I’m still partial to that theory that Numen are a bunch of Nox silver(golden) tears that got stuck up on the surface while the Nox got stuck underground, and Marika is part of the race of lords the Nox were trying so hard to make. The Numen were the result of the Nox making a Lord. The Numen on the surface were used as sacrifices, as their existence was heresy, but their flesh still useful. The former GW worshiping civilization made use of it. The ‘Marika’s Mischief’ + ‘Toothed Whip’ items more or less confirm it.Numen stick together like blobs, and the silver tears are blobs falling apart. When we find the Eternal Cities the silver tears are all falling apart. The night maidens + other Nox enemies are simply cosplaying as the culture that made them, putting on their clothes, using their weapons, etc.What I can’t discern, is Marika’s relation, or connection, to the black knife “scions” of the Eternal Cities. Another possibility is that the Numen are the original, and silver tears are made in mockery of their malleable flesh. What’s with the name ‘shaman’ though?

I think the least retarded explanation is that Miquella, Malenia, and Radahn all agreed to make a kinder world, and the ritual specifically required a god and lord and so couldn't be done without him. The damage is actually pretty good if you ever get the opportunity to do a full r1 chain combo, the last twin palm hit is quite strong. Obviously rough to get that many attacks off against most bosses though. Also, while the jump R2 is great the charged R2 shouldn't be overlooked, especially for dayne's weapon which has a nice overhead kick with really good tracking on the charge R2
