He feels a little bit more consistent than American Sonic solely because he has the same actor (an actor who's actually talented, at that). Sonic is essentially Optimus Prime, there's some underlying vague feeling of what the character acts and sounds like, a general collection of qualities, iconic catch phrases, but every version uses those things in different amounts and ends up being their own thing.

They're both captured and locked up; Tails is okay.- Mimic is obviously outed, but in the chaos caused by Surge and Kit, he nearly kills Tangle; Whisper snaps and kills Mimic, causing tension between her and Sonic and even Tangle; it doesn't really go anywhere, though. She's just kinda slowly forgiven. I thought it was dumb.- Lanolin is a double agent, working for Clutch. I'm gonna be honest, they did nothing to justify this double-cross; even ABT (her creator) was taken aback by this and had no warning this was going to happen, but he's expressed his disdain for it. She's also arrested and locked up, but she vows to escape and enact her revenge. Again, really retarded shit.- The comics officially catch up to the games with Issue 75, which is more of a fluff issue than anything, as it takes place during the events of Frontiers. Tangle and Whisper end up together at the end of this issue, officially, no mandates in the way.
