It's ok; definitely better than the included soft strap, but also not amazing. I was hoping for at least better audio, like the index speakers. Still sounds fine but not as good. IMO it's probably better 3d printing the vive deluxe audio strap adapter and getting one of those, or some chink quest 2 strap of which there are many.I'm also experimenting with https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6408723 which gives you the regular gasket shape resting on your forehead and cheeks instead of pressed into your eye sockets and nose bridge like the official gasket. I actually think it is better overall; not as svelte obviously but makes anatomical sense. I didn't have an actual vive or quest 2 foam thing so I used foam clay, which isn't actually that soft, plus I need to reprint it in black PLA, but I think it's on the right track. You can definitely get slightly more FOV out of the headset and even the sweet spot feels larger, when you're not constrained to however they lined up the official 3d scanned gasket. So while the bigshit definitely isn't perfect, it's still my daily driver, and I still recommend trying it, if you have the cash and don't want zucc to subsidize you.

It is semi-sandbox and lets you hop around the different planets that make up Battletech's setting to do story missions alongside proc-gen ones. It's similar to Vox Machinae if you played that with an emphasis on hit locations that you can blast off on high TTK robots. I'd say it's worth the Steam sale price, the DLC works with CreamAPI. The base game is kind of mid but the DLC (Heroes of the Inner Sphere especially) and some of the mods like Vonbiomes, TTRulezAI, and of course the VR mod really make it for me.

It was glitchy as fuck and crashed a lot but the early balance of the game was so generous with loot losing all your crap every hour or so was no problem. Plus you could glitch past the tedious garbage quests with some exploits. They patched the generous loot and quest exploits, and I heard the patched the crashes too but on first wipe I crashed second raid and just quit the game for good. Looking through my webms the first half are gameplay fun moments, the second half of my folder is just a crash montage.Overall it's recommended but I don't know what it's like now. You really need some reliable friends to make the most of it though since a small competent squad just obliterates everything around them. Id recommend it to go through the same cycle of 'wow killing children is fun' into 'okay this is getting samey'.

The old map is monolithic instead of being divided into seperate areas and the sense of scale it creates makes it noticably more immersive. There's also weather variation that is sorely missed in the final version of the game.
