In Daphne, you don't necessarily need SSRs. The only bad thing about Alice is that her first dupe is genuinely a brick. Her skill does not increase at all from 1->2. It does however get a full extra turn on 2->3 which is real good. The Alice Dream is getting Cortu with 3 or 4 turns on it from turning mage.
I hope the 2week banners are not temporary and it will stay like this. a new character every week is too much. Every 2 week is managable because you can skip everything. Skillsets are almost the same so you pull for the character design

Personally I prefer my MC as Fighter with Debra as my Thief. Thieves are also the most likely class to swap out for content (such as the grad up trials) so I'd rather that not be the MC

Swapping weapons causes some strange issues. Had Lana holding a mace then swapped to a spear and got the small faded numbers for landing a missed attack. Then next turn her normal attack got a stun off.
