>Soooo...i'm watching Gap, right?
>And i'm supposed to assume that Sam is autistic?
Yes she's a giga autist, it's part of her charm.
>>
Huh, I thought Aubrey Plaza was gay
>>
>>4354970
Is this gonna be like 90% of japdramas that never get subbed or you have to pay some scumbags to get subtitles?
>>
>>4354970
Love Live!'s drama was so bullshit. The yaya was totally in love with MC but
>best friend
Then again, that's what Love Live! has always been. So irritating.

>Us
What's this? Searching アス ドラマ gives me nothing.
>>
>>4355294
>Us
アス ドラマ gives you nothing because it's Thai. Searching by "(series name) the series GL" should give accurate results.
Announcement trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4k1FH1Z2Lg
Final trailer should drop on Sunday or Monday as Pluto ended today and Us will take its timeslot. Next Saturday they'll air a special program, probably a making of, idk. and the first episode will air on the 18th.

I'm overwhelmed by all the Thai series around, I stopped after GAP.
>>
>>4355499
GAP was the the first TH series, so you've only watched one show?
>>
Good evening onee-sama, how was de Live action of Ayaka is in love with Hiroko? Is it worth it? Did it adapt the whole story?
>>
>>4355499
Like onee-sama said Gap was the first one, you lazy ass. The ones worth checking out are Gap (good but has ugly stuff because it was the first one), Blank (age gap, gets really good after 3-4 eps), Apple (surprisingly cute), Reverse 4 You (cute with a touch of violence), The Secret of Us (lovers to enemies to lovers), The Loyal Pin (princess and low rank royalty set in 50's Thailand), Pluto (best quality and story GL). Mate is currently airing and pretty good too.
If you like all or any of those THEN you should check out other Thai series because storywise, they're inferior to the ones above.

>>4355717
It did, with minor changes, like Hiroko's sempai had a lesser role in the present. Shame Hiroko was a turbo virgin till the end.
Overall it was pretty good like, no men meddling, no shitty things, just plain good lesbianism.
Japan is changing its live action yuri for good. Since 2024 it features actual lesbians, AyaHiro and Chase Game W (specially the 2nd season) show a good social shift, even if it is in fiction, it's good. I hope Call me by No-name follows the trend.

Just watched this. It was pretty cute. Bad end, of course, but had some nice moments in it. Main girl is super cute, too.

>Shame Hiroko was a turbo virgin till the end.
Ayaka was played by an idol and it was already risky enough to allow her to play a lesbian (maybe a schoolgirl lesbian would be OK depending on the context). Probably the staff didn't want to receive death threats

It's just natural selection at this point.
Full bislut shit. Shasendou was the less bad in that infamous non-yuri anthology but this shit is at the same level of Aizawa.

Thai domination is indisputable now, and they just released the new Freenbecky pilot...its over.

IdolFactory (the company that made Gap, Dream and The Loyal Pin) just announced 7(! GL series, one of them being a GL survival reality show called In The 8ight.

Somewhere Somehow is set in Japan (at least partially, haven't read the novels yet) and the theme song is in Japanese. Trailer looks cute AF, and the romcom theme suits the main actresses. The director (same as Gap and Dream) will have his chance to redeem his crappy execution in Dream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p7jy0lF5ZA

Cranium with FreenBecky got the biggest budget for the trailer. The director is the one who did The Loyal Pin, he's really good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgbQKzoliY4

The other four series are adaptations of a book series from author Salmon named after the elements, each novel focuses on one sister and her love interest. No cast announced yet but each main couple will be portrayed by "top GL couples" from IDF and other companies. The rumored ones are FreenBecky, Englot, FayeYoko and LingOrm.
Shit is ambitious as fuck and if it all gets done and released it will be damn huge.

These are all proyects for 2025 but with so many series, Cranium won't be the only one to premiere on 2026.

BTW Thai lesbian media domination is real, the girls from Apple My Love will have a fanmeeting in Brazil on Jan 30th.

whats wrong with this? isnt it romantic to pick up a girl from the trash
>>
>>4359130
>Full bislut shit.
So what the story it is adapted from is about?
>>
>>4360529
It's kinda like gay Rumpelstiltskin. I mean, there's name guessing. No babies being bartered though. Below are spoilers for the first two episodes I think. Based on what I've seen on Twitter screencaps.

Basically the main character Megumi used to be known as a good Samaritan but stopped being as selfless due to a certain incident. One day, she finds the other girl Kotoha in the trash. Kotoha's been thrown out and Megumi reluctantly lets her stay for one night. Kotoha tries to pay her back with sex which is when Megumi finds out she's been freeloading at places by paying with sex. They don't have sex though. Instead, Megumi plays Elden Ring (or Dark Souls idr). The next day, Megumi sees Kotoha and some guy in an argument. The guy's like 'come back kotoha we r in love' and kotoha just looks uncomfortable. Megumi gets in between them and stops the fight. Later, Megumi tells Kotoha that she shouldn't be paying for lodging with sex since it's dangerous or whatever. Kotoha gets up on Megumi's ass for meddling and says she'd only accept that shit if Megumi was her lover. But Megumi doesn't want to date. She just wants to be friends. Kotoha proposes that they only date temporarily until Megumi can guess Kotoha's real name. Apparently Kotoha's name (all of it not just her first name) isn't her real name. She changed it for some reason. So the story is about them dating and Megumi investigating (?) why Kotoha changed her name and what it used to be.

It's been a while since I read the original novel but that should be accurate. My overall impressions of it at the time were that it's more of a mystery than it is a romance. But the director did say in an interview that they changed some things so who knows maybe the romance will be more balanced with the mystery for the TV series.

Spoiler about the name. Not the name itself but just crossing out one reason for name change.
Surprisingly, it isn't because she's trans.

The skeptical part of me thinks this will end like typical old-school yuri. I'm definitely going to hold off on this
>>
>Bloody Axe Wound (2024)
>Abbie Bladecut's family business, a video store, has thrived by disposing of teenagers to mimic horror movies. As the first female slasher, she battles gender bias while realizing the harsh realities behind the mass murders.

It starts two of the kids from the TV show "A.P. Bio." It's a horror slasher, so expect kills and gore. It's a very quickly paced movie, so the "battling gender bias" doesn't last very long. She falls in love with a target, and plot happens.
As for the ending the love interest is killed by the Slasher Dad. He always seems to return from his grave, and his grave is dug up at the end. The shot right before credits shows that the love interest has been revived and crawled out of the grave
>>
>>4362477
I'm not big on horror and need some level of enjoyable outcomes in them like It's a Wonderful Knife and the Fear Street trilogy. Having the love interest return appeases me somewhat but I don't know if it would be enough.

I like Call Me by No Name so far. The will they-won't they, mistery, and domesticity in their dynamic are very appealing.
There's some tvkino shots too, not your average Japanese TV.

>>4362311
From the series excerpt on MDL, citing as source the Japan Program Catalogue:
>A new-generation girl's love story surging with clumsy feelings and heartbreak from a time-limited relationship.
Yeah, it reads like bad end but still gonna keep watching.
>>
>IMAGINE trying to sell to /u/ a show about a literal used goods type of bislut.
By now the infiltration by /a/ is a reality.
>>
>>4355773
I watched The Secret of Us and the last few episodes kind of soured it for me. The leads were pretty though. Going to give Pluto a try now and right from the get-go I already like how many episodes this has. The leads are also pretty in this.

I recently started watching TV shows again and went back to check on all the American ones I didn't keep up with and the results were unsurprisingly, disappointing. That one Mexican telenovela that popped off long ago was also disappointing. I'm glad started watching Thai GLs though.
