The AI-slop tutorial videos are really throwing me off. Looking for info on a subject, find relevant tutorial from someone with 12 day old channel. Channel has been getting 4 videos uploaded per day, every day, already 5 complete tutorial playlists. Im no coomer gamer but that guy is probably just seething a coomer esque game (idk if coom game or just heavy on appeal) is successful. I dont encourage coomdev, simply not worth it, Im not risking eternql damnation for some fleeting money and an easy temporary life. It is obvious this game will do significantly better than that skyrim devs game. One is popular for having the skyrim attribution and pretty pictures that graphics obsessed gamers like, the other is popular because of the actual gameplay and art that is of good enough quality for the gameplay it provides. Thats the difference. I do like the designs, theyre cute, idk if its an actual coom game or simply going hard on the appeal. Wish I was that good at 3D. I like the left more, the chainmail is rad but maybe the model is worse.

On the right the UV seam on the chest looks really ugly. You probably wanna unwrap that without a seam in the middle so you can get the pixel rows go neatly down instead of colliding like that. Also his eyes are really high.

I would also recommend you experiment with low res textures but using filtering to blur them in engine. Pixelated textures are really hard to pull off well.

i didn't invent any new system, but i just used what Unity had to offer. they have a pretty handy mesh baking tool, what i did is that i used their tool to bake the ragdolls into static meshes at runtime, since Unity handles non-skinned meshes pretty well. the only downside is that if too many units die at once you'll have a very brief lag spike.

I found sfx for one of my favorite games. I honestly cant tell if they were stolen or if the ta behind it used paid assets. I tried digging for info on it but they didnt admit if the SFX were stolen which makes me believe they are indeed paid assets. The SFX are really good too, I recognized it in the obscure asset pack when listening to what it offered. It's an unforgettable SFX which means I probably can't use it without triggering the memory of it in some people.

I've been working on the versus mode for my game. The gameplay logic is still a work in progress but basically what I'm thinking about is that once a player makes a combo you send out garbage tiles to your opponent, the amount of garbage tiles you send depends on how big your combo is, and those same tiles can only be cleared using combos. Of course there is still a lot of work to be done but I'm liking this progress so far. The visuals still need more work as well. I've also made playable as a local vs mode using only one mobile device. I'll post another video.

Let's assume you know how to model. You create the base mesh with good topology, you create an armature with IK and all the wiggle bones you need. Then you create the cages for collision. How much harder is the fucking animation? You think in that webm the animator did anything other than create key frames and use procedural animation?

Must manage moisture level, too wet and you slip and slide then melt away. Get too dry and you crumble.
Endgame has you pass through a sacred fire and become vitrified, thus immortal to most previous hazards, only strong smashing can defeat you.

Idk when I tried it, it kinda looked weird, that's why I switched it up to this nice clean light. When you are in pitch black dungeons it can make things look weird and annoying when everything is orangish.
