I wish the whole combat in Strive was built around blue rc. It's so fun and expressive and necessary for unique combo routing in a simple game like this. But the game never gives you an opportunity to take advantage of it, and the reward is so little. I wish it was the source for all high damage in this game. Having tech that needs to be mastered for the highest reward would make it a lot easier to differentiate the pros from the casuals and would overall make Strive a more fun game to watch. I hope it gets buffed next patch.

S fish is almost entirely to make jumping H fish on reaction worse since you can't tell whether it's going down or up when she summons it but she doesn't get a knockdown on hit and can't use it for pressure if they don't jump so it's something you try to avoid.Metered routes midscreen are usually just Ice spike RRC into the fire spear IAD K bubble thing to get a pillar knockdown, and in the corner she can use H fish for burst safe pillar juggles or go into fire spear loops or whatever.

So when you get hit by WA then your only option is to burst? It temporally takes away their burst, but if they don't burst right after getting it back then you'll break the wall. Holding the burst in any other game would be fine because it would only lead to corner carry and some damage. But because of positive bonus resource reward is so high, you really have no choice but to burst. Taking a small amount ends up taking away the whole burst anyway, so there's no reason not to use hit confirm into WA when they have full burst. And because you get two chances to WA you can just use the first WA to take their burst and hit confirm the second WA to break the wall. It doesn't even matter if they get a chunk of burst back wall broken. They'll have no resources to fight back from spending it on the burst, while you'll be on your third hit confirm WA with positive bonus and meter to spare. This is so dumb. It's really one elaborate neutral skip with no thought put into it for people who don't want to play the game, isn't it? If they continue to push this dumb mechanic that goes against the systems the game is built around, they should at least not make wall breaks give positive bonus.
