>>487345887high rank league player here (transfer to dota since i dont want chinese spyware, id rather have valve spy on me).league is a lot more unforgiving than dota, if you make a big mistake before level 9 and die at a bad time you can't stop dying since 1 level gap is insurmountable in league. so to do well in league you just have to never do the really bad fuck ups in early game and know how to punish fuck ups from opponent. there's just a lot of ways to fuck up, so what most people do is they just spam games on 1 hero and just learn what beats them and how to beat others with the hero before level 9.(they will probably surrender if you win hard enough early, so there wont be a game past 15 minutes).in dota, if you really mess up, you can atleast farm the jungle. you can buy infinite healing items from base assuming you have the money for it. worst case, you can walk to base and TP back to tower. shut downs give way more xp and gold than league. it's a lot more about positioning compared to league, since in league you have to dodge spells instead of 90% of the spells being point and click stuns or nukes.
