Anyone else get sad thinking about the VN scene from a decade ago compared to now? I miss the when a translation came out and everyone was posting about it, leaving their impressions and such. Now we get dozens of new releases every year and everyone's reading different stuff with maybe one or two anons posting about a new release when it comes out (if it's high enough profile).I think the turning point was probably around when covid started and a lot of new people started the hobby, thus having an almost infinite backlog of titles to read. Because even in 2019 and 2018 when there were a lot of releases happening, like MG releasing a new title every month, this thread was still full of people reading the new stuff, hell, we had dozens of people posting about moege at launch like Hatsukoi, Fureraba, Tsujidou and MML, even though they were just okay/outright bad, but posting about them in this thread was what made them fun.

Greetings, for those that more or less know me already Im back with some updates, if you dont know who I am yet >>493895209 .For those interested about the update Shuffle (will post about it on the server Soon™ too , what I have been doing these past 3 days is that I was digging up the code of Yumehaven released of the game so i can wrap my head around which choices increases the girls routes or set "their route flag" and after I kept decompiling more and more of the code that I was over half of the whole thing done, at that point I decided I may as well decompile the whole damn thing up and do some cleaning up (remove everything related to Steam calls/DRM and so on) and I ended making a new version which I would call the "Recompiled" version for now
does anyone remember the name of that mystery VN where the detective protagonist goes to an island with an insane asylum but it turned out that the detective was actually an asylum patient all along and it was all an elaborate ruse to try and get him to snap out of his schizophrenia?
