I kinda discovered the severe issue with good commanders in kr. I mean you can technically beat the game with the starting pack if no one dies. But other than them it's very hard to get just a decent officer who is more than average.Mages and archers - Isoroku and Shizuka, nothing else up until zeth. Knights - Lelyukov at best and he is absurdly expensive to raise the troop count. Kaiju prince - fuck this motherfucker, it's been 7 turns since I crushed helman and only now this green scale ass decided to show up. Hanny king is better but literally eats gold. Mercenaries are the only decent option and they too et gold instead of food.
And gandi I forgot that even exist. And if going for events and endings you cannot get him in some playthroughs until zeth too.

I think that I might give Beat Blades Haruka one last try. I'm convinced that I hate the game, but I can't bring myself to delete it for two reasons. The first is that it is the best supply of emergency porn that I have. When you are without internet, it is perfect. The second and most insidious is that you aren't qualified to have an opinion on the game until you have beaten it four times.
