Part of me wants to see more polearm bosses that use all sides of their weapon. Godskin Apostles use the other point but rarely others. If they ever did a Godwyn boss and he has a poleaxe like Godfrey or Death Knights, a unique twist would be the style he uses it.

Anyone else feel like it's not possible to git gud in ER in the same way as past FROM titles. What I mean is this: in Dark Souls and Sekiro, there's a moment where the game "clicks" with you. You still might die occasionally, but everything seems like it's on cruise control from that point. Early game, you're fumbling around like a stuck pig, but late game, you're beating bosses in one or two tries because you just "get" it. You can read the enemies like an open book and just intuitively know what they're going to do. Even Isshin doesn't seem that bad because he's just a refinement of everything you've seen up to that point. In ER, most of the bosses are a struggle the first time through, assuming you aren't using some sort of overpowered build. Like getting good at Malenia does not mean that you're not going to struggle on some other boss. It's like every time, you're back at level 1 or 2 having to build up the necessary skills.

I think some of you need to realize that just because it's hard does not mean it's fun. Rykard, Starscourge Radahn (using the festival summons), and Godrick are easy yet fun. Malenia and Mohg are hard but mostly fun (even if I think WFD is shit). Fire Giant is easy but not fun. Difficulty does not imply fun factor, though difficulty is usually important to get the adrenaline flowing and create a sense of euphoria at the end. Some of the most fun parts of ER are just basic exploration, which isn't actually all that hard.

Jump attacks are where this is the most obvious; many bosses will hang in the air for a few seconds, then smash down onto you in milliseconds. This forces you to memorize instead of react, which is more difficult, and I personally find, less fun.I'll admit that I did not have fun with some of the bosses, maybe because I didn't play them the right way, but I still overcame them mano a mano. You can beat a game but not find the difficulty all the time. For instance, as a teenager, I beat CoD WaW on veteran. It was an absolutely miserable experience, but I slogged through it because I was "hardcore." Guess I haven't changed all that much.

Every dlc boss is a godwyn reskin the original dlc planned for godwyn to be the only boss. You'd fight multiple failed recreations of him before fighting his resurrected soul in mohgs body as the final boss.
