I don't get why it's so hard for /v/ to grasp that personal projects are driven almost entirely by passion. The drive to work is completely non-transferable. There is never a case of "aw man it's such a waste they didn't work on X and Y instead of Z" because the fact of the matter is that if they weren't working on something for Z, that work just would not be able to exist.

The answer is always just "they found this fascinating" and there's nothing that could have been done to get that same talent to work on something else instead, because the talent just flat out dissipates when one tries to apply it to something else that doesn't have that draw to it.

Resident Evil 0 just feels like you're making a mistake the whole time. It's a decent video game but everything feels like an accident. Swapping characters, leaving items, even going places just feels like a mistake.

I'm still in genuine shock that the bat boss exists.
What's that? A boss that's constantly flying around? And it has a bunch of smaller flying minions harassing you? And your auto aim will constantly lock onto them? And you can't disable auto aim in this shitty game? And the minions also respawn after a few seconds so killing them is an active waste of time and ammo? And you can't even use your partner as bait because the game forces you to fight every single boss solo, except for the final boss and the 2nd Proto Tyrant fight (who literally doesn't even have a single file or anything about him in the game he just shows in cutscenes and that's it, shit I'm getting off topic I hate this game so much)

I loved Warioware Twisted. Wario has the coolest friends and minigames and motion gimmicks. Jimmy, Nine Volt, Ashuree, and that weird dude Fez or whatever his name was.

The 2D platformers were hit or miss and I can't even get into the modern wave of indie clones like Antonblast. I was gonna try Shake It! but I think it wouldn't click again and Smooth Moves on emulator would be so rough.

Good times, I wanted to play vanu but my friend insisted we play the glue eaters. I do miss it.

I remember playing TR back then, going with a jetpack and shotgun solo and sneaking behind enemy lines to their sunderer and spawncamping like crazy. Getting like 30+ kills.

Even in the big fights, coming from weird angles with the ability to fly around could clear a front that has been hard stuck for 30 minutes. I wonder why so few other people did this.
