i think vindicta will forever be doomed to either be shit or broken, unless they substantially change her kit. it's just the problem with sniper characters in games like this. if vindicta is good and has decent aim, basically any time you're at half health, you're at the risk of dying instantly. and with how big hurt/hitboxes in this game are, you don't even really need particularly good aim. and then her ult has a built in rich get richer mechanic where she gets more souls if she gets the kill, which allows to snowball harder than most characters and just melt people in secondsa tragic fate

I'm glad Vindicta is back to being good. At least, Vindicta doesn't have that hyper mobility like when she was good previously. However, she is a jack of all trade offensively that can be built spirit, gun, hybrid, or utility and be effective. She is vulnerable and squishy and easy to take down once you get to her, but a force to be reckoned with if she gets her offense going. I think that's a solid character design that is very fun to play since you can incorporate so many different playstyles and stratagy

They could have made it a projectile like Shiv's knives and have it worked very similar, but honestly with the numbers as they are Mirage's stuff is pretty balanced, it just requires understanding that those 1 damage shots from 70m are actually delivering spell damage and unfortunately I think a lot of players just don't get that. You get trained to ignore max distance plinking pretty early and putting it on players to "just know" all the exceptions is the bad game design that gives us dota 2 so are we really surprisedthe amount of times someone even at high mmr feeds to a haze who's stacked 30 fixations at max distance plinking to have the damage amp for their dive because they don't realize they have stacks is unacceptably too high, but again Haze has just been over-favored by the devs and is a toxic character innately so fixating on just her fixation is the wrong approach because it's legitimately the least broken part of the character
