I saw a guy walking around in what looked like Banbaro armour from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne though and he was a Guardian, so I kind of assume that Guardians eventually get some cool looking Anglo-Saxon / Viking / Entguard kind of outfits, once they get to higher levels?I picked up Hammermage because well, Hammers lol :hammering: but also because the gear being made out of stone sounds great, Havel the Rock tier stuff, but so far all I look like is some weird petrified Mongolian or something with lamellar armour. I'm sure higher level gear will look a lot cooler though.I'm not sure what to think about each faction having its own specific crafting skill. It seems too much. Surely they'll eventually merge together and be required for ultimate tiers of equipment, right? It can't just be 100% stone for Hammermages, 100% metal for Cryoknights or 100% Bones / Horns for Guardians. That would make training those skills for non-whatevers complete ass, lol.I'm sure Guardians will be valuable in the future. So I'm waiting for Wilds and I decided to play Sekiro for the first time and the game seem kind of anti-fun since each time you die you have to re-fight some of the normal mob enemies and the bosses have weird hitbox tracking sometimes. Goddamn ceadeus is a pain. I'm trying to find the rhythm and at times it seems like I'm getting close but this faggot never stops moving. I know you don't want to be in front of him or on the side of him because of his horns, flippers, water beam, and tail flip but that only leaves above him or below him. Below him you mostly just attack the tail which has shit zones and above him is such a hassle given how much he moves his head. I guess you're meant to learn his moves so well that you position yourself where his head will be but goddamn that means I have to fight this fag enough times to learn all his habits. It genuinely feels like they designed underwater combat around lagiacrus and then just said fuck it for the rest of the underwater monsters because lagi is the only one that feels genuinely smooth to fight underwater. Bros what GPP should I buy for Wilds?The RX 7700 XT looks very tempting. It has good performance and its newer architecture allows for better FSR. The only problem is that it has only 12 GB which not that great in modern gaming. The RX 6800 also looks like a good GPU for wilds. It has better performance than the RX 7700 XT and has 16 GB. The only problem is that it is an older GPU so I don't know if it will stand the test of time and is a but overpriced.

You want to move and attack in such a way that you are in an advantangeous position to continue attacking or be out of reach of potential future attacks. For example long sword and switch axe both have "fade" attacks in their arsenal that dodge you backwards while attacking. and you'll find that there are quite a lot of monster attacks where the fade attacks will give you just enough distance to be out of reach.It's meant to be less of a reactionary game like Souls/Elden Ring where you're dodge rolling out of attacks and more of a proactive game where you have studied the monster and have a decent idea of what it can do so you can anticipate and be in a safe zone, or attack efficiently.

They throw an assload of tutorials and want you to talk to like 12 different NPCs and then you'll see a ton of yellow "!" pop up all over your screen when you're in the base. Take it at your own pace. You don't need to talk to everyone immediately if you just wanna go hunting or try out some weapons. Some of those "!" will be NPCs wanting to tell you about some other mechanic/feature or offering you a quest, and those quests will show up in the list with a speech bubble next to it to indicate it's a villager quest, these can have special rewards like canteen/farm upgrades or special tools you can use during a hunt, so it's a good idea to prioritize them vs other quests. And don't feel the need to do every single quest in the list because you'll get to fight all the monsters again in high rank and then again in master rank. And look up a tutorial vid for the general idea on how to play your chosen weapon(s) because the tutorials in game suck and don't really tell you about all the nuances or in some cases they don't even give you the full moveset. Have fun and good hunting.
