The pushable block is still jittering but I think I know how to fix it; it's a problem shared by all objects using the new object collision that I just have yet to fix. It works fine otherwise, except that I need to add special exceptions for the very first block in MZ1 because of the way it rests on one of the chain stompers. I never want to look at Marble Zone again after this. Just have to update the chain stomper collision and fix a minor bug in their chain drawing routines, and update the MZ2 collapsing platforms with some of the new logic I wrote for the GHZ collapsing platforms, and I am finally done with this zone after almost a year of having it unfinished.I hate working on this level so much that I almost wanted to leave it out of the next release, but I think the new alterworld graphics for it are really good, so I'm persevering.

To be fair to Needlemouse, it's not really a JC retread in the same way Xenophanes or Faker are, because the references like Tom and Kyle are mostly surface-level; the main thing carried over is "evil Sonic sucks you into the game and tortures you" which is not really an original concept anyway.But to be harsh to Needlemouse, all of the stuff it adds makes the story 10 times worse than the JC original and it actually makes the original Sonic.EXE look good in comparison, if only by virtue of the fact that the original Sonic.EXE was not written in a time period where every story needs to have 5 different transexual black lesbians

The arguments about X in OSF being pedophilic or following JC are funny when I look back at how this depiction of Sonic.EXE developed. If it were only me making the game, then X would solely have been a generically evil character like he is in the MY5TCrimson game and, by extension, AOSRH.But then before the release of demo 2, Hatcher sent me the dialogue for that cutscene and said that Sonic.EXE should be a gay rapist in the game, which I thought was funny so we went with it. Everyone seems to find this depiction more interesting and funny than whatever I was going to go with, so it's worked out. Knuckles sprites and animations reimplemented, gliding state almost done, and started adding a new placeholder tileset to SYZ to fit some of the new assets made for it (as well as the plans for the final look of the zone). Also reorganized a bunch of the player movement code since it was really bad before. Hopefully I can get Knuckles finished by today.Later, to go along with the remix mode with original level design (still need to come up with a name for this mode) it would be cool if Knuckles could spindash up walls; I really like that feature from Sonic Advance 3. Somebody asked for a Megamix Mode where characters have their Sonic Megamix movesets so it might be cool to have this original level design mode come packaged with new moves like this.

Elemental shields mostly finished. I don't know if it was even possible to get an electric shield in the last demo but the animation on them was really messed up before.
