I'll never understand anyone who defends uragaan ever, most monsters people have trouble with stating "not hard, but annoying" are usually people who lack the proper patience to wait their turn. You can definitely use that same argument to defend this steaming pile of shitmon since you get to watch as he rolls around 3 hundred times until he stops but is that really what constitutes patience. See the thing is you use patience because you don't understand the monster, and you're learning valuable information while also not risking your skin by letting the monster do their moves until you eventually can go in gung ho and using their own movements against them. What do you GAIN by watching uragaan roll around endlessly for 25 minutes until you eventually kill him??

It's basically Gears of Wars' active reload mechanic but in Monster Hunter, in that you can significantly speed up your reload time by pressing a button at the exact moment while reloading to cancel the rest of the animation. It should be a staple for all forms of reloading in MH, whether it's for bowguns or even phials and shell reloads for melee weapons.

>>492003132Use an ice greatsword. The way to not die to the supernova is to hit him with enough elemental damage to cause him to topple over. Everytime you do it, it weakens it a little more, but you need to do it just once to be able to survive. When he starts doing it place down a healing booster, wait till your health starts going down a bit, then pop an astera jerky. Use velkhana's set for the elemental crit to do more element damage. Since you're on greatsword, velk's frostcraft is also good. Other than that, when he does a big red explosion and they tell you he's switching elements, you'll want to focus his head and break a horn ASAP, because that will prevent him from switching to fire and nullifying your element after his supernova.
