Missions were still possible. Not having the ability to sponge a ton of personal damage, I could at least use the Banshee as a suit of carmor. Strategies existed to squeak out wins without being rich and powerful yet. Maybe the developers didn't intend it be played that way, but that's the fun part. In RDRO, it seems like they have refined the game to such an extent that maybe the alternate solutions don't exist. Maybe it's there and I just don't know it yet, but it seems like it's on rails to only play the way they intended, or you just don't play at all. And everything exist in an economy. Logically, if I kill some dude with a nicer gun, I should keep that stupid gun, but no. Not even stolen hats are kept. They just want everything to be wrapped hopelessly to the in-game economy. There is really no fun without paying, but if you had all the money to begin with, there's no grand end to work towards anyhow. If you had the money, you would just be done, because it seems like quite literally players are only buying gear for the sake of making money for the sake of buying more gear for the sake of making more money. At this point, I guess I have some fuzzy idea that my character should dress nice, but then IDK, kinda mission accomplished and game over.In a way RDRO mimics GTAO, buying careers/properties. But IDK, RDRO is just so to-the point that this exist as a way to grind more. I get progressively convinced that any fun to be had in GTAO was an accident.

Variations in security rotation with differently programed guards. Random NPC customers that may elect to intervene in some way. And of course lots of ways for players to intervene. Follow bank employee NPCs home and steal their badges, which are only effective for one in-game day following. Someone could infiltrate the police station and block attempts to call them, but such methods would surely only be effective for a limited time before the police realized that dispatches aren't happening normally.

Selling acid is boring to me and not different enough from biker gang drug sales. Also there's no heist, just missions with retards. The mission where you actually take acid feels low effort too, like some shit some player could have made as a custom job. Also feels like the DLC was meant to be selling meth with Trevor, but they can't get him anymore so they got Dax. To me, the last good DLC was the one that added the Cayo heist.
