The real issues are that there is basically no cost to blocking, you can do it indefinitely for no real penalty, it's way too easy to interrupt attacks via bashing because the immense mismatch in animation timing, and your mobility options are way too limited to avoid attacks to compensate for the first two things.

Then there's the "AE upgrade", which is if you shill out the $20 for all the CC stuff.You do not particularly need the CC stuff for anything. This is probably the correct way to play the game. welp I think I managed to get my ideal loot solution or as close as I can get without making something from scratch.using thishttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34217I modified the plugins so the loot droprate is even lower to around 1/5 the nominal number, and increased the merchant rate to 100% so they always have the maximum available items to sell. In dungeons almost all containers are straight up empty and enemies only drop the clothes on their back, so nearly zero gold income from loot. And I also don't have to go between a hundred different merchants and wait weeks at a time to finally find someone with something decent to sell. Gold is so valuable with this setup that purchasing good equipment is a major drain which is exactly what I wanted.Ideally I would make merchants carry every possible item to eliminate the merchandise goose chase and prevent bandits and whatnot from ever wearing gear above steel but I'll have to figure that out later.
I know people like to pretend otherwise but what real-world ethnicities other than Roman are used as a basis for Imperials? I've heard Baltic/Slavic but nobody has ever provided reasonable proof of that.

With vanilla loot you find so many super valuable items you are swimming in cash scrooge mcduck style by like level 3, and you never have need to buy anything anyway since you most of that valuable stuff you find is way better than anything the merchants sell. It's actually great for quality of life too since you aren't painstakingly searching every random pot for diamonds and shit, with quickloot you can breeze through a dungeon incredibly quickly and never have to stop and do inventory management since you don't get bogged down with hundreds of pounds of crap.This loot mod combined with a bunch of other mods I have is all in the effort of making gold a valuable and useful form of character progression. Of course I also avoid using crafting aside from alchemy since that would undermine the whole idea.
