Has anyone noticed how strangely hostile to sinking the game design has been for a while? Like, it has been a LONG time since we have had a difficult fight without SP. Only one in the last season I can remember is Heartbroken Heathcliff, and even then, it wasn't that tough, especially post nerfs. Like, look back at season 4, we had Riccardo, Pequod Trio, and Gasharpoon. All of them have SP. Then we have Christmas, which was mostly enemies with SP. Then we had Blade Lineage, and both Kim and Jun have SP. Next, Canto 6, where literally every fight except one had SP. I think Cathy and her hands had no SP but the actual difficult stuff in that fight, the wild hunts and Erlking, had SP. Nelly, Dead Rabbits Boss, Heathcliff?, Erlking 1, all SPThen we had TKT. Once again, all SP enemies, including the ripperThen we had Warp Express. Bloodbags don't have SP but the actual tough(ish) enemy, Casetti, has SP. We also had Railway, which was FULL of enemies that fucking corrode when at -45 sp. Yeah some of the bosses were gloom weak but they were behind a lot of people who can corrode. Not that sinking is bad against enemies with SP, but you'd much rather be dealing blue rupture most of the time rather than just locking them down to -45. Yeah it's almost impossible to lose against plus coin enemies with SP when using sinking, but its not exactly fast. You can try to use Spicebush, but his skill 2 is very negative, his skill 1 is just neutral and clashes like shit, and his skill 3 basically can't be used until you're certain it will kill. Maybe this route of sinking IDs and EGO being more standard damage focused is actually a good thing, since Erlking and both Solemn Laments really just want sinking for conditionals and aren't super interested in blue rupture.

Hmm, so in my run against Casetti, whom I killed in just 3 turns, I've discovered that1). Sinking doesn't have as much gloom as you'd want honestly. It's mostly skill 2s and even after the buildup, I couldn't afford a corroded rime shame, let alone a corroded rime shank AND lament. So I had to just do lament and normal Rime Shank. 2). It's honestly pretty hard to maintain count. Besides rime shank the only two really good sinking positive skills you have are Linton skill 2 and Molar Ishmael skill 3. Obviously, Echos of the Manor helps and it's currently bugged, and not working properly, but it should be noted that even when working properly, it doesn't actually start to work until the second turn at the earliest. 3). Erlking does a ton of damage, but he's just so count negative. And Impending Ruin seems pretty useless. As far as I can tell, against enemies without SP, and enemies with SP that have fixed panic, it does basically nothing? According to the descriotion anyway. Unless I'm misreading, all it does against these enemies is -10% chance to flip heads. Which while sorta nice does not help his count situation. He's negative on skill 1 and 2 and counter and his skill 3s can be neutral but besides then he's hemorrhaging count. 4). In fact, most sinking IDs lose a lot of count. Especially Dieci Rodion who's heavily negative on everything but skill 3, and as I said before, Rime Shank can be tricky to afford. Often you need to use her guard which feels kinda bad. Only Molar ishmael is neutral or positive on everything and that's only if the enemy has tremor. I'm somewhat confused how people ever got reasonable Sinking Deluges outside of Mirror Dungeons? Unless you stall forever and get double corroded Rime Shank, you're just not able to build up enough count fast enough. 5). Solemn Lament (both of them but especially Gregor) is so fucking goodMy team was Wild Hunt, Linton Gregor, Butler Outis, Dieci Rodion, Butterfly Sang, Molar Ishmael.

If you somehow happen to have very low ammo before skill 3, try to reload before using it but that's about it. All his skills inflict butterfly and it's impossible to actually control whether you get living or departed so who cares. The one thing you should maybe keep in mind is you want a lot of butterflies on the enemy if you're going to use Gregor's new ego, since it heals SP on hit. But that's it

>>493395897As a huge don fan I wouldn't really say she has any "horrible" IDs, at least non are like n corp merusault bad. Cinq is fine though obviously not as good as the other cinqs. Middle is.....well mid I suppose. T corp is pretty nice just for how it can nuke sloth weak enemies. Shi and n corp are plain but meat lantern has a solid place on a rupture team and bl is a useable poise id

W is obviously among the best, T has her sloth conversion gimmick, BL pairs well with Kim, Lantern right now is mandatory for rupture, Little Sister is a decent blunt unit and can play with bleed teams, Shi has good rolls for a 00 and can ignore the 50% HP gimmick. I guess Cinq is iffy now but it's a full pierce ID for her slot so she has her niche too (also homescreen meta). Only base and N are really bad, I can think of quite a few sinners that have it worse.
