Yeah, whatever they add to Khorne is basically irrelevant it's still just a pile of violence army, I don't care.

Orcs similarly, I like them a fair bit but I just don't think whatever they add is going to matter they're already super strong and have shitloads of options. Maybe a partial rework on some of their more boring LLs could be fun but I don't need to pay money for that.

Ogres though, I play a lot even though they're unbelievably ass, I'm going to be all over that dlc and associated rework.

Yes, the 25% physical resistance is built into his lord. This will allow you to scale quite dramatically.

Be'lakor has 20% physical resistance and 25% missile resistance
Archaon's lord effect grant him 5% ward save
Louen starts with 15% ward save
Fay Enchantress starts with 15% ward save
Belegar has a 75% shield
Thorek has 130 armour
Taurox has 130 armour
Astragoth has 130 armour
Malekith has 20% physical resistance and he is a mortal
Azazel has 25% physical resistance whilst most Daemons only have 20% physical resistance
Malus Darkblade has 2 healthbars and is reinforced by physical resistance based on his faction mechanic
Tamurkhan refuses to die the first time and will in fact kill you out of spite
Deathmaster Snikch has 30% physical resistance and he is just a rat

Always remember to assess your lord's stats when beginning a new campaign.

They could have done so much more with Kostaltyn if they hadn't dumbed down all of Kislev's lore for no reason.
If instead of, or better as well as, having the Orthodoxy they also had way more stuff from Kislev's original lore, we could have had each of Kislev's 4 major gods get their own dedicated units. These already existed in lore, Realm of the Ice Queen and other such books give tons of useful stuff on Dazh, Tor, Salyak and Ursun. Kislev could have easily had 4 different Warrior Priest equivalents, one for each god, plus the Patriarchs we already got.
In fact, I think it would have been a good way to include a bunch of pseudo-mages for Kislev without breaking Kislev's lore by having casters that aren't Ice Witches or Hag Witches.
A priest of Tor for example could get some lightning themed Heavens spells as bound spells, on top of getting battle prayers. Same for Ursun and Beast magic, Salyak and Life magic, Dazh and Fire magic.
And there's other god-aligned units Kislev could have gotten. Dazh Firebirds would give Kislev some air presence, non-Chaos Ursun Werebears could give them some monster infantry etc.
It really feels like they just sort of stuck Kostaltyn in the game without having a plan for him and without any real content he could call his own.

They're in a tough spot right now. Gitchy movement scripting and invisible map artifacts make it really hard to get them to shoot. Best you can usually do is a front like of small foot heros and a backline of guns.

Cavalry can do the same thing but are actually good at fighting non-fleeing enemies. Skarbrand starts with one units of dogs and they are really helpful but I would much prefer Marauder Horsemen or Flesh Hounds.

They get new active and passive abilities that make it so that, as long as your weak infantry are supported by lords or heroes, your infantry are a lot tougher.
Plus the standard more elite elite units so Greatswords feel better, and cavalry hit harder in SFO. For example Reiksgaurd in SFO have more than double the hitpoints and feel actually elite, they're more expensive to compensate but they're way more fun to use.
I think SFO's charge impact calculations are also different? Because cav just feels better in general.

Ranged cavalry is for baiting enemy's cav into pursuing and hopefully locking into charge. They have to be very fast to outrun a charge animation.
Melee cavalry hovers behind/around your ranged cav, ready to do an intercept charge into the enemy's flank as he chases your ranged. Melee cav wins vs lancers, halberd cav should win vs any cav, but the biggest winner is getting your charge bonus vs a moving enemy that didn't get his charge bonus.

Their mobile forces are the only thing that can really disturb your offensive actions. Once they're dusted, then your ranged cav charge all their archers + arty, and melee cav charges pinned melee units in order of weakest to strongest.

Cavalry should always be working in groups, but if you want to run light on cav in an army, they can be supported well by a single block of spearmanii with shields going wide with them. It creates a zone of safety for your cav to retreat to, when enemy sends out his cav to repulse your harassment. They're slow, but any enemy cav that get baited into a fight near them gets caught and chopped up. If enemy sends out infantry to beat your spears, they're so slow they can just be pulverized by your cav once they're baited far enough from their army.

My malakai campaign has been a disaster. Took out Throt, Azazel and Astrogoth, but now my lands are too spread thin.
Sigvlad, demon prince, Throgg and Arcahon bully all my settlements and I can only finance like 4 armies.

I had a similar issue with only two armies, the solution was to simply conquer more land than they could take. Take all their cities, they’ll take less in the same time, then circle around and take back what they took.
Even if you declare war on every single faction (this-is-total-war campaign) you can still conquer faster than they conquer you, the game is easy.

slaanesh, norsca, and tomb kings. slaanesh gets masque as ll and stykaar as flc ll, norsca gets mortkin, and tomb kings gets ramhotep the visionary.

The latter. IMO Brittania is underrated. It's poor reputation is mostly because it looks like DLC for the previous game, and not because of it's gameplay. In fact it's probably the most unique TW of the last ten years, so even if you don't like it you may like a different one. Helffag detected, The whole thing about the high elves never actually having Asuryan's blessing because they cheesed his literal trial by fire was good because it not only goes a long way towards explaining why certain Phoenix Kings were shit heads(War of Beard comes to mind) or inneffectual(Finubar), the worst aspects getting purged by the flame also explains why he sacrifices himself to save the Everslag, it also puts the funnest Helf trait front and center as Malekith is still an arrogant prick, because of course the main Helf god wouldn't consider nigh-unwarranted arrogance as a negative trait. I personally would argue that Teclis' entire charactization and actions(killing ulric in particular) during the End Times is a much bigger afront to Helf lore only rivaled by Tyrion being purged of Khaine instead of just managing it.

game really thought I would lose. it always underestimates my gobbo boys, they had picked apart the army so much that by the time they got to my infantry, they were easily mopped up. took a lot of damage tho, impossible to avoid since almost all of kislev's units shoot back.
I sent this stack alone into RoC kislev (on L/VH max cheats), and theoretically it should be hard countered by kislev, but i keep making it work with good micro.
the plan was to backcap all their cities while their armies were out on campaign, and it worked perfectly. They came back one by one and this army beat them all. Every siege, every battle gave me a defeat but my gobbo boys beat them.
At this point, astrogoth wont have anything to do by the time he gets back. these gobbos are going to conquer all of kislev by themselves. I'm so proud of them.

Well first of all Rome 2 has one of the worst battles in TW on the same level as Troy. There is no way you can put Rome 2 and Attila next to each other as equals. Pharaoh is good for a game about spearmanii but I don't want to say anything definitive about it until I see how the cavalry and new lethality system will work. In other words, all their damage dealing stats are nerfed to hell and their damage resist stats take a slight to medium penalty
As for how long it takes units to become tired, it depends entirely on what they're doing
Climbing ladders instantly puts them at max fatigue. Otherwise, charging tires them out the fastest while shooting or fighting tires them out about half as quickly as charging
Running adds a bit of tiredness but not much, walking actually loses tiredness for infantry and gains tiredness so slowly for other units that it might as well not being going up. Being ready to receive a charge slowly lowers tiredness, and being idle more quickly lowers it. Being idle in rain or snow causes units to recover tiredness slower than they would otherwise.

I personally took the gelt move as an outright disconfirmation of monkey king being a Legendary Lord precisely because of that reason. They made a big event chain for Gelt in his new place. They aren't going to throw that away and move him again. Like you said they would be able to attack each on turn 1 so there would only be two possibilities at that point. Monkey King being a LL but not starting in his lore location or he ends up a LH for Cathay instead. Those are the only two possibilities.

Flaming is a contact effect that weakens healing by 50%. Also, a bunch of units have fire resist or fire weakness which increases or decreases damage taken by the weakness or resist percentage

So for example, Imrik deals fire damage when his unique weapon is active, but he also inflicts 60% fire weakness between his abilities and his fire mage's abilities
This means that on top of weakening healing Imrik's damage jumps up 60%, meaning his damage jumps up from 1880 to about 3000
Chaos Dwarfs, especially Astragoth, can do similar levels of fuckery with their fire weakness stacking

I am one of the most prolific Empire players, with at least 50 Karl campaigns over all games and half that divided amongst the the ones.

Vamps have not been a big deal since the healing cap. Even then, bright wizards and witch hunters had them under control. Vlad is just a shadow of what Vamp healing used to be but only unga bunga retards cant deal with him.

They would be a nice aesthetic addition, but Skaven are essentially an alternative beastmen faction. There already are beastmen in 40k which are explained by abhuman experimentation and warp mutations, and their trope niche is already kinda filled by genestealers and tyranids. Some rat mutants might rise on some world, but no way they would believably to rise above the threat level of some random backwater cult. Only way actual skaven faction would make their way to 40k is to actually write Horned Rat gnawing its way to alternate realities and ending up in 40k, and that's an asspull too. Besides, the imperium is essentially fucking space skaven already...

Ratlings and Beastmen and the Imperium are not the Skaven of 40K, the 40K Skaven are the Hrud.
Hrud were later retconned into weird bug monsters, but the original ones were just Skaven in Space. And 40K has enough of a history of retcons that if GW really wanted to bring in Space Skaven they could easily just retcon the Hrud again.
In fact there's so little lore for the Hrud that GW might not even NEED to retcon it, just say that there's multiple forms of Hrud or that the bug things are Moulder monster equivalents or something

IF you do not beeline for Hochland after Vlad you WILL be swamped by disease and the Norscans coming in from Nordland. It might even be too late for that by then. There is a chance the dwarfs will keep Vlad busy for a short while but Hochland is dead if you do not intervene and then you have endless plagues to fight through.

If you get bogged down there and Middenland dies to beastmen and orcs, Reikland will be under threat - yet you will not be able to hold anything else and will lose the war via attrition. You can say goodbye to Nordland/Ostermark/Ostland/Talabecland. Where as if you go Vlad after, you might just lose most of Stirland + Ostermark.

Rush Marienburg city, secure the fortresses and then beeline Middenland, deal with the black pit and the beastmen on your way to the nurgle shithead, contain or kill him. Might be only able to weaken him. Then start the vampire wars.

If you build it right (at least one of each; bright wizard and a witch hunter, with a strong gunline), Franz' main army can be both anti nurgle and vampires, your two biggest early issues. That same army is super effective vs Drycha and you can reclaim Ostermark easily with your now veteran fire damage army. After that you can divide the troops into someone else's army and go full Reiksguard hammer and anvil Karl end game, since he should be 30+.

Nemesis Crown doesn't take up an item slot and provides +20% hp and an incredible mortis engine effect
The Sword of Khaine takes up a weapon slot but provides 30% ward save, massive amounts of weapon strength and most importantly - unbreakable.

Best talisman is almost always Talisman of Preservation.
Best armour is usually Armour of Destiny.
Some races have arcane items that provide resistances.
Remember that 90% is the cap for resistances such as ward save and physical resistance.

They are incredibly useful. Chaos Lords of Slaanesh are solid and Chaos Warriors of Slaanesh come in at tier 3 and work as incredible anvils.

Vilitch is tanky, has access to a good arcane item but most importantly, he possesses infinite barrier regeneration. I think that is my pick for overall best one-man doomstack.

Ku'gath is a titan but his biggest weakness is his extraordinary girth. Melee factions will kneel to him but ranged factions will send him straight back to the toilet. Big + tall = bad for one-man doomstacks.

well my infantry got smashed by their bloodthirsters, but while they were dying in droves, my wolf raiders shot them all to death

it spent the first half of the battle getting beaten up by a bloodthirster and retreating, then it spent most of the rest of the battle missing. both my magma cannon and fireglaives, which normally carry hard, got beaten up early and taken out of the fight for a bit.
after taking out most of the single entities and cav, the infantry got army losses and ran away before they could really get into melee.

I just spent the entire midgame clearing out kislev factions and I look south and the empire controls half the map. if you haven't played RoC recently, give it a try on a character that doesn't have to do the souls race. The turn times are fast and honestly, the map is a fresh change of pace after playing easy IE campaigns over and over
