Said I would post about it so I'll say I'm enjoying Evenicle so far, still early on but combat is nice and fast, I just hope dungeons get more complicated. Also I find it kind of neat how the game is in 16:9 but when you ignore the status bar you notice it's actually in 4:3.I know a lot of people here bitch about Aster and his personality being blander than a slice of bread but I think he's fine, I like how simple his design is and appreciate him being a sperg who doesn't know anything about sex. Still haven't learned ice, light, or dark magic either.They mention Kathryn is a tactician so she's definitely coming with a lot of buffs, Aster is fine since he has a skill that adds +2 attack anyway but defense could come in handy and give the game an excuse to make enemies more challenging. Though I do also want stuff like charge attacks being used as a warning to start guarding rather than being able to tank everything with Kath. Maybe she'll only do +1 and have a high BP cost to keep things interesting.Also I'm still in chapter 2 but there's only been one rape scene so far, with all the people on Steam whining about how there's so much edgy rape and how that's the worst thing ever I was expecting a lot more, it's been entirely vanilla so far. I guess it's not surprising since Steam users complain about less so whatever. There's also the PC-98 backport by Babajeanmel based off of that rework which did a bit of retranslation, but nothing major. Maybe the ending is more fixed?That reminds me, Policewoman VX got translated and this time a windows version is included for the emulation averse. Definitely reads like a French person translated it though, but it's more a bit odd at times, rather than hyper ESLisms. The game itself is a short TADA original to fill up some diskette space for Rance I.

Started chapter 3 but decided to explore instead of advancing, found skills I missed, bonus dungeons, side quests, and decided to fight a superboss.I assumed these were meant for late game and ended up ignoring them but tried this one, the gimmick is the boss has 100% evade rate, meaning physical attacks are impossible to land. Additionally it's basic attack is weak but multi-hit, so Ramius guard is necessary. I thought you were supposed to change Aster to a magic build and spam his lightning but even then his output would be low as zap deals small damage, meanwhile thunderstrike with magic boost does slightly more damage than a basic attack but takes 2 BP.Then I remembered Aster has a skill that always lands physical in exchange for 1 BP, which also gives the opportunity to use attack buffs, surpassing magic damage for less cost. Anyway Aster and Riche alone aren't enough to kill it at this level unless I buy expensive healing items.I left out that the boss has a stronger attack that randomly hits the party four times, bypassing Ramius guard. There's no warning/charge for this like with other bosses, however the boss stuns itself afterward, dropping evade to 0% and allowing phys attacks until it recovers. Problem is this skill seems random so you don't know when to defend, but if you pay attention you'll notice it's done every three turns, finalizing the strategy:>Ramius uses guard to protect party, recast at +1 guard, defends>Aster buffs to +4 attack, recast at +2 attack, spam accuracy skill to land attacks>Riche spams magic crash and flame arrow (weakness)>Gurigura defends>before third turn entire party defends to lower damage>while enemy is stunned everyone uses their strongest skills, Aster uses basic to save BPI used both my heals and almost reset after Riche died but Ramius ended up beating it anyway. I definitely could've had an easier time and I disabled Gurigura's attack boost for covert movement, but either way it's a very well designed boss.

Important part is that while it still ended optimistically it was a lot darker than the prior two, I hope it continues getting darker. Seeing them explore human/kalar relations was interesting too. Pancho and Lorenzo were the only ones who tried advancing it due to their love for each other but everyone else ended up viewing each other as a prostitute or sperm bank, developing the "all kalars are sluts" stigma which lead to Lorenzo getting sexually harassed whenever she went to the city, and mixed with the general fear people had of kalar mysteries and curses. Evenicle ch.4 clear, going to try keeping this post a bit shorterThis chapter focused on Humpty, a set of islands so focused on cuisine that knights are below chefs in terms of importance, and Jabber, the top chef of the country who openly works with Snake Crest. Kichi is an amazing game but it's really dated with some retarded game design decisions. Like monster in dungeons either not spawning at all or spawning each and every floor for 10 floors straight. Battle ai is also somewhere in between, they will target your fragile backrow when those are concentrating for powerful attack but will gladly throw themselves on your max defence front, exchanging your 20 troops for their 400 repeatedly. Also there is so much very obscure things here and there, game was most likely intended to be played in a community, sharing your findings and seeing what others did. But unfortunately this is no longer viable in modern day, especially if you are not japanese. And playing by wiki is just retarded since you get all the spoilers beforehand. So I will probably just lube it up a little bit with cheat engine sprinkled here and there, but not too much, since it's still just fun to play normally.

Focusing not just on physical descriptors of the sex but also lewd dialogue that gets recited between both characters or their internal thoughts setting the stage for the next evolution in their relationship later on (A good example would be Saya where the barrier/pretext of her surrogate motherhood gradually breaks down as she replaces her husband with Mamoru in her heart and you get to see how her words and feelings are out of sync)In Rance for instance you'd never see stuff like that because Rance is too aggressive and child-like to develop that kind of emotional connection with basically any heroine or even if he felt that way he'd never voice it because it's outside of his personality to show that type of vulnerability. If any of the heroines even gets to voice or monologue such feelings for him it's always one-sided or receives a half-assed affirmation of "That's good". There are some scenes in IX in particular where you get stuff similar to what I'm describing but most of the time the H feels like it comes and goes too fast for it to develop. Kichi feels so long to finish. I know that next playthrough will be much faster since you can skip most of the text but it still feels so long because of how much stuff is happening in such a short amount of time, so many decisions to make.

If you play the game with the intention of missing nothing, then you will be far too powerful for 80% of it.

>>475109358It's not even that hard to begin with once you get familiar with how things work. You mostly get set back by random events, not the difficulty. Enemies are big and strong but they all have finite number of commanders, and those few that do respawn are too weak to matter.I don't even cheat for combat at all, I mostly give myself more city points since those are in huge deficit, refund myself a point in something if it's wasted without any way of knowing it's gonna be wasted, like a dialogue with commander that I already seen, or... that's pretty much it. Also I gave myself an item back that was equipped on Milli and then she collapsed but item does not returns back after that, it's completely gone and you can't have it back anymore. I tried levy the location again, none, checked the table it's completely gone and show as not found. That's just stupid game design.I haven't cheated for gold or for battles not even once yet.
