Finally, I've finished the main girl's route in True Love Story (PS1). Pic related. I've left her route until the penultimate playthrough. And you know what, you can tell she's the main girl since they actually put in more effort in her route. Of the 9 girls' routes I've played through, hers was the only one that actually made me teary-eyed near the end. I got very close to crying, it was a genuinely emotional ending and the visuals complemented the scene greatly. She is now the new Best Girl™, overtaking Mizutani whose route I played through like, what, 2 months ago? And that's a wrap! For the main girls in True Love Story, at least. I've read there's a tenth "hidden" girl that you can pursue but I'll have to look up a guide for that, I think I almost got her once in an earlier playthrough but you probably need the right stats and some luck to trigger her encounter. For now, I'll take a break from dating sims, play something else, and then later I'll come back for the sequel, True Love Story 2!!!!!

Finished another romancing saga 2 playthrough. The gimmick this time was to finish the game in calendar year 1019, which required me to skip certain events and to suicide through a bunch of emperors to obtain the final emperor early. It's not exactly challenging since I'm already very familiar with the game, but it's fun to minmax according to the restrictions.some details:Gerard must die prior to Kujinshi, as a year is added to the calendar if Gerard kills him. However the final emperor must not be obtained until after the gemstone mine (or canal fort), because two years pass after events with the final emperor.A year is added to the calendar when you build new facilities from the throne of Avalon. The magic research facility cannot be obtained in this playthrough, so I inherited some magic on my emperor and picked final team members that start with useful spells.Strangely, you cannot pick up the windmaker from Hiiraga the 3rd even though it is built. Only after a timeskip does it become available and no timeskips occur in this playthrough. As a result you must complete the canal fort and pirate quest to obtain one of the bard's instruments, otherwise you can't reach wagnas.Because there are no generation skips you can only build the first tier of equipment at the blacksmith. Not a big deal.The dojo does not appear until a generation skip occurs or the termite queen is defeated for the second time. Instead, I sparked some martial arts skills with different characters while they were emperor so the final emperor could inherit them.

So in other news i plan on playing Gravity Rush for the first time today. I bought it online months ago but didn't get around to playing it until now.I though about getting it for my Vita when the game was new but since i was a weird teen at the time i didn't get it because i felt weird getting a game staring a girl, i got embarrassed at the thought but now i regret not buying it back then. They don't play the same, they don't really follow any themes and the only thing they have in common are some terms / monsters. As a kid I only ever played 6, 8 and 9, but I feel like they all had not only combat in common, but also a setting where magic and technology met. FF13 felt like it was 99% technology, FF15 was more like 99% modern shit and 16 feels like 99% middle ages stuff. The balance seems out of whack.
