I also think 1200g is a small price for that and back then they had that 875g pickaxe item instead of going back to the two swords so even if you are kinda behind the build path is good enough. Also 1200g is not bad and should leave you room for boots which also helps with ganking and moving across jungle fast without relying on crabs and the explosive fruits or portals. I remember losing our to an Udyr once because he was just speeding across the map and clearing out everything so fast he'd gank every other minute or be doing my jungle/pit monsters.

The damage is more or less the same, what changed is the amount of gold champions get. Back in the day only mid mages and ADCs did damage, but ADC only did so after getting the IE->PD->BT/LW core. Both junglers and support use to get no gold and thus had half-built champions which did no damage, even "carry" champions like Nocturne and Rengar were built full tank. Outside of few metas here and there, top laners also built full tank, or at least Trinity Force -> tank. Since there was less gold overall due to no bounties nor turret plates, ADC took much longer to ramp up and thus games were longer and damage was "less," as only mid laners had any damage in the early to mid game.It's why people like Doublelift, Namei, Weixao, and Uzi were superstars in season 1-3, and why they're even called AD Carries, as it was always down to late game teamfights were the best ADC always won, and they always happened in the mid lane as if it was an ARAM.

I hate playing bot for reasons I wont list but I like Jhin allot.
