I think at the end of the day Destiny was never bound to last this long or be nearly over analyzed as it’s been. You can’t wow people when the game is long solved and been beaten 100 times over and just adding in loot tweaking the sandbox slightly isn’t interesting enough. Spectacle of dungeons and raids wears thin after awhile especially when reward structure is god awful for the time sunk, and just because you have a shill army of content idiots who no life doesn’t mean that something is going to be interesting or even a good idea. The charm of Salvation’s was long gone by the time I finished off the raid seal. Even if we had a flat hard reset or whatever I don’t even think I could be bothered to care to grind because bungie doesn’t change the sandbox enough to make things matter. Surges was a middle ground to expand your vault and run different shit but obviously it made people pissy and it sorta kept the same problems. Prismatic was a massive nail in coffin because of how much an auto win button multiple interactions can be. Idk I had fun with the series but things ran its course
