The problem with the Extra Deck is that Konami can't commit to how much engine they think a deck "should" be using in their Extra Deck.Strategies like Fiendsmith or Tenpai Dragon run 4 strictly engine cards in the Extra Deck but then there's also decks like Centur-Ion and Ryzeal which are designed to be focused on their Extra Deck mechanic but only get like 2 monsters for their Extra Deck so even if the deck is good it will put out a lot of non-engine.
