's switch.
Nanamin top... no way. This defies my carefully thought out top and bottom tier list!
OKAY, so what the fuck did i just read? This wasnt subtle at all! Please tell me Ruka wasnt joking around about herself being a lesbian? Wait, that would explain the Unison style between those two..Is that it? I cant tell with the MC having this thick layer of sarcasm. But if i can take this relationship bond at face value and it wasnt a joke, then..wow. Maeda..
>>4312807Bitch didn't you play the prologue? What about "Even when I make love to women" did you not understand?
>>4312807There are several openly lesbian girls in this game. Everyone else is just not open about it or hasn't realized it yet.
>>4312815Its been a while since i read the prologue. Who said that? I swear, i usually remember stuff like that.
>>4312821Ruka. It's literally the most memed choice in the game, because it is so out of pocket. And Tezuka completely sanbags it by just agreeing.Ruka confirms repeatedly across the game that she is only into women. It's not vague at all.
>>4312824>Ruka confirms repeatedly across the game that she is only into women. It's not vague at allKamige. Anyone remembers in which part of the day this was? Ill replay it right now.
>>4312833Seriously...? It's the damn prologue. Right after the tutorial battles when Ruka gets assigned squad leader.
>>4312838What were you thinking, past me? I also dont think i was aware of the rewind feature back then..why did i pick 1. Im ashamed.
Speaking of that prologue choice, the translation in the beta is kinda less gay. They changed it to "girl-on-girl bonding time". Like what the fuck? Just say love making or something. This is supposed to be THE big signal at the start of the game that Ruka is a lesbian. Come on.
>>4312948like i said many times before, the regflag localization decisions cemented the english version as garbage. of course they will fuck with the script, too. get ready for no words like "suicide" or censored bath dialogue with younger looking characters.
>>4312951The choice and Tezuka's reply generally hit the same notes, but it's clearly much less direct, which kinda ruins the whole joke. And also less gay. However everything else you say is just dumb doomposting.
>>4312955we'll see what happens. you will eat your words sooner than later.
>>4312978For crying out loud... It's been a couple of hours >>4312731
Well EN is doomed from the start being so far behind and with zero marketing whatsoever. Honestly WFS or better yet Key should've just handled EN themselves instead of going to Yostar whose only major contribution so far is slapping on their brand.
>>4312985Yeah it's called "good luck doing business with chinks". Bet the first thing Yostar though after wfs approached them is how do they kill the game at the start. No need for another rival for their gacha cows.
Phew. Chapter one was a good introduction. I hope it gets even more emotional. Im in need of a good old nakige. Just to be clear, is this the Mari event that the guide in the OP recommends to play right after chapter 1?
How's the gameplay? Is it fun? Kinda wanna get into another turnbased gacha since FGO is getting boring.
>>4313025Gameplay? No. But if you compare it to FGO it's a whole level above! Or even sevral levels
>>4313021Nvm, im blind. It literally says which chapter should be cleared for the events. Its late.
>>4313031That's good to hear. My standards aren't very high for gacha. As long as there's the occasional difficult fight, I'm happy.
>>4312948Thank fuck everything is voiced, otherwise I’d have cut my losses and just started on JP instead
>>4313086just start on jp. at some point the descriptions will annoy you. playing on jp even without being able to read is perfectly fine. and let's not forget the huge gap between the versions. and the fear of eos for the english version is real.
>>4312824While the Yuina and Tezuka scenes are comedic there's also the Yukki bond story where Ruka ask Yukki if interested in the opposite sex and if she will try to settle down and get married after the fight is over and Yukki tell her she can't imagine it and then ask Ruka the same question and she answer that she can't imagine it either and that they should just stay partner forever.
>>4313091The only thing really stopping me is laziness. Ignoring the 1-time stuff like making a JP appstore account (and getting a JP VPN?), I’ll be taking screenshots and switching to a translator far too frequently for my liking.
Kakinuma needs to loosen up more. Keigo ceo isn't the type of energy people are looking for when being sold a mobile game, especially when it comes to the west
>>4312807just wait til you meet Isuzu and Shiki
>>4313021>>4313033The game does quite literally tell you to play the event, so it's one of the few where you don't have to use the guide to be honest. But it's good that you ask first when unsure. As said in the guide, Mari and Bungo's event are best played right after chapter 1. All other events are optional. It's not a problem to play chapter 2 right after these two.
>>4313104I always thought it was weird how thea danced around the bush in that episode when Ruka literally repeatedly stated to be only into girls. I guess it was more for Yukki's benefit.
>>4313126Anon... the JP server is on Steam. You literally dont need any of that shit. You an just download and play the game right now with your Steam account. Also there are other translation tools than the awful screenshot method. Try an OCR.
>>4313152Have you ever watched the update streams? Kaki is literally incapable of being anything but a descriptive dev. He sits there and rambles off data from slides like a robot. That's what happens when you make a camera shy dev into a promoter.
>>4313170Not to mention that the only reason people post so littel orn here is because HBR has very little porn fanart to begin with. It's not because people are somehow afraid to post it for some puritan reasons.
>>4313025Only fun gameplay is endgame boss', i.e. high level score attack. Most people never get there though. It requires quite a bit of money OR a very old account. They lock the highest SA level away from lb0 styles (arguably even lb1), and on lower difficulty settings the enemy DP/HP goes down as well to the point the charm of it goes away.To explain this HBR is all about stat difference. If the enemy has 360 stats and you 400 you deal the same damage as if the enemy has 430 stats and you 470. However in the former case it'd have WAY less dp/hp in SA, meaning you play a different and way easier game. The latter is however too high stats to participate with lb0 styles, they'd just get oneshot and then you game over.
Lots of AoiByakko in the 4koma lately.
>>4313179Really dumb opinion desu. As if Score Attack was somehow the end goal for gameplay. Hard mode bosses, Star Raid bosses, Arts Battle high scores, rhythm game mode, Tower challenges.... Just because (You) only care about one thing doesnt mean nothing else worthwhile exists. Not to mention that unless you are a numberfagging retard, story mode with story accurate teams can also have really cool battles.
>>4313174I’m not home most of the time so my phone and tablet are my main options. How hard is the JP used for the events/story anyway? If I can get away with checking Jisho once every few lines then OCR is overkill.
Before they announce the next event, it's a good time to do some random guessing. What if the 5.2 side squad is actually still 31B? With Ichigo/Sumomo's dark past being explored in parallel with Karen's story? They dropped some serious sprites for Sumomo not too long ago, and I assumed it was for her event, but what if?
>>4313192Can tablets not run steam?>how hard is the JPHBR has a lot of wordplay and that's not even mentioning the lyrics of the many very important songs. There is some really technical Japanese too for military and science terminology which the translator is usually better at than the average reader. On top of that there is weird slang and regional dialects to consider... honestly I don't envy Yostar trying to translate this thing into English.I think on average it's easy Japanese, but the game loves throwing curveballs, so you probably will understand like 70% of it without dictionary support, but those 30% are really rough.
>>4313195I'm 100% convinced Sumomo is getting an event soon, that's what the sprites are for. I don't see 31B being in the focus agains for 5.2. And they are probably saving up 30G for the finale in 5.3. 31C has been working behind the scenes a lot so maybe they get focus again. Or it will be like 4.1 and 4.2 and focus only on 31A with occasional other squad support.
>>4313197>Steam on tabletI wish>wordplayI assume Yostar will try to localize that, which’ll take all the fun out of it for me personallyIf I start now, is there anything I should know/do/avoid? And it seems like there’s a pair(?) card on gacha now, how easy/hard is it to reroll for that? What should my reroll targets be in general if I’m not going to be whaling?
>>4313208Also, if I get it on Steam for when I am at home, I’ll be able to use the same account as my tablet’s, right? And any recommendations for an OCR software?
>>4313208Wow so many questions at once. Ok.>I assume Yostar will try to localize thatThey literally have no choice. Those jokes are gibberish in English.>it seems like there’s a pair(?) card on gacha now, how easy/hard is it to reroll for that?Unison style, yes. That's the most yuri type you can get. As for rerolling, you probably have the best conditions right now, because of the free quartz loot box for 1000 day anniversary. If you reroll for the unison you have a good chance of getting 10k quartz sometimes, which gives you 3 rolls instead of 1.Well you will see if you get there. First you gotta beat the prologue.>What should my reroll targets be in general if I’m not going to be whaling?Look at the OP. We have literally everything you need in there, including a reroll guide. Why do people never look at OP?>>4313212You can absolutely switch between devices, although it is slightly annoying to do. make sure to always back up your data before you do it.>OCRI use Mingshiba's Sugoi Translator Toolkit, which has tools for like everything from VN OCR to manga and novel translators. But the free version is only available in the middle of the month, which we just passed, so you have to wait a month to get it, sorry.
>>4312948How detrimental this localization will affect the Yuri experience?
>>4313219How the fuck should I know? The EN server isnt up yet. It's literally just snippets from the beta server by influencers.Maybe this was just a dumb translation or maybe they will make all the yuri innuendo. I can't predict the future.
>>4313217In case someone wonders why I don't put a link to the OCR into the OP to spare myself the question every time, I don't want to be accused of shilling someone's Patreon. It's against the rules to advertise stuff like that.I'm just sharing what worked for me and I'm not saying there are no other translators that can do the same thing or better.
>>4313217Thanks for the answers.>reroll guideSeems to be recommending rerolling for 2 meta styles; how feasible/time-consuming do you think that’d be (especially if I want 2 from a pool of ~10 specific ones)?I assume you have a skip option in the prologue so I can speed up the reroll process a good bit after I read the prologue once.>OCRI’ll use whatever else I find in the meanwhile and grab that next month, thanks.
>>4313185Anon.. those things barely appear. Hard mode boss' exist maybe once per year, star raid is a 3-4 times per year?Rhythm has nothing to do with the gameplay of this, it's entirely optional and the gacha doesn't matter there, Arts Battle is fucking awful (yes, I stand by that. It's grindy and boring as fuck with extremely limited strategies), and tower? Honestly? No real rewards -> most people only clear normal. Not saying you can't enjoy Star Raid or whatever, but this is so rare, if that's what you'd play the game for, you'd be direly disappointed. Especially when a not so good one comes out. And let's be honest. Star Raid in particular has been kinda disappointing.
>>4313238The tutorial gacha only gives you 1 out of the 10 SS styles, so you only can get one anyway. But even if you get that one then you will have to get the Unison seperately afterwards. If you then want to also roll some meta styles on top of that... you will be rerolling for a while.I honestly think these days you don't need to worry about rerolls that much because you get SS styles shoved up your butt by the game and anything is kinda viable. However Unison styles are only up a limited time and then are taken out of the pool until a rerun so you HAVE to get it while it is available. my honest advice: Ignore the reroll guide. Just roll until you get the unison and take whatever else the tutorial gacha gives you. Numberfags will disagree, but rerolling to get 3 specific styles in two separate banners is insanity.
>>4313244The topic was on whether there is fun gameplay, not whether you get infinite rewards. All these modes challenge your parties, your strategy and offer something diferent. Your personal feelings on each mode are your own. Don't act like they reflect everyone. There are thousands who play Arts Battle competitively as the rankings every season show.Star Raid is very time limited, that's true, but it's something to spice up a season and when it's out it demands that you focus on it. Anyway, you get the idea. No generalizations and no doomposting just because you have particular tastes.
Is there some sort of ship chart to help me decide on who to reroll?
>>4313261A... ship chart? Why would ships affect who you roll? There are a couple of pair styles in the game and of course the unisons. I guess that's all you can really focus on for "ship" based rolls?
>>4313264I want to get 2 meta styles of a shipped pair
>>4313267Nobody is gonna make a chart for that.... I guess you can just get any 31A pairing's best styles. Like Karen and Tsukasa's Light styles are both pretty meta for light parties.Like I said, there is the unison style right now, which is literally both Ruka and Yukki as a pair in one style. That's just plain a yuri style.
>>4313261>>4313267Anon, I think it's better for you to explore the game and decide what you actually like, rather than trying to force yourself to like something predetermined and then realizing you don't like it after you've already went all in on it. To be honest, I think it's even relevant for unisons, but unisons are limited, so that's a different story.
Is there a planned release date already?
>>431328915th of November based on the appstore
>>4313195I also thought about this but at the same time I think it would be weird to have another main chapter about 31B.My initial thought was that Sumomo event = Interlude III.
>>4313334Do you have to ask the same question twice in 2 hours? Please check the thread next time. >>4313290
>>4313290Less than a month away and still no ads?
>>4313442There are several sponsored videos by influencers who got to play the beta.
>>4313442Maybe I'm extremely out of touch with the modern marketing strats, but their entire strategy baffles me. If it comes out in a month, I would think they would promote it for 2-3 months leading up to the release, not suddenly try to go from 0 to 100 in a month.
>>4313492I found it weird as well and I suspect this anon might be right >>4313015
>>4313507That literally makes zero sense dumbass. On every single level this theory is fucked.1. HBR in Japan is still gonna be successful regardless of how global is doing. They cant affect that at all.2. Yostar already has several gacha under its umbrella that are competing with each other. If they were trying to kill off shit to make the market smaller they wouldn't be doing that.3. There would literally not be a global if THEY didn't approach WFS about it. They had no reason to invest any money into this.4. HBR is never going to be a big hitter on global. That is absolutely impossible no matter who publishes it.None of this makes sense. You two are literally braindead.
>>4313514learn not to take everything you read too seriously you cup of vinegar. You're the most malignant cancer cell in this thread. You actually calmed down recently and stopped attacking anyone who has the audacity to say something different than whatever is in your head for quite some time. What happened?
I barely started the prologue and I've already laughed my ass off a couple of timesWhy does Ruka call her weapon lame though
>>4313519So you are the type of retard who assumes everyone you disagree with is the same person? Figures. I shit on moronic posts. Maybe be less moronic?
>>4313522>Why does Ruka call her weapon lame thoughShe doesnt. She said her Seraphim code is lame.
>>4313526Ah so it was the code itself
>>4313537There is a joke about how she finds twin sword bother some in a later event, so it's maybe not too far off though.
>>4313522I bet you didnt even know that if you keep going in the wrong directon during the prologue at certain moments you get funny responses from the other girls. You can repeat this at least 5 times and always get new responses. Most people know that you can drive Yukki insane with this, but fewer know you can do it again with the group when Namin shows them to the dorms.
>>4313603Thankfully I did that both at the start and right before going to the dorm
>>4313616Superhuman instincts or a snitch? I wonder. But did you actually break Yukki's "..." barrier?
>>4313507I think both you and that anon are misunderstanding something. Most of the gachas Yostar publish in EN are the old ones like Azur Lane or Mahjong Soul. They don't have the rights to Blue Archive EN, only JP, I think their only newer title is Aether Gazer, which doesn't compete with HBR in any conceivable way. Getting HBR to even a mid-level success would be a massive win for them, both financially and in reputation, so more developers would work with them, seeing that they can handle such projects. If they fail, it's because they screwed up, not because they had some sinister agenda.
>>4313620I figured I’d try everything for the first time since I’ll skip/rush the prologue for my rerolls, and ended up running into that first one>… barrierShit, I did the … like 4 times and got it was always the same so I moved on, guess I’ll do it again in another reroll
>>4313640That's how they get you. The game fakes you out with the "..." but eventually you can break her!But after that it's really her final response. I tried 30 times.>I’ll do it again in another rerollBut rerolls spit you out after that point. Not that it matters, you can always go back to any point in the story once you beat it.
I just did Yukki's new memory episode and I don't get why people thought it wasn't good? This was actually incredibly interesting for several reasons.First of all, this is just a side-note, but I noticed that the base interactions are now at 4.1 level. Until now there have been two states when doing memory episode. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 interactions. This is the first episode I can think of that actually had newer interactions. Isuzu talking to Sharo about opening her heart is an interaction that only happened in 4.1, I am certain. The garden of memories is finally advancing in time too.Now for the actual episode. As forced as it may feel, the military notebook's malfunction and self-destruct have some dire implications and the whole "You should never question who our true enemy is or our fight will lose it's meaning" thing Yukki said is obvious foreshadowing. Finally for RukaYukki this was really interesting too. It's more subtle, but-Yukki was really respectful of Ruka and said she can't let her demean herself for Yukki's sake-When Ruka did the teheperinko... Yukki just smiled and teased Ruka back-When KETSU teased them about being lovey-dovey Yukki just made calm quip backWith all of that I can only see this as an evolution for Yukki. She is calmer, more clear on where she stands in relation to Ruka and doesn't freak out over every little thing anymore. If this is how she will be in 5.2 onward I think this was a valuable insight.
Wow this has the easiest and fastest reroll process I have ever experienced. Will hopefully have an account I'm happy with tomorrow.>>4313643>But rerolls spit you out after that point.Oh yeah you were right.>you can always go back to any point in the story once you beat it.Great, I wanted to try out all choices after all.
Anyone qrd on the Lamy and Polka being at the HBR event? Are they lesbians, 2D lesbian only, or was it just an ad/sponsor?
>>4314176Whoa... someone's new. They are Vtubers from Hololive who are paid to advertise the game. They have been doing so for over a year. And Polka is indeed allegedly a lesbian, however, Lamy is just her work colleague.
Just finished Maris event. Started tearing up by the end. I dont know if im ready for the Bun-chan event. Ill just grind some Mari event points first..
>>4314250Training those tear ducts is a necessity. Make sure to actually play with 31C when the time comes.
>>4314251I already made the teams by classes. Not sure where to get all the exp to efficiently level them up yet, though. Oh, as a new player, should i save up my boquets that unlock those Prism and event dungeons? I only have three boquets.
>>4314253>where to get exp for charactersYou can train them in the arena, however I wouldn't sweat it too much, because the events tend to be very low difficulty. Still you can probably train every unti to level 20-30 really quickly. Some advice, every time during the story when you have Free Time? Go to the arena. It doesn't use up any time, you can still do bonding episodes afterwards. Also every time you go to the arena, even if you dont fight, Nanamin will give you exp items you can use to level up characters.>bouquetsI assume you mean Edelweiss? The flower needed to unlock event shops? The game gives you 3 free ones at the start, but you can buy one in every event shop, so technically if you just get it every time you will be left over with 3 Edelweiss forever. They have no other function than to unlock event reward shops, so use them.
>>4314259I completely forgot about the arena these two days. My head was full with finishing chapter 1, bondings and the Mari event. >I assume you mean Edelweiss?Yes. And youre right, it can actually be bought in the shops. Lol. Dont know why you would need the boquets in the first place but alright. Thanks for answering my questions, nee-chan.
>>4314314>why would you need them in the first place...because you cant unlock reward shops otherwise? Only the current event has an open shop, so they don't want to force the player to play a spoilery event just to get tokens for an Edelweiss.Or do you mean you don't know why the mechanic exists at all? I honestly don't know either. Considering all events are archive it seems kinda pointless to lock the reward shops.
>>4314324>Or do you mean you don't know why the mechanic exists at all?Yes. Just unlock the boss and dungeon grind after you completed the event story without the need of Edelweiss.
>50 more rolls>no Yukki>30 rolls until pityI guess that's what i get for luckshitting the other two unistyles.
Speaking of pulls. The 100 free pulls have earned me 5 SS styles by now. 3 of which were dupes, but finally getting miko Megumin was nice.>>4314337I got the Yukki unison after spending basically every bit of currency I could get from every imaginable source. I was basically gonna give up on it after that pull. Talk about dramatic timing. Sometimes I think the game makes it harder to get a style if you try hard on a banner.
so what is happening with bluesky? are we migrating?
>>4314534That depends on WFS and the artists, not us.
Allegedly there is some leaked evidence that 5.2 will come out in December. I don't trust those leakers though, so don't take it as fact yet.
>>4314692Speaking of leaks, there was one weird thing I didn't post about before because it's very unreliable, but maybe it's worth mentioning. According to one of the CN dataminers (not the reliable one, but some rando), based on some files 5.2 might be split into 2 releases. Like the first half until the mid-boss chapter this year, then the second half around the anniversary, or something like that. Again, take it with a massive grain of salt, because the source is not reliable at all.
>>4314694Splitting the split chapter again? That sounds... very unlikely. If they really need these two extra months to finish it I'd rather they wait till full anni, even if it sucks to wait. This along with the "admiral" class thing makes me wonder what those Chinese miners are huffing.
>>4307824I've finished setting up the play order guide on rentry now. https://rentry.org/3nfxh9zmI like the formatting tools and I can edit it in the future too, so I won't have to make new versions ever again. I'm considering making some kind of chart that actually goes through conditions for each individual event additionally to the play order route already available. But I would prefer to do that with some better software that is interactable instead of just plain text. Also I remember there being a list of all the secret special events at the social skill training facilities back during the 4.1 days. Has that list ever been updated? I think that might be worth adding too.
>>4314695CN miners are extra autistic. When the JP and EN ones will mostly just check obvious, straightforward things, the CN ones will check every little file and file name and try to get the most out of it. Sometimes they find gold this way, like when they found AB2 character sprites long before the 2nd collab was even announced, sometimes they just overthink some random development file names that WFS never put any deep meaning into.
>>4314699I still have a screenshot of the old list, but that's all sorry.
>>4314695Splitting wouldn't be too bad if it's split in a way they have something every 6 months or so.I myself completely lost interest in the main story due to the long wait. I have started 5.1 but only played like 2 or 3 days, I don't even know. And I played those days months apart. I blame 4.2 for taking so fucking long to release and not doing much unexpected with the story and focusing too much on world building, instead of doing something with 4.1's twist. 5.1 continues it, but that took another 10 months or so.The latest main story hasn't really been required for anything (i.e. style upgrades), so they don't really bring me to play it for that reason either.I'm starting to think the way Star Rail does its story might just be the better idea. It's also just one major story arc per year, but they focus on it for a few months, then do side-stories and such for a while, continue some overarching plot and whatnot. HBR's story quality is obviously much better, so I could see such a concept work much better, too. SR's constant rewrites hurt it a lot, also all the characters permanently releasing don't help. We have a MUCH better basis for a good story here.
>>4314713Garbage Rail has a trash story, so don't even bring that shitty game up. If you lose interest that's on you. On the contrary everyone else is extremely starved for more story content and always looks forward to it. You literally have 5.1 available and you blame a previous chapter taking long for your own inability to progress? That's just stupid. Play the chapter before you talk big.
>>4314699As a new player i appreciate the work put into this. Thank you, its bookmarked in my browser.
>>4314692>>4314694It sounds pretty legit but that's only because coming out at the end of December is the most logical conclusion you can make when they announced news for 5.2 next stream. They would definitely want the jp folk to have time to play the chapter over new years break. Now in regards to splitting the chapter, I can sorta see that happening if they have nothing major to release during anniversary outside of the collab. But I think operation Persus should be ending at around that time so it sounds unlikely unless they are really strapped for time or just want to build the hype. I just hope that the chapter is long enough to make sense splitting. Depending on how the story goes I can see them splitting the chapter when Karen tells everyone about the thing and then the fallout that comes after, but sounds more like an end of chapter cliffhanger
>>4314830I cant imagine any scenario where splitting an already split part of the larger chapter makes sense. The reason they split chapter 5 into 3 parts must be that each part will be about as short as 5.1. Can you imagine splitting 5.1 into two parts? That's silly.Only way I can see this make sense is if Maeda bloated the chapter again and makes the middle part as long as 4.2.
Good enough? Can they even be used together or should I continue rerolling?
>>4314933You dont use ice and dark/fire in the same team, but they are both excellent styles. Ice Akari is considered meta as fuck.
>>4314940Should I continue pulling or just save and work with whatever I have?
>>4314941I dont think there is any downside to pulling more. You got the unison which matters most, but otherwise you have no favorite character to save up for yet I bet, so bolstering your repertoire cant hurt. But you also dont need to rush with it if you want to save up. Like I explained before, story mode is easy. You can do it with A and S styles alone for a while. Just try to play story accurate no matter what styles you got.
>>4314947Thanks.I think I'll stick to saving until I have a better idea of who I like, especially since I Ruka+Yuki already. When do I unlock dailies/weeklies/etc. by the way? I can try make time for the story for a while but I'd prefer to sit and take it at my own pace once I unlock dailies and weeklies.
>>4314958They should already be unlocked. You have to go to the mission menu to see them.I'd focus on the story though, but you do you. It's not like you gotta do it all at once.
Finally got the unison. Had to spark but the startscreen l2d is so worth it. Some voicelines are high-grade yuri.
>>43148305.0 (chapter 5 part 2 patch) was pushed on Steam yesterday meaning there's only 2 patches (4.13.0 and 4.13.5) before it so it'll probably be early to pid December release.
>>4315289And how do you know 5.0 is the main chapter patch?
>>4315441NTA, but so far every major version bump has happened with the new chapter release. 2.0 was 4.1, 3.0 was 4.2. 4.0 was 5.1. They don't really follow semver or anything like that, they just bump it up when the new chapter comes out. So if what the anon said is true and 5.0 is coming, then it is most likely the 5.2 patch.
>>4315505I see. Never really paid attention to the version numbers. Would be really funny if they were just randomly doing th 5.0 one this time though.
>>4315505You can look at that stuff on steamdb under depots or update history of HBR:https://steamdb.info/app/1973710/
Preregs sure have picked up since they put the game on the appstores for it and made some sponsored videos. We were struggling to get to 40k for like a month and now we are already at 70k.
>>4315605Take your meds and stop getting mad with your own made up shit.
>>4315609Dont reply. This is a known troll. Report him and move on.
>>4315846You will be deleted and banned just like the imaginary freaks spooking your brain. Leave /u/ and go back to the hole you crawled out of.
>>4315736Very shoujo looking! That's cute.
Vampire Sharo...
>>4316025What a crazy pairing.
>>4316122I think the artist based it on Hisame's flashback in her event, when she used to be a cold troublemaker and Lolita-senpai was always keeping an eye on her.Genuinely kinda cute.
Alright before the Isuzu event ends, let's talk about it one more time. When the Irene event came out I talked about how it mirrored Miya's event with the exact opposite approach. This time I'm comparing similarities between Irene/Isuzu, but not their events, what with their new alliance.First of all I realized just how similar these two actually are. They both suffered through poverty in childhood and they both learned thieving skills to compensate for this. Both seem selfish but actually have altruistic goals. And both of them have an unquenchable desire to find the truth. But interestingly they are mirrored opposites. Irene started out poor and orphaned and became a thief to survive and fell in with a bad crowd. Isuzu started out in a happy family with no wants and passively learned lockpicking from her mother who tried to shield her from a life of crime.Irene was pulled out of her life of crime by someone important sacrificing herself for her and she learned to value the truth while living under a false name.Isuzu lost everything when their parents sacrificed themselves for their daughters and lived the lie of hiding her guilt about not saving Muua and preventing her sisters fate, while wearing the Ohshima name proudly. Now Irene is the detective and Isuzu is the thief. But both are simply trying to make up for their guilt of the past, just in opposite ways. Irene challenges Tezuka head on, while Isuzu subverts everyone and pries the truth out of them. One hell of a team up.I'm not saying this will become a ship or anything, but I honestly think these two have unlimited potential and chemistry if the writers know what they are doing. Isuzu and Irene seem both sort of locked in with ships that seem impossible... so if they do it right, I think this ship could work out. Especially because Isuzu is a flirt, while Irene is extremely shy about her gay side but secretly really thirsty (she constantly has dirty thoughts in so many situations lol).
So both of Charlotta's styles, Vampire(?) and Bride, have a thing going for Ruka. Im still doing the post chapter 1 events but i can expect some kind of reason why my oshi's oshi is Ruka? Also, i firmly believe that the canon pair is RukaYukki so i hope Charlotta gets with someone else and becomes happy. I hope she doesnt end up alone for some kind of running gag a la "the lonely yandere stays lonely because yandere". I kinda dont believe that they will pull that but im a very scarred imouto and generally distrusting in yuri-heavy non-yuri works, if that makes sense. Ive seen her getting artwork with YunYun but im not sure if crackship or not. If not, then what is the deal with those voicelines of Char on my homescreen? Would be kind of awkward if the story progresses and she gets closer to YunYun while her styles gush about Ruka.
>>4316136I think they'd make for a good Duo, but I don't know if I could see them as a Coupling, honestly. Might just be my IsuIchi brain though.
>>4316290That said, I'm still holding out hope for IsuIchi and more IsuIchi content, even if the odds aren't the highest. I think they suit each other too well for me not to want to root for them, honestly.
>>4316290>>4316294I'm definitely prefering Isuzu and Ichiko together at heart. But I call Isuzu/Ichiko and Irene/Maria kind of impossible ships because they have major roadblocks. I don't know if they would ever commit to actual incest with the Ohshima girls and Maria (while being a fake one) is still a Sister, so she should not get into relationships. It can't harm to set up alternatives. Especially when there is genuine potential unlike some of the more random ships we got.
>>4316155You have to do Sharo's bonding episodes (first one is in chapter 2) and her event to get it. Just don't think about stuff you can't understand yet... especially with homescreen voicelines. If you are following the play order guide, I can at least tell you that you don't have to play Sharo's event after 4.2. That is really just based on circumstantial evidence and it definitely changes how 31X interacts afterwards, which can be confusing in chapter 2-4.2 if you play Sharo's event early. But out of all the chapter 1 locked events that shouldnt be there, Sharo's is like the only one that I think is sort of fine. I would still recommend at least finishing chapter 2 first so you can play her bond episode. Also while I scoff at that idolshit language like "oshi" (what an insult to genuine love to compare Sharo's feelings to a fangirl's), you know nothing about her yet, clearly. so maybe don't declare characters are your favorites based solely on design or voice.
>Wanted to post reaction to Ichigo's new style>please wait 15 minutesLmao. Anyway, glad she finally got something that actually fits her character.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAtl5BO1iwUUhm nobody noticed the stream?? Sumomo and Ichigo styles! Sumomo event! Hello!
They're trying to sell us Minori's gimmick for 2 character showcases in a row instead of just focusing on introducing the new characters.
>>4316455FUCK. Both of these styles look awesome. Yet I'm sitting on 90k after Yukison awaiting for KareTsuka 5.2. Very risky.
>>4316455Really happy that Sumomo and Ichigo finally got some decent styles (looks). Not sure on the actual gameplay. But that doesn't really matter to me.
All new master skills are just ok, Kura was an insane outlier.
Ichiko, kanata, Carole, Hisame, Mari and Inori are the second master skill wave. Interesting. I dont even have all the old ones yet. Not enough tokens ..
Ah the UI overhauls are also introducing the full skill descriptions. Fucking finally.
Oh, the skill descriptions from the cn datamine.
Oh? Look like they are changing the reincarnation bells from 3 to 1.
Damn. The new "card mode" from the leaks was a Rogue-lite mode. That just feels like Arts Battle again with slightly different focus.
>>4307840So now we got 2 out of 4. Will we get fucking """admiral"""" later? I would laugh so hard you wouldn't believe it.
>>4316476Assuming the roguelite is this "wave" mode of course. No sign of this Duel thing.
Story chapter info is indeed in 2 weeks.>>4316479He did say the wave is likely to come out earlier.
I thought they were going to buff the initial master skills, but instead they nerfed the new ones. These in the 2nd batch are exactly as I expected them to be in the first place, just some random character flavor stuff, barely changing anything.
>>4316484The first wave was the same though with the exception of Kura. They are all situational or not game breaking. What I want is for all of them to get unique animations or reactions. I don't like how Ruka or Ichigo basically say or do nothing when their trigger.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Mq176wJhuMAnyway, looks like we are finally getting that flashback to the Jasmine mission Ichigo and Sumomo keep talking about. She really looks a lot like Aoi and they seem to have picked Aoi's VA to voice her too.Guess I was wrong about Sumomo's killer instinct being revealed in a story chapter, they are going to deal with that in her event. Also damn that trailer is really good at raising my anxiety. Hearing Sumomo have a mental breakdown...The SiL song excerpt was also seriously good. Hope the full song lives up to it.
Someone on xitter pointed out something about Ichigo's master skill I never noticed. Her master skill is the same as Aoi's SS1 LB3 ability. It's inherited. Right in the feels.
>>4316499You can't even use the correct nickname, because you havent done a single interaction with her lmaoCan't quote, can't logic, can't talk without waifufag terms. Real smooth.
>>4316487>丸いAm I not getting something? Is there some slang to this term? All I can find is "round, spherical" etc., so I don't get how that relates to happiness? Is ti supposed to mean something like "full, complete (circular)" happiness?
>>4316507>they did Nope lol. The idiot fucked up the quote of another anon and that's why it looks like they used the real nickname.>self-inserterDo you... have brain damage? When I say "done an interaction" I obviously mean a bond episode or any interaction in the story between her and Ruka.>because the word oshi is used by women too it's not a waifufag termPathetic deflection, not gonna lie.
>>4316501kek
>>4316512Qzoting someone using the correct nickname and intentionally posting the wrong nickname is actually next level autism, which makes them even more of an idiot. Truly outstanding! >medsTake them already, waifufag.
>>4316518D'aw, seems I really hit a nerve with that one. You seem really bitter. Now if you could actually play the game, learn the correct nickname of your "oshi" and stop using waifufag terms I will actually pretend to care.
>>4316523Yup, you are seriously angry about that. That's cute. Good to know it worked.
This rogue-lite seems rather barebones right now. With so few card types it doesn't feel that different from Arts mode, if not somewhat easier.
>>4316527I think you are highly overestimating your trolling skills. You just kinda got steamrolled here.
>>4316531>it doesn't feel that different from Arts mode,I feel like maybe this is more in line with what they actually wanted arts to be. Just a normal game mode that has an additional layer of cards doing things. But arts ended up having its own weird meta completely disconnected from how the rest of the game plays, and the way cards play in it is not that interesting either, you either do the most optimal things, or you're not getting far enough. However, it is possible that this mode will have the same problems, it's too early to assume anything.
>>4316539From my limited point of view it's basically like this:Arts Mode: StrategyRoguelite: Adapt ro randomnessThat's at least how these modes should differ. Execution is a different matter.
>>4316540Wow, you are REALLY salty about getting deleted last time you trolled, eh? That's really funny.
Master Skills this time around are really weird. At least as far as unlock conditions go. You got insane shit like Carole needing to win 82 fights while having broken DP or using Hisame's ult like 130 times... and then you got Maru and Ichiko who just need to use specific teams in Arts Battle? In return Hisame's is just basically useless. If her DP breaks she gives everyone else +1SP. That's a million times worse than Ichigo's DP break based skill which was laready situational. On the other hand Ichiko just gives all her sisters +10 stats on everything, which basically Ruka's skill but for an entire party.
>>4316568You came here to troll, latched onto a convo you weren't part of, failed every step of the way and now you are begging me not to make fun of you? Talk about being bad at your job.
>>4316572You do know that your posts always encourage the troll right? Every time you come at me, instead of him, every time you reply to the troll at all after I already cornered him, you are giving him an easy out. He gave up twice in a row when he had no comeback and then you gave him an out.So there are two options: Either you are the troll pretending to be another anon or you are an idiot. I don't care which, it was still fun demolishing the shitposter. Try again another day.
>>4316577The troll will not stop. He used you as a spring board to make up his own narrative and seem like the bigger person by pretending to relent. >>4316635Yet they promote the game with 31A all in bunnysuits.
>>4316651Are you stupid? I said there was backlash not that it had any effect.
>>4316653Nothing is reaching them as seen with the bunnyoutfits; that's my point, you fucking autist. I put backlash in quotations because it wasn't even worth calling it that. Are you the same person attacking everyone the whole day?
>>4316656I told you that there was backlash for that, unlike the idol style. It's really not complicated.>attacking everyone the whole dayThat troll has only been active for a few hours at most. If you want him gone report him instead of lashing out at people.
>>4316661You literally lashed out at me calling me stupid because you didn't understand what i said. And i am the one lashing out? I know what to do with you. Hopefully the mods do as well.
>>4316663I understood what you said. You didn't get my reply though and doubled down for some odd reason. So because you are clearly a child, I will explain it to you bit by bit. Pay attention!1. Anon say idol style had backlash so they gave Ichigo a cool style.2. You sarcastically say that the bunny style backlash reached them the same way, smarmily implying that backlash has no effect.3. I reply to you saying that at least there was backlash for the bunnygirl style, unlike the idol style. This post does not evaluate if it worked, just that they are not the same.4. You idiotically repeat that the backlash had no effect, which is irrelevant.5. I ask you genuinely whether you are too stupid to understand the conversation.6. You proof that you are.Voila.

>thinks everyone is the same person and asks to be reportedIt never ends.
keep posting.
I don't like that they made a U140 master skill, but not a movie team version. They always give more focus to U140, while treating the movie team like a pure comedy side thing even though the movie team is insanely stacked character-wise.
>>4316693And they didn't give the onsen team anything either! Crazy!
>>4316696Are you seriously comparing onsen thing to movie team right now?
>>4316697No.
Here's all the skills translated by FlEreverse on youtube like last time.
>>4316700Someone on xitter said that 146 is the average between Inori's and Hisame's height. If they really picked a random number like this based on that I would laugh. But Inori's condition being battles with Hisame is great enough.I really don't want to spam Hisame's skill 180 times though.
>>4316697Retard.
>>4316700I think Carole's skill will be the least used in the entire game, how many people will even bother with that requirement.
>>4316714If you use her regularly it could build up pretty well, but I think it is way easier to do than doing 155 battles or using an ult 180 times. The skill is also vastly the best out of this batch. It doesn't rely on a specific team composition and actually has a major effect. If revive really means revive from 0HP, then this is the only skill of its type in the entire game. Imagine being able to use her as a meatshield on an attack that is guaranteed to kill. It will probably be more relevant if she gets a top style though.
>>4316716>If revive really means revive from 0HPRevive is how they call restoring broken DP in this game. It's not a passive skill in the first place, how would she even cast it if she's dead.
>>4316718I compared the skill to Ichigo's and there it wasnt called revive, despite restoring all DP. If that is just because it is a passive it would be weird.I guess the phrasing here implies that revive is just 1 DP and then the extra large heal happens afterwards? That's a weird way to put it.
>>4316714This is very easy to farm. Orb Boss, Carole in vanguard during the big explosion attack. Rinse. Repeat.
>>4316720It's just inconsistent wording. If you check Ichigo's passive on hbr.quest, the effect says>Self DP revival (once)Maybe the new skill description UI will actually use consistent terms.
>>4316724Wait, I checked and it's not actually inconsistent in Japanese. Carole's is 復活, Ichigo's is 完全復活, it's like normal/big attack buff difference.
>>4316700Carol > Hisame > Ichiko > Maruyama > Inori > MariGenerally MS that require specific party members aren't very good unless the skill is OP, which these are not. Mari's is absolute trash. 1SP at the start of battle and only with specifica party member is nothing. Hisame's at least has utlity in dungeons and Arts Battle where she can break enemy DP a lot.Of the squad specific ones, Ichiko's the best simply because Ohshima styles have actual compatability and get used together a lot. Nobody will ever get use out of Maruyama's skill for a long time.
>>4316728I feel that, other than Ichiko because it actually makes sense for her, this whole "look, she cares about her squad so much" angle for master skills is so lazily ham-fisted. Just give her something that works with her shadow clone gimmick or something, give Megumi a psychic that stuns or something, why not play with their actual character parts.
>>4316734If these are just nigh useless gimmicks reflecting the character's personality, then yes they should be more unique and interesting to justify their existence. At the very least Megumin got a unique animation and an interaction with Tama. I guarantee you none of the passive buffs here will get that.I think Mari should have gotten something based around her shop clerk persona, like raising GP gain or item gain in battles. Or do some shipping with Adel. Anything but a random +1SP thing.I actually think Carol will get an animation because it is an active skill like Risa's. And it actually fits her hero theme, who comes back from the brink with determination. Once again you can see who gets more care than others. It's just weird that the Marifag at WFS didn't try.
>>4316740>At the very least Megumin got a unique animation and an interaction with Tama.It makes it feel weird in a way too, because she does this cool unique animation and then it's just 3 SP to 31A only, While Wakki and Yanagi can give 6 SP to anyone. Sure, technically it's different because theirs is transfer and hers is like an SP orb, but when you're as a dev designing something like that, it's not the time to "well achkshually" yourself.
>>4316728>InorinNope. Depending on details it might be the second most usefull passive among this batch albeit niche. Dungeon running. Up to 6 sp refund
Didn't Ichiko get a passive from her new S style that raises attack by 10% for an Ohshima party? I guess if you keep stacking this shit she actually makes the party strong enough and can still defensively buff and enemy debuff in ways that make her viable in an Ohshima party no matter what element. Like right now she only has fire styles, but could still be used in the light party simply because she is there to enhance the rest.
>>431674610% attack increase is like 2% effective increase if the character is normally buffed, it's more of a cute nod than a skill that does anything. 10 stats are ok, nothing amazing, but nice to have if you have a slot for it.
>>4316734You still didn't realize this is just about giving players some random not at all impacting thing to grind? Because nothing works retroactively it's twice as dumb. It's one of those funny features that's maybe kinda cool for new players once they are all out, but for old players? Enjoy grind? There you go, something to do. Otherwise, ignore.I personally do not touch this menu whatsoever, because the moment you do it dumps a fuckton of resources into your inbox and I'd rather not have that shit wasted. The style exp / life stones can be more useful to have when you need to get an SS ready to max level ASAP than any of the passives could ever hope to be.
>>4316744Ok, I can maybe switch Maruyama and Inorin, but she is definitely not better than Hisame. l'll explain why.-Hisame's maximum SP gain through her skill is +6 (+1 for every party member). Inori's is +2. If there are three enemies, Hisame can raise 18SP overall. And all she needs to do is break DP. Inori at best, can regain +6SP for herself if she kills 3 enemies in a battle. Inori eats through SP like a glutton to properly buff herself, so it's not a very balanced. Hisame in the exact same scenario can give every basically a LB1 turn's worth of SP just by doing her job as Breaker. -Breaking DP is also way easier than killing enemies. If Hisame breaks DP and kills in one go, it makes no difference, but if Inori only breaks DP and doesnt kill she gains nothing.-Both skills are nearly useless against bosses, but at least Hisame CAN get +6SP overall in a boss fight. Inorin just straight up can't.So as you can see, Hisame > Inorin. And I think Ichiko is better simply because Ohshima parties are likely for her and she is geared towards that, while Inorin is an SP devourer who barely gets enough back to make this interesting.
>>4316755Are you stupid? The master skills arent in the accolade menu. They are in the character sheet. And all the lifestones will be useful for the grind you apparently think is too much. Not to mention all the quartz you will get.You also don't get character exp. The exp is all for your profile.I can tell you never opened it, because you have no idea how it works.
>>4316714You can do it easily in arena by fighting the bird >>4316700imoHisame > Mari > Inori > Ichiko > Maruyama > Carole Hisame's good for multi break bar enemies, wave, and arts battle. Her elec style with a similar effect is already good for skull feather hard mode. She just needs a style like sumomo's to be used properly in wave and arts. Though arts you already have enough SP with S Tama so it's probably not applicable there unless the A set rotatesDepending on how wave works, Mari can give 1 SP to C styles every fight. It's nothing flashy, but consistent enough. And in general it's just nice to haveInori's is potentially good for wave, but without knowing just how strong each wave is, I can't reliably say that the strategy is worth it. It can be amazing once she's given an Irene / Sumomo type style. And for dungeons you already get enough SP from the enchantments The stat buffers are just stat buffers. +10 at the highest level of content doesn't really amount to much anymore. You already have an orb skill that does a lite version of what Carole's does. Ichigo's version is also just better without having to waste a turn. They honestly should've given her a smallish multiplicative buff when she pulls the skill off. Honestly the only time you would ever use a skill like this is if you accidentally get broken during SA so you don't need to reset. (Though I will say, if Carole gets a style in the future with that trademark 31X DP cost skill that also drains a lot, it can be really useful)
>>4316801>You already have an orb skill that does a lite version of what Carole's does. Ichigo's version is also just better without having to waste a turnYou forget that she also gets 5 free SP for using it. Although 31X characters are the least needy when it comes to SP.It feels like a skill that intentionally keeps Carole in the front line with reckless abandon so she can use this. It's just universally more useful than situational and squad bound skills. Why would you ever play 31C for Mari's skill to be actually effective? You are only seeing the effect without the set up. The reason Hisame is so good is becaue her skill gives DP to any team. Carole's useful because it doesn't matter who she plays with, she can revive herself and get SP either way.I suppose it just depends on your philosophy and potential vs. practical use.
>>4316806>DP to any team*SP
>>4316700A question. If I use 5 tickets to do Hoju and take Hisame-Inori does one battle count for five or just one?
>>4316861No idea, but it probably counts as 5. The only limitation is that you cant do it passively in offline grind mode.Though Hisame's ult count goes by how much you actually use it, which means you can't cheese it.
>>4316761Your levels and anything else will remain where it is, till you open the menu, and automatically get all rewards. So yes, you can't get these skills if you do not open that menu, because you need lvl 5 at the very least.So.. are you stupid?>>4316801Pretty sure multi-break bar is not actually counting as multiple breaks. It says something different than "break" when you get through one. It's been so rare I don't remember it much though. You definitely don't get a free turn though, so it's not a break until all are gone.Anyways, new styles are mid. Light ST token user is okay, technically better than Monaka in ST, but who cares. Almost all of light is AOE.Sumomo is for FARTs, and ST and Attacker, so not interesting unless you whale lb3.
>>4317052Nope. Every time you rank up a character it tells you in the mission complete notifications. So it doesnt require that at all. But you sure ignored all the reason for why it is stupid not to open accolades! Good attempt.
>>4317052>Sumomo is for FARTsYou really undersell how much shit they put on her with this description. If she was aoe, she would probably be top 1 reroll character for the newfags.
I gotta be honest, these "girl had a troubled past, but then she realized she has friends by her side now, so it's all dajobu" resolutions are starting to feel really formulaic. Now I long for Maeda's events where he writes about some crazy shit.
>>4317104This has been set up for Sumomo for a long time at least. It was a gradual process across bond episodes, events etc. And it's generally more about the journey than the end result.
They always tease new story event by next event chara talking without any relevant to the story itself. So the next event will be Ai-chin's[/spolier] event.
>>4317135We already kinda knew because of the sprites. It's honestly kind of stupid, if she was going to get an event, why did they give her a style in the first half of the year instead of Iroha or Fubuki.
So the new Ichigo style is actually a token style. She gets more tokens the more enemies she hits regardless of what move she uses. I did wonder why her ult is so basic, but with token boost it does make sense. But that makes her new normal skill that raises token completely worthless on her other styles.Sumomo's ult can ignore resistances of any kind and gurantee criit... that's just pierce again, isn't it?
>>4317196Ichigo gives me the vibe of the style they have to release, but don't really care about. Maybe they have a new attacker gimmick already prepared, but they don't want to give it to her, so they just threw random tokens at her and called it a day.Sumomo, on the other hand, is a typical "someone at wfs forgot when to stop" case. Let's count with me what she has in her kit>resistance ignore>guaranteed crit>+30% HP damage increase>big attack self-buff>half cost on first ult use>skill use recovery on kill>self morale stacking on kill>big multi-hit on LB3You look at her, then at Ichigo, and it's like, what the fuck.
>>4317203This just kinda reflects the philosophy of Ichigo's styles. Big hit, nothing else. Even her strong fire style is just apply multihit buff -> AoE hit. It just works, but it has no gimmicks. This token style build up token to a big hit. It's basic, but effective. Light has enough buffers that will make it worthwhile to use at least. But the simplicity is still weird wih how experimental recent styles have been.
I'm only on DAY 2, but I can already say this with certainty. This Sumomo event is the very first post 5.1 event. The base is in autumn, Ichigo and Higumin have their special banter that they only developed in 5.1 and Ichigo is also fully acting as the leader.Maybe there will be even more evidence soon, but a 31B event is one of the very few that actually could give us such strong evidence of being post-5.1 as they went through big changes in it.What I find interesting is that Ruka seems very much her usual self in the event. So maybe her attitude doesn't change that much overall despite what happened.
>>4317239I think the last swimsuit event could also be after 5.1, based on some of the dynamics and that whole Yuki's confession scene. We didn't get to see the base in that one, so there's no way to confirm that though. It mostly depends on what Ruka's sword status quo is in 5.2, if it's not back then it's probably still pre-5.1.
Something that slightly annoys me is that the CGs in sepia tone have no colored version. This has been nagging me since Sharo's event where they used the colored version for the teaser, yet the game only has the sepia version. Why can't we get both in the gallery? If they hadn't shown a tiny scene at the end where Sumomo remember Jasmine in color I would never have known she was blonde with bolue eyes.
Ichigo's memory episode. That face is basically me every time I see Kanata trying to get more screentime. It was really funny. Good one.
Oh look they didnt forget 31D after all.
What the heck? I get the shop getting new types of items, but selling a single memory fragment is really pointless. Also for some reason you can buy dark matter for a SS1 upgrade without doingt the tower?? I think this one was for Higumin. Is it because the tower upgrades are too slow?
>>4317343The idea of these being in tower was really strange in the first place. Something like this should be easily available to everyone without having to jump through hoops.
>>4317345Dunno, they are not required and earning them is generally more interesting. But two of them every month is probably too slow.
>>4317346>Dunno, they are not requiredThey are kind of required for most of these skills if you actually want to use them in 2024. And even then some of them are still sad, but at least not as sad as without them. It's basically just buffs that they put behind the gameplay lock instead of actually buffing the skills properly.
>>4317349You could say the same about any upgrade, because they all rely on gameplay. It's not like towers are hard. But the fact that you have to beat a lower floor to reach a style upgrade at the top is annoying. Like what if I want the Isuzu or Irene upgrade but I dont wanna go through the other 10 before? They could definitely rework it. This "just sell them in a random event shop" solution is definitely a band aid though.
I wonder how these +stat master skills work with the rest of the +stat skills. In this game, any +/- stat skills are always replaced with the stronger ones instead of stacking. If the master skills work the same way, then they become worthless when you use dinner Koju, for example.
>>4317475Waifufags like you don't belong here.
Karen-chan was actually singing "come on baby" in Perseus. I thought it was just a random engrish gag, but she was referring to a song that hadn't even been released at the moment. Did they shuffle the order of the event releases by any chance? So, is Perseus really after 5.1? Yuki's calmer behavior, Tama's biri biri addiction, Karen-chan referring to a post 5.1 event's song.
>>4317593It's possible. But I don't think Karen-chan's line is actual evidence for that. For all we know she came up with those lyrics before the song was made.Externally, sure, Maeda probably made the entire album before Perseus even came out. So of course references to the songs could be anywhere.
Speaking of Come On Baby!, I LOVE the full version. It's so damn good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-ODzoy-ZnANo wonder Sumomo had it stuck in her head.
I beat Sumomomomomo's event! While I'm glad to see a 5.1 event that actually acknowledges change, I also feel like this is a story that could have been told in chapter 2's timeframe. It's very complimentary to Chapter 2/Requiem for the Blue.As an aside, I really love HiguIchi's dynamic in this. Especially in ways that go beyond the teasing. Higumin is still riling Ichigo up whenever she can, but there are moments that show she cares. When Sumomo ran off ignoring Ichigo's invitation, Hiugmin and Koju both gave Ichigo pitying looks. When on the battlefield, Higumin actually acts like a proper right handwoman to Ichigo and gets serious when the situatioin requires it. She acts sarcastic, but she 100% stood behind Ichigo's choices. Now for Sumomo, I honestly wish we had gotten all this characterisation earlier. It's so good. You could always kinda tell that she keeps her distance and killed off her emotions, but now it's way more nuanced. Her relationship with Jasmine is very different from what I imagined, but also not... if that makes any sense. Jasmine in general is way more genki girl than ojou-sama or innocent flower. It's a great contrast to Aoi.That scene where Sumomo had nightmares about how she was raised to be a killer against her will made me straight up nauseous... Sumomo's voice actress sold the hell out of all her lines. How can you make a "nya" speech quirk character sounds so genuinely devastated and serious? It takes insane talent to pull that off.Weirdly enough what stood out most about this event for me was once again Ichigo. I just love her character way too much. Ami always does amazing voice work, but Ichigo is just a goddamn main character playing side-character. The most defining moment is in the flashback of them as children where Sumomo killed someone for the first time after they tried to hurt Ichigo. "You kill them to protect me. That means we both killed them." Fucking tears in my eyes instantly.
31E sure has a lot of cameos in events. I swear they are in almost every event where a squad helps out or they get involved with the main squad somehow. In the main story they usually appear when all the squads appear, so I don't count that as major appearances. With main story appearances 31C just barely wins out. 31A obviously has the most major cameos in events (I dont count SiL concerts). This is the tally I counted:31A: 831B: 3 (5 with main story)31C: 4 (7 with main story)31D: 2 31E: 631F: 231X: 030G: 3 (6 with main story)31X just doesn't get to appear outside their own events. The most you get is individual cameos from their squad.
The height gap vs. attitude difference is amazing.
Sumomo seemed to be more like a pet to Jasmine. The event didn't show the Ichigo/Jasmine dynamic much at all, but when it came to the end it seemed like they were super close too, so I wonder if she felt similarly to how she feels about Aoi.
>>4316136Wow. So soon after the desperately glued to separate artworks together, someone actually made this exact art somehow??
Higumin throwing up after reading the flyer was the best.
Megumin's birthday means MeguTama art!
That new sad OST they used in this event is really unfair... Why does this game have so many amazing instrumental pieces that make you want to cry?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyn1j4sTPUEThis girl loves Megumin so much that she made an entire birthday stream for her where she just plays Megumin content. That's unhinged, but I respect it.
It's mama!
Am I crazy to think that they could actually confirm a side-couple and make it canon relatively soon? I seriously think Amari or something getting solidified wouldn't cause any issues at this point. It's not like side-characters appear regularly and there would be so much new stuff to explore for them.They... are going to make pairings canon... right?
>>4317318Thought about this and came to the conclusion that this is saved up for artbooks. They need some incentive to sell those.
>>4319557No. They are fine with the ambiguity of the situation as is. Except RukaYuki. They will become canon somewhere closer to the story end. Be grateful though it could have been much worse.
>>4319588Is there any reason to believe KareTsuka won't become canon? MeguTama I can kinda understand, because they have always been portrayed as a weaker pairing. Also a lot of the side-couples are pretty close to textual as is, so it would be weird to never pay that off... I know writers are notoriously scared of comitting to relationships, but the opportunities that a couple dynamic could create are definitely undeniable. They could do it for unpopular characters who waifufags don't really notice at least.
What exactly are the homescreen voicelines I see mentioned in the thread? I’m still in chapter 1, is it a feature I have yet to unlock?
>>4319660https://game8.jp/heavenburnsred/544213Styles with Live2D will say lines when you tap on them when set to your home screen. I don't think it's locked to any chapter but almost everyone would've been done with chapter 1 anyways by the time that came out. Just click the house icon on the left hand side of your home screen to change.
>>4319695Thank you
I still vastly prefer to have mediating Ruka on the homescreen in the room with the cat over some character constantly yapping at me to be honest. Especially if it's loud obnoxious characters like Karen-chan or Tama.I only change the homsescreen to test out new lines for new styles. Like the YukkiRuka unison has so many incredibly gay lines. Love it.
>>4319557>>4319589Amari is definitely an interesting case, because if they became a couple not much would change about their daily interactions, because they already act so in sync. But it would add a lot of new fuel to bond episodes and their minor appearances at the base. Seeing them try to be romantic and all.Unfortunately it can't happen until Mari at least reveals the truth to A-san, which seems to be something they are saving up.
Great cut-in pic. So cat like.
>>4319948>princess of tennisWow.
Hey anons, I'm trying to make a non-elemental party (because that's the only type I don't have) now that I got the new Sumomo.I don't quite know what kind of debuffer I should use for this though. Elemental debuffers are useless and fragile doesn't help either. Is there even anything beyond a basic defense down that would help? Should I use onsen Isuzu?
>>4320093Well, you came to the right place. This is my bruteforce team. Deals around 50kk damage to SA bosses lvl 140 in 8 rounds. Any SA bosses. Isuzu2 is really nice, ridiculously big debuffs with the sole drawback - becomes significantly weaker once dp is broken.
>>4320093Fragile does work, they still mechanically create a proper vulnerability for themselves when they attack. For now, people usually just use Isuzu, yeah. They'll probably release a specialized one later, there's enough units to justify that now.
>>4320100Hm, I don't really want to use Aoi and Kura's heal field can buff and sustain a bit, so I guess that's interchangable. Why do you have Isuzu and Megumin both in your team though? And is Yunyun better than Koju for this? I mostly wanted Koju for her SS1 SP buff ult because Inori eats through SP like snickers bars + the diner ult that buffs the team more.>>4320101>fragile does workI thought it only made enemies more vulnerable to elemental attacks...I'll try this team out in SA then. Thanks for the tips, both of you.
>>4320105Isuzu for def down debuffsMegumin for fragile. But I guess I can replace her with Fubuki.Yunyun for hitcount and damage buffs.Tama for mind's eye and crit buffsAoi is survivabilityInori - damage.Don't have Koju so can't say how effective her morale buff is.P.S. Yay! Remilia's theme from yuri doujin game gave me Gothic Sumomo for free!
Finally got the Jasmine story told to us. Reminds me of that fanfic about the same thing from years ago, which is now outdated.https://archiveofourown.org/works/40837026I like some parts better in the fanfic. But maybe that's just because the actual event focused more on present day. If you care about Ichigo's relationship to Jasmine more then I still recommend reading the fic.
Spoilers for 4.2
>>4318978I've been searching for it all day on youtube, but it's just impossible to find anything if you don't know the title. I don't believe nobody has uploaded the file yet!
>>4320644https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdQz0zZYNBshttps://www.amazon.co.jp/HEAVEN-BURNS-Original-Sound-%E5%AE%8C%E5%85%A8%E7%94%9F%E7%94%A3%E9%99%90%E5%AE%9A%E7%9B%A4/dp/B0DH81RNYQAlmost certainly going to be the one named Jasmine so only a month to go.
>>4320727THANK YOU! It's so good. This is probably my second favorite instrumental track in the game now.I have been looking for everything "instrumental" and I even got the album you linked, but for some reason the uploader didn't have this track. This really has an oldschool Key feeling to it. A lot of the other tracks on the OST are clearly MANYO stuff that reminds me of the FLOWERS VNs, but this kind of track is what's more uniquely Key.If there is ever going to be a vocal theme with this melody I will probably bawl.
Happy Halloween!
Am I completely misremembering that it was once said Sumomo picked up her cat speech after Jasmine's death? I'd check, but I don't even remember when that conversation happened.
>>4321102The only mention of her cat speech's origin is in her first memory episode, in which Ichigo says she is the one who told Sumomo to speak like that so she can be more sociable. We know that Sumomo already spoke this way during the Jasmine mission because in Requiem when Ichigo has the short flashback to Jasmine's death Sumomo screams with her "NYAAAAAAHHH" in response.
>>4320729This one's 100% Maeda, it feels like he tries to make more actual OST than before because this year he also made the Miya event track and the piano track in Operation Perseus (will probably have a vocal version for Part 3).
>>4321112I assume he also made Higumin's theme from chapter 5? I have noticed a sharp increase in new instrumental tracks this year. Compared to the first two years where we heard light years instrumental in basically every single sad scene that's quite the improvement.Right now my three favorite instrumental tracks are:-Light Years (instrumental)-Rest in Peace (instrumental)-White Spell (orchestral)This new sad OST from Sumomo's event's already rising to my favs though.
>>4321117I'm excited for chapter 5 part 2 and the potential Konomi solo song because Maeda always nails those.
>>4321141She hasn't gotten a single solo yet. I don't know if that will change. Maybe Maeda just prefers XAI's vocals.
>>4321144Considering next chapter is about Karen it's the best occasion to do it.Also yeah Maeda prefer XAI and never tried to hide it because he said he picked Konomi because higher ups wanted a big name.
>>4321146Oof, that's kinda harsh. For what it's worth I think Konomi and XAI have exceptional synergy and SiL wouldn't be as good without her.
"Hey remember how one of our good friends died because of this thing? And Megumi-san nearly died to fight that one! Good times."
Akari's VA announced an indefinite hiatus for her VA activities, I wonder what will happen now. Her voice is very memorable, and unlike the previous cases, she has gone through a lot of development before it happened, so it would be kind of awkward to recast her at this point.
>>4321696This stuff happens all the time with a voice cast this big. How unfortunate. Although I think it isn't that hard to replace her. She kind of just does a timid/scared voice all the time, which a lot of people can pull of.
So this is the pool of styles you can get from the guaranteed SS ticket. That's honestly really good. All the styles I still want are in here. All those meta styles I somehow missed too.
>>4321833I still remember the numberfags claiming ice Hisame is not good, but she turned out to be the best ice style in circulation right now.
>>4321845>Best in the worst typeWhat an accomplishment!!! The queen of trash.
>>4321861Rude
>>4321845Do you really need someone to tell you every time that people said Hisame is an underwhelming resistance remover, not an overall bad unit? Sharo and Tsukasa are amazing units that enable thunder and dark to be god tier. Hisame is an okay unit that allows you to play ice more.
>>4321861That's a weird way to spell Light.
>>4321833Damn, that line up is really good. Of course, I can already tell I'm going to get either a dupe Aoi, dupe Yunyun, or Inorin.
>>4322025>"Where you hiding those gems?"Irene Redmayne and Jamie... would have been a nice ship. Too bad about how it ended.
>>4321881Light is pretty good now (if you play aoe), but so is ice ST if you ignore year 3 styles. The old ones play a much more comfortable team and are barely worse offensively.
Are master skills bugged or something? I did FlatHands with the weekly tickets and Satomi, but only my badge got validated, even though the master skill had the same requirements.
>>4322230Wrong Flathand...
>>4322232Thanks, it was the other one, it slipped my mind they were 2. Yeah, makes much more sense it would be the first one...
>>4322230Can someone tell me how to find this master skill menu? I must be too stupid
>>4322242It's literally on any character's style. First page above their skills...
>>4322244Oh only in the team compositions? Or is it literally anywhere else where you might want to upgrade a character?
>>4322248You cant select characters skills anywhere else but in the party set up menu....
Weren't they going to redesign characters screens next week? So don't pay much attention to how things are right now.
>>4322249Characters get new skills in the style upgrade menus, too. I already found it weird that you can only use skill guides in the team menus as well.
>>4322253The style upgrade section isn't where you select said skills for combat, so it's pretty obvious what I meant. You literally only had two options... try both.
>>4322255I didn't even say anything about selecting it. When I want to gain a new skill for a character, I don't get the idea that I have to put her in a team first. Yes, it was obvious what you meant when you said "above their skills". I wasn't complaining about your answer because it actually helped me. I was complaining about the menu layout in this game.
>>4321833Dupe Akarin...I literally only have 8/37 and and yet I get a dupe.
>>4322483Impressive! But at least Akarin is a very good unit.
>>4321833And I got a swimsuit Adel dupe. Such a shame, considering this pool had everything I still needed, yet I got nothing.Oh well it was free and swimsuit A-san isn't useless at least. I avoided the worst case of getting Chiroru or Kanata.
I'm yet to see even 1 fanart of Sumomo and Jasmin. Or even just Jasmin. Not sure what it speaks about but can't be good. Although writers were pretty clear that it was just friendship.
>>4322660Well there was this one that I already posted. >>4317785To be honest the event was way more focused on Ichigo and Sumomo with Jasmine just being the second layer to Sumomo finding happiness.
Lolita senpai made just a short cameo where she rated Sumomo's lita level. She would be so happy to see her new style.
By the way, turns out Jasmine is not voiced by Aoi's VA. That is really surprising to me, they sound very similar.
>>4321833Of all of these 37 styles, I managed to get a dupe of the single one at LB4 that doesn't help me at all. It was Magician Isuzu, so I'm not exactly mad about it, just disappointed it ended up pointless.
>>4322899>LB4 magician IsuzuJust how hard did you pull on that banner? It's too recent for you to have naturally accumulated those...
>>4322900I ended up lucking out and got 5 copies of her within 200 rolls, so sparking for the 6th and using SS pieces got her to LB4.

>>4317785>>4323029Haven't seen these, thanks
Still no release date for the EN server, but it can be expected in the next two months. Still thinking about how to compensate for newcomers. Been pushing it off for a while, but it's getting kinda close.Maybe we can at least agree on that 1 month buffer where we spoiler tag everything we talk about. Also maybe we need to make a newcomer guide so that we don't have to repeat the same advice over and over.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbW8RQBouz4>Why do you sink ve'll keep ze C?! YOU get ze C!I died from cringe. Will be shitposting from hell now.
>>4323537I dont understand localizers obssession with trying to make foreign girls have accents that they didn't have in the Japanese version. I cant even face the terror of what they will do to 31X.The JP version has them all talk with perfect Japanese except for Carole who actually does have an accent.... Please stop doing this crap Yostar.
>>4323547They tried to imitate the stereotypical German mad scientist from the movies, but it's not clever or funny, it's just unnecessary and fucking cringe.By the way, I really forgot about Seira's god thing.
>>4323562Wakki isn't even German though? Bon is not a German suffix and Ivar makes very clear she is either Russian or eastern bloc heritage. And Adel-chan literally is always praised for her perfect Japanese, so why would they give her of all the girls an accent?>Seira God thingHonestly same. I guess we would explore that in her event... whenever that happens.
>>4323537Shitty speech quirk changes aside, that Tenne seraphim code still hits super hard in English. Way too cool. And they kept A-san's dumb Engrish one too.
>>4323566>Wakki isn't even German though? It's an embarrassing "I'm so clever" kind of localization. Yamawaki larps as a tokusatsu-like mad scientist, but tokusatsu isn't widespread enough in the West, so they localized it into a common mad scientist archetype from Western super agent/spy/adventure movies instead. It's another one of those moments where you can just translate it 1 to 1 and it'll be fine, but whoever's the translator wants to show off how smart they are and do some weird shit instead. Like lady's maid and phage(both thankfully reverted) or chosen one(hopefully reverted, but we don't know yet).
>>4323591That reminds of how they turned the HeroKanbu into "Superwomen in love" or something in the localization. It is literally a tokusatsu parody/homage, so keep the dang terms. It's not even like Wakki spams specific terms or anything. It's all basic stuff like evil organisation or familiar. Stuff that doesnt even need alternate terms to be understood.
>>4323537Maybe there is hope after all. They let Mari use chan here. So it seems they aren't completely opposed to using honorifics.
>>4323630That makes sense. Only certain characters should be using honorifics after all.
>>4323671Uh.. yeah. The characters who do in the Japanese version. Which we already know isn't happening for all of them. It's completely random.
>>4323849>>4323850>>4323851For crying out loud bot, all this art is ancient and has been posted dozens of times. At least when other anons repost art they do it alongside a comment.
Oh, they hit the free Ruka milestone. Now it won't be as embarrassing as it initially looked like.
>>4324195At this rate it will hit the 200k threshold in a week or two.
:3
>>4324199Advertising matters. Hopefully they'll do a bit more before launch so it won't be dead on arrival.
https://x.com/heavenburnsred/status/1854116520252653874The new info about the main story is finally tomorrow. Hopefully not a nothingburger.
