They had this idea for a system and then implemented it but then never actually tested to see if any of the details worked out or not. That's why you have 100 shard skills that do nothing substantial, a couple that completely break the game in half, and you end up having every character use the same ones. It's how you end up with the easiest games they've made in the series yet on Nightmare where enemies feel like they do 20% of the damage they're supposed to. It's how they made an entire sequel and fixed 0 of these issues but just added more superfluous mechanics that don't really fundamentally add anything to the combat like those chain attacks. From what little they've showed off of Kai's gameplay too doesn't really seem like they took any of the lessons to heart and just went all in on flashy animations for Crafts.

Calvard's arc fate depends on how Kai will end it. Kuro 1 and 2 were both setups for something big and if kai sharts itself in finishing the story and characters it built up, Calvard is done for as an arc and falcom should just finish kiseki once and for all.

Does Kuro 2 CLE port really not support 4K capped at 60fps? They have 50fps or 120fps at that resolution. Even if I set my TV refresh rate at 60fps and turn on vsync, the game still goes above 60. The fuck is this? Also the frametime goes crazy which causes microstuttering. Guess I'll try capping it manually since I can't keep a locked down 120fps.
