If it's Gut he might show up at the goblin camp. If you manage to avoid any of his more common trigger points he'll just come to your camp directly. I have a mod that for some reason makes the speak with the dead amulet once per day and you can only reuse it for 10 mins or until short rest and its kind of annoying with how many speak with the dead options there are early on.
