Sunny is such a bland and forgettable character.He hardly has any proper dynamic with any of the other characters except maybe Basil (the friend-group wouldn't really change if Sunny wasn't there), his impact on the vast majority of the plot is negligible (Kel is the driving force of the entire Aubrey-plotline, while Sunny is just kinda there and doesn't contribute anything of note) and the majority of his personality are basically informed attributes that aren't reflected in the way he actually behaves throughout the game.He doesn't really have anything going for himself other than HS and even that is in it's vast majority (especially BS) to undefined, ambiguous and cryptic to make reliable deductions on Sunnys character.

One aspect of OMORI's story I found particularly sloppy is the whole storyline of recovering Basil's stolen photo album... which is also the storyline of Faraway Town in general lmao.Like. You'd think the efforts to track it down and fight Aubrey for the ownership would form the bulk of the game's plot, but nope! Aubrey just throws it out at the end of Three Days Left and you get it out of the garbage bin she threw it into without breaking a sweat! Then the game kinda forgets about the last missing bunch of photos (Kel just says "well, maybe Aubrey has the rest" when Hero points out they're not in the album before the subject is dropped altogether) until One Day Left, when they're similarly retrieved without any trouble.Not only is the problem essentially resolved on the very same day it was introduced into the plot, it also doesn't feel like any of the main characters face any kind of significant diffculties during their quest. They didn't solve the problem through their own grit and gumption, tney just fucked around in the town for some time before the game resolved the problem for them.
