>>487241182did diamond 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 in 2 sittings in 2 days this weekend. it's great when you get in a groove, i racked up 5-8 win streaks a few times, but when you lose or just flounder or worse yet, derank after promoting, it's pain. all of which happened to me on my last 2 master runs. the grind is annoying, but low-mid diamond players hang themselves if you give them the opportunity. high diamond players are basically flowcharting their offense effectively and will do optimal combos given the situation always. you just have to remember: the more times YOU are on offense, the more the enemy has to guess between your strikes and throws. the odds are in your favor, so be aggressive and if your character has a dedicated neutral skip/knowledge check, use it. i'm talking akuma demon flip, ken's lash, aki's stabbing dive, bison's charge jump. just force them in guessing situations, and you will statistically see positive results. you can then bait them to whiff an OD reversal or wake-up super, and you won the round and entire game if you do that.it's math. more opportunities to get your offense going = more likely they will fuck up and eat a throw or combo that has the bonus of putting them in the corner. if you get a stray cr.mk, just drive rush that shit into a good button you can combo with, or a grab.
