Never got into gacha before mainstream hoyoslop, couldn't get invested when it was all mobile flash games. I'll say Genshin has gameplay, shallow pandering gameplay that neuters itself so that most casual retard doesn't accidently feel challenge. Even then though, it's polished and feels satisfying to smack shit around and traverse the world. I love Teyvat's map so much, and I think someone would be hardpressed to find a game with a map as big and diverse as Genshin's by the time Teyvat chapter wraps up.People write off Genshin's world design because the overworld gameplay is simple and pretty shallow, but I think that applies to 9/10 open world games and the gameplay is still fun and satisfying to me after 4 years. It just sets a constantly evolving backdrop for the story and lore that is impressive in its scope and execution. I like rollerblading around and smacking hilachurls.
