I'm trying to run TotK on my laptop (Dell XPS 15). I know the specs aren't the best but I was able to play all of BotW in Cemu comfortably with no noticeable framerate issues. When I run TotK in yuzu or any of its forks using Vulkan I get good enough framerate (22-30ish on average) but I end up with these black triangles in all the rendering, making it unplayable. I haven't been able to find anyone having this issue on reddit or anything. It only happens with Vulkan, and I tried setting the VRAM higher. With integrated graphics I believe the system's RAM doubles as VRAM (not sure if that's true), of which I have 32GB so I don't think that's the limiting factor. Using OpenGL doesn't have this issue and the game renders as expected, but it's a consistent 5-10 FPS drop no matter what settings I try, which makes the framerate pretty unplayable. With Ryujinx the performance is even worse, so it's basically not an option either.

Anyone happen to have any fix or suggestions?
>>
>>501906759
Specs please. Also, using system Ram as VRAM is a bandaid, it much slower than real VRAM. It basically a marketing scam.
>>
>>501906759
>integrated graphics
yikes, could that be the problem?
>>
I bought a Beelink N100 mini PC. Can it emulate at least PS2?
>>
>>501906759
Switch emulation is heavier than Wii U's, that's one point. Also, integrated graphics have gotten much better lately, and even usable, but they still aren't cut for newer games. To make matters worse, mobile CPUs are laughably behind their CPU counterparts; for the same price, you can build a considerably better desktop PC. That's the downside of hardware portability.

tl;dr: gaming on laptops is harsh. Don't expect decent performance for current titles.

>>501912026
Yes, but your mileage may vary according to the emulated game, as some require much more from the hardware than others. You'll also be stuck on lower resulations, if you care about that.
>>
>>501912475
>Yes, but your mileage may vary according to the emulated game, as some require much more from the hardware than others. You'll also be stuck on lower resulations, if you care about that.
Damn, okay. Guess I'll just stick to emulating PS1 games and handhelds.

>Average Yuzu Experience
You're gonna have to get creative. Handheld mode, toggling all the various Vulkan hacks in Yuzu's settings, seeing if there are mods that cut shadow, texture res, and post processing below stock, trying different drivers for your iGPU. It may just be that your iGPU just doesn't have the instructions or shader model or whatever to do it right.

It was horrid. I remember using component cables helped a lot with muddiness, but nothing could be done about aliasing, it probably got worse. There's still this scene on my mind, playing Onimusha 4; you were on a japanese castle, at sunset, very beautifully art-wise, then you went out to the roof, and things were barely discernible, tons of jaggies everywhere. I don't mind graphics that much, but, damn... it was tough to look at that.

Specifically Precision 5560 (reskinned XPS15 9510) sans the NVIDIA gpu. I never expected this machine to run switch emu, but after having such a smooth experience with BotW I thought it might be in the realm of possibility. But let me know if I'm chasing a pipedream

Here in the latest Anon-PCSX2-Parallel-GS, also before anyone asks the retroarch webm was taken after a restart and already with the 8x SSAA chosen.

Gonna be real here, i only want LRPS2 to be perfected because i want to play PS2 with shaders, the PS2 only really "worked" with a CRT, it looks great with the retro crisis shader RC GDV-NTSC - Mega Drive - Clean.slangp

In the end i don't even really care about super sampling but i really want the software render to be updated at standalone parity so i can have all the latest fixes and play with MUH SHADERS

Re-implementing beta car textures in Driver, mostly. Some of them looked better than the final versions, and some cars could use some custom paintjobs for the hell of it. But this goes for any PSX game really since Duckstation can't do shit for any of them. So I'm stuck with goddamn retroshart again.

It's personal preference, but PC ports of 5th gen games usually just looks disappointing to me. It just doesn't feel as interesting to see a PC run a game that a console from 1994 can run, with a little bit higher draw distance and framerate.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnURy-dE7Tc

And oftentimes a PC port just looks worse. Look at this shit, it's depressing compared to the PSX version.

You need per-game pnach patches for it to look good. Either progressive scan or full frame (not field) patches.

It will all be integrated eventually.

anyone had any success running duimon mega bezel shaders on a dolphin core?
the game starts to stutter every few seconds once you go into 3d heavy scenes.
pretty sure its not a performance issue because changing the rendering resolution has zero effect on it, and the gpu and cpu are no where near to be maxed out.
must be some one obscure setting in the shader that causes it, because the stuttering is gone as soon as i turn the shader off.

that's not how parallel-gs works like.

in that picture if you turn on Statistics you can see the base width/max is 1280x896. The pnach patch turns the image into a full frame (640x448). 16x SSAO and high-res scanout then turns that into a 1280x896 image.

if u still want to go further after that you can always apply FSR shader on top in RA or any other number of shader stacks you want. It looks better and more consistent than GSdx DESU IMHO.

The only pain will be trying to find good pnach patches and then integrating it all for games. Things to look out for are 'full frame mode', 'progressive scan', 'sharp backbuffer' and 'remove blur' patches. Some of the existing pnach patches will need some modification, sometimes the screen positioning is off prob because they made the patches with inaccurate HLE renderers in mind

lol no, only a few games did that, it was really expensive so those who did barely used it on normal gameplay either
The hardware just wasn't designed for that. 3D on both screens was basically a hack, they had to do a framebuffer trick since there's only one, IIRC they would render one screen then copy the result to a texture, then switch the rendering to another screen so it could use the framebuffer as well.

There is an HD upscale texture pack for the game, but it's missing a couple of textures.
I activated texture dumping but it looks like it's not dumping all of the textures, as they are still missing in that directory.

I also noticed there is a dump for the games textures in a neocities site in /megaten/
