Newbie hereAny downsides about having 8 str? doing sword bard.

That scene is nice, and it's where you see hints that she's more complex than her initial impression which is very important, but still.It is worth mentioning that Durge of who indurges does get several nice items, and evil route Wyll gets a nice robe, so it's not like there's nothing at all, but yes I think the good route getting more than the bad route overall is a dead horse at this point.It really comes down to roleplaying. A player who wants to roleplay an evil character is going to enjoy that, and should enjoy that, because that's what the character would do. Proper roleplaying doesn't really care about material rewards or which route gets what item. You're playing the game with a different mindset/goal, which is to enjoy the story. We all already know which route a powergamer who wants all the best items and all the quest xp would do, so now we ask ourselves what [personality character concept] would do. Which is when the real fun of the game begins.

the only real issue with minsc is how late you get him, his voice sounds decent even if its just matt mercer, he has funny lines, he has a lot to say about the world. he should have been an origin. we already accepted gale a fucking master wizard is starting at level 1 because of mysterious tadpole shit, might as well do the same with Mr. baulders gate himself. also, jaheria should have been recruitable at the start of act 2 instead of the end if you pass her test or something.
