Follow up post now that I’ve had the PG27AQDP for the day now. Motion clarity is excellent as expected. Text clarity is second to none, it’s quite astonishing really, text is almost normal. A big step up from qd-oled and previous woled panels. There’s a lot of graininess in a blank grey screen, not something you see in game but rather discord or visual studio code. Not a deal breaker for me but if you’re an artist that requires an immense amount of precision it could bother you. The one pet peeve I have with this monitor is HDR. Non white colors (basically anything that’s not a light, emissive object, or specular reflection) has very little luminance and makes everything look washed out and desaturated. It’s hard to tell how much of this is the woes of WOLED or just this specific monitor. To my knowledge I’ve calibrated everything correctly. It’s definitely reaching “deeper” colors as I’ve taken comparison photos in Liberty Falls but the lack of luminance cancels out the HDR experience. Unfortunately it’s enough to make me return it because I’m not willing to thug out 1k to not use HDR which is more or less the point of getting an OLED monitor. I don’t recall experiencing this on the Samsung G60SD I had for a few days but I regrettably didn’t experiment with HDR enough on that monitor. I guess I see what oled enthusiasts mean when they prefer qd-oled over woled. It’s such a shame too because I absolutely adore the text clarity on this one. If I decide to stick with OLED I’m probably going to settle on the XG27ACDNG which just came out.

Got my first major glitch, seems to be preventing progress. Gladly is apparently dead, perhaps died in the attack on the base where you unlock the chopper gunner, and now after going off and doing the last objective when we come back to report in he's just a waypoint marker on an empty vest on the ground. Reloading to last checkpoint doesn't seem to solve it since he died over one checkpoint ago. Might have to do the whole mission again....But besides this annoyance I'm actually pretty positive about the game overall. This is coming from someone who didn't really like mwII/mwIII or vanguard, but loved cold war.

Run danger close with blast traps, run shotguns and dive every corner, run prox alarms and c4s with quartermaster, just get creative and invent a playstyle. They added things like the Signal Lure which *lets you talk to enemy players on mic*. Wary cry's movespeed buff stacks with the enforcer specialty. IMPACT GRENADES exist, and they're fucking hilarious. Sleeper Agent is maybe the most diabolical thing they put in the game. Maps like Skyline and Payback have rooms with only two entrances that function as alternate routes and are extremely easy to set up a camp in. Try and do things that either you would be hyped to see someone else do, or do things that you think would make enemy players mad. This game so badly wants you to not take it seriously, and you'll have more fun once you let yourself be whimsical and shameless

If you're not T2 PAP by round 20 solo you're gonna have a rough time, if you're not "full build" (T3 PAP, gold weapon tier, T3 armor, all your perks, ect) by 30 you're dead, and I haven't gotten to round 40 yet because Amalgams are a serious issue solo. Usually I exfil around round 21 or 26.Terminus main EE is genuinely hard to finish if you don't know the steps already (how the fuck are you supposed to know to hit a specific ceiling trap with the Beamsmasher) and the side EEs are pretty hard to finish too and require niche shit like Deadwire. Liberty Falls main EE is pretty easy and just has a shitload of soulbox steps. The only sidequest I know of is the one where you collect dolls but I haven't found all of them yet.
