part of what it comes down to is we waited at least a year on what was, by that point, an explicit continuation of miquella’s storylike had it been part of the base game i would’ve just been “oh this narrative is really clunky and awkward, that sucks”. instead of two years and a half of hoping miquella and malenia’s plotline would be wrapped up in a way that did justice to their stories beyond just paying lip service to the themes of the gameand we have been *explicitly* told by interview material that they structured the story of the dlc around the fact that they didn’t want to impede on the gameplay experience of the base game, with regards to needing npcs or bosses alive in the base game and such.which absolutely impacts how poorly the story lands. anything that cannot be resolved within the lands of shadow cannot be resolved at all. you cared about the implications of the needle trade, the haligtree, the cleanrot, the war in general? i want to believe that fromsoftware did as well but just genuinely did not have the time, space, or ability to address it…which is really frustrating and i think another example of how elden ring’s story is just too big for itself.

Miquella has a ring on his finger. It's also the only limb miquella kept so that ring is important. In his final scene he's praying about radahn being his consort while having that ring on. He also says radahn did indeed make a vow and promise to him. It's very possible that this ring is either an engagement ring or a promise ring either given to miquella by radahn, or miquella made himself to always remind himself of the promise he and radahn made to eachother.

When fighting Radahn, you can basically just ignore a couple of his gravity attacks by just going into the Palm Blast charge and hyper armoring through the pull or other stuff. You'll take pretty minimal damage unless it's his actual gravity crash attacks.

I usually think people complaining about fromsoft bosses are just bad, but there has been a trend with boss design I have noticed recently that i didnt have a problem with, and that is that there is a lot of trial and error to the bosses where a boss is doing a DBZ power up ability and i say out loud "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT" and its some giant aoe move that does 90-100% of my HP in damage, and the only way to avoid it was to run away. Or a move that has a rollcatch so if you roll normally you still get hit, and its like, OK now i know for next time, and i learn the boss slowly as I die from trial and error.People will say "bosses have always been trial and error" but thats not really true, i dodge delayed attacks the first time i see them regularly, and when i die its because i got greedy. Midra for instance i dodge his delayed attacks the first time i saw them, then he does some giant AOE move that looks like it takes the whole arena and it kills me and i had no idea what to even do the first time he did the thing.Then you have some enemies like the horned knights where he shifts his weight and you think hes going to swing but he jumps to his side and jumps into you, hitting you with his shoulder. I had no idea he could do that until he did it, and was waiting for the cue of his arm moving to know when to dodge.There are a lot of "GOTCHA" attacks in elden ring that are just bad design, I say this despite thinking elden ring has some of the best bosses in souls. People seem to take it for granted that they will have to learn from trial and error and just put up with dying like that though.Its ironic because i think that things like the godskin heal punish, and crystilian AI, were actually fair before the nerf, and the nerf kinda ruined them.
